To be aware of the signs of depression, and how an authorized nurse can support the patient is therefore of great value. The introduction to this study describes the symptoms of depression and how depression in Elders is expressed. It also describes treatment possibilities and nursing aspects of concern.

The aim of this study is to illustrate what possibilities the authorized nurse has to detect and to support the depressed elderly patient.

Many reports in recent years are suggesting that young people should be involved in the development of the digital society. The Swedish government's Digidel campaign launched in 2011 involved adolescents to train elderly people. This thesis builds on the campaign with its major aim being to investigate how young people think about digital society and their own knowledge and skills to promote digital inclusion.The research questions were set to examine how adolescents look upon the competencies needed in today's digital society, what specific skills and capital the adolescents suggest that they have which can promote digital inclusion and how projects in this direction are perceived by the participants. The theoretical framework is based on theories about social capital. It encompasses Bourdieu's theories about symbolic capital and people's habitus, Putnam's theories about social capital and the power of the organization and Gidden's vision about how people are organizing themselves in the modern world.

The aim of this study is to examine how teenage boysperceive the public library. How do they utilize the resourcesprovided by a public library? What are their thoughtsregarding what a public library offers in terms of services toits visitors? Four qualitative interviews with teenage boyswere done for the purpose of this study. The study showsthat these individuals perceive the library as a resource foryoungsters, women, Elders or people with disabilities orspecial needs, but not themselves..

In this essay I plan to mainly write about the Christian church. However, I will shortly mention other parishes.In the first part I will in the first chapter write how the church saw earlier on HBLT (Homo-, Bisexual, Lesbians and Transgender) people. In the second chapter how the situation is today and finally in the third chapter I will try to see how the situation is in the future in both in a positive and negative aspect.In the second part I will write about Troy Perry, the founder of M.C.C. Metropolitan Community Churches). In the first chapter I will write shortly about when he was growing up, in the second about his vocation to become a minister and in the third chapter about his founding of M.C.C.In the third and last part I will in the first chapter write about the first years, in the second chapter about how it is today and in the third and last chapter what the Elders in the church sees how the future will look like.My main question is to see if M.C.C.

Background: 2007 there was 42 000 fall related accidents in Sweden and they are expected to increase the next few years. Fall among Elders results in both increasing economically costs and suffering, but they can be prevented. For example has physical exercise shown an increasing effect on the risk for falls. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to investigate what influence Tai Chi has on the risk for falling among elder. Method: A literature review was conducted where eleven scientific articles were analysed with inspiration of the content analysis.

Background: Do our elder starve? A good nutrition state gives a good health and comfort. The research displays that is it exists shortages in energy and nutrition needs for the older. Aim: The aim with this study was to elucidate the mealorder and the mealsituation for the elder and how the nurse handles this. Method: This litterateur review was based on teri research studies.

Studiens övergripande syfte är "Att ur ett livsloppsperspektiv beskriva och analysera äldre personers erfarenheter av och berättelser om psykisk ohälsa och hur de upplever att den påverkar åldrandet". De ursprungliga frågeställningarna var: "Hur upplever äldre personer att åldras med psykisk ohälsa?" och "Hur kan psykisk ohälsa bland äldre förstås ur ett livsloppsperspektiv?". Under studiens gång utkristalliserades en tredje frågeställning som ett analytiskt resultat av datamaterialet. Den lyder: "Vilka livsstrategier använder dessa personer för att hantera sina liv med psykisk ohälsa?"Sex personer mellan 65 och 85 år intervjuades om sin subjektiva erfarenhet av att leva med psykisk ohälsa.

This report summarizes a Bachelor Degree Project in Integrated Product Development, carried out during the fall 2007 till spring 2008 by three students at the Product Design Engineering Program at the University of Skövde. The project was performed in cooperation with Lundbergs Möbler AB in Tibro. Lundbergs wants to start selling furniture to the public eldercare. The purpose of this project was to adjust one of their chairs. The project layout was to first make a preliminary investigation where the market, competitors? assortment and the purchasing process are studied.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur olika yrkeskategorier inom äldreomsorgen arbetar med HBTQ-frågor. Studien baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer och inkluderar fem informanter med olika arbetsuppgifter inom äldreomsorgen. Resultaten från intervjuerna har analyserats utifrån olika teman i en intervjuguide, med hjälp av queerteorin. Intervjuernas resultat visar att HBTQ-frågor inte blir belysta som enskilda frågor, men skulle vid behov kunna diskuteras under mångfalds- och jämlikhetsfrågor. Informanterna beskrev vikten av ett gott bemötande, oavsett vilken läggning brukaren hade.

Studies show that older is an increased proportion patients in hospital and that it is a patient group that can be difficult to communicate with because of older patients' often multiple disease picture. Relatives to the patient can be help for caregivers in the communication and the care of the patient. The aim with the study was to examine relative's experience of participation, meeting/support, accessibility and information on a geriatrics rehabilitation care unit. The study had a descriptive design and was designed as a questionnaire study. It was implemented on one geriatrics rehabilitation care unit on the countryside in central Sweden, belong to Uppsala University hospital.

This paper studies, from a client perspective, how three Swedish municipalities work with information about a voucher system in homecare. The paper is a qualitative study using structured informant interviews and analysis of documents. The interviewees are responsible of information about the voucher system in the municipalities. The studied documents describe and clarify the voucher system of the municipality. Neo-institutional organization theory is used to analyse the result.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe and compare the degree of selfreporting succession to the basal hygienic routines of emplyees working in municipal old peoples care versus hospital care. It is also to describe the access of material available in prevention of cross infections. The study was also carried out with a comparative and quantitative run up design. The study is based on a questionnaire in the district of Gävleborg in the spring of 2009. Nurses, auxiliaries and carers whom were in close contact with patients were asked to join the study.
