Syftet med detta arbete är att förbättra ett verktyg för strängsprutning (extrudering). Arbetet består av tre faser (konstruktion, tillverkning och statistiska analyser). Omkonstruktionen sker med hänsyn till en del områden som har potential för optimering. Man börjar med en förstudie för att lära sig mer om verktyget och produktionscykeln och för att få en bättre helhetsbild. Innan arbetets start fastläggs en del avgränsningar, så att studenterna får en ram att jobba inom.

The farm management system controlled traffic farming (CTF) aims to reduce soil compaction by restricting the field traffic from agricultural machinery to permanent traffic lanes. Literature and empirical findings show that soil compaction and field traffic from heavy machinery may affect crop growth negatively, reducing crop yields. If grass-clover leys are subject to heavy field traffic the botanic composition might be altered, providing a lower clover content in the forage. Clover as a silage feed is rich in protein providing good conditions for high yielding dairy cows. Grass-clover silage production is generally associated with intensive field traffic.

This paper explores a model for self-assessment of purchasing maturity in large companies. The author adapts contemporary purchasing theory and further enhances existing tools and procedures to create a survey based instrument for maturity measurementThe paper also explores potential methodological challenges associated with conducting a more extensive study of purchasing maturity via the proposed model. A preliminary study is made and the learnings discussed.The preliminary findings of the survey indicate that the purchasing maturity varies with industry. The purchasing function average score was found to be 3,4 out of 6 with samples spread across the whole spectra ? agreeing with previous theories stating that the purchasing maturity is highly varied between different industries..

Liberia har på senare tid präglats av instabilitet och misslyckat fredsbyggande. Vår ambition är att ge en välgrundad förståelse för inbördeskriget 1989-1996, och att på ett resonerande sätt besvara frågan varför man inte lyckades etablera varaktig fred efter krigsslutet. Uppsatsen är en teorikonsumerande fallstudie av Liberia med ett tvådelat syfte. Vårt fall analyseras utifrån teorier om krigsorsaker och fredsbyggande och empirin utgörs av tidigare forskning på området. De slutsatser vi nått är att kriget kan förstås som ett resultat av statens urholkade makt och de missförhållanden detta skapade.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att studera de narrativ som Greenpeace och Världsnaturfonden använder för att värva medlemmar och få gehör från allmänheten. Organisationerna tillhör den grupp som kallas för NGO vilket betyder non-govermental organization. Det är ett samlingsbegrepp för organisationer som inte är bundna till någon stat eller skapad av någon stat. Genom att använda en narrativ metod analyseras återkommande mönster som organisationerna använder för att nå sina mål. De här mönstren analyseras med Bourdieus kapitalteori för att visa vilka effekter narrativen har för organisationerna.

In this thesis the fullcontact sport roller derby is examined and it´s potential to work as a feminist strategy. Through interviews with six women who are active in the Gothenburgbased team Gothenburg Roller Derby the performative aspect of the sport is examined. Focus in the study is toinvestigate how, according to the informants, roller derby can challenge conventional norms about sex and gender. The result of the study shows how the informants through their participation in roller derby are able to perform a different type of femininity and in this process also are empowered as women. The study also shows how the women-only-aspect of the sport is of greatimportance in their experience of roller derby..

Detta examensarbete utgår ifrån psykologiska och medievetenskapliga teorier för att underbygga en studie bestående av ett praktiskt projektarbete och en vetenskaplig undersökning. Arbetet inspireras av berättarmöjligheterna och -begränsningarna i seriemediets kombination av text och stillbild. Verktyget i fokus är betoning i samtal, och frågeställningen gäller huruvida samma effekt som typografiskt betonad text kan förmedlas med ?stillbilds-läppsynkning? i lågupplösta bilder. Mediet som avses är inte seriemediet, utan en gren av tv-spelsmediet som bär på liknande begränsningar, nämligen ekonomiskt och tekniskt utmanade portabla spel.

Enligt lag är samtliga aktiebolag skyldiga att upprätta en årsredovisning. Det medför att även de allra minsta företagen måste upprätta denna handling.  Detta kan medföra stora kostnader för småföretagarna och många arbetstimmar för revisorerna. Vi valde att studera små aktiebolag med färre än elva anställa. Utifrån detta ifrågasatte vi vilken nytta småföretagarna har av denna handling. Denna diskussion utmynnade i vår problemformulering och vårt syfteI vilken utsträckning använder småföretagare årsredovisningsinformationen för ekonomisk styrning inom företaget och i vilken utsträckning nyttjar småföretagarna revisionsbyråerna för ekonomisk rådgivning.Syftet med studie är att analysera småföretagares förhållningssätt till ekonomisk styrning med hjälp av årsredovisningsinformationen.

Parallel to new technological advancements, including the development of interactive recommender systems, digital music services on the Internet, such as Spotify, have in a short time span gradually replaced former physical media such as CDs and MP3-players and become pioneers on a market with an otherwise uncertain future. By subscribing to the service, users have access to a vast library of music and from any device with Internet access. In order to provide a satisfactory and useful musical experience, different ways of coping with the vastness is required - which is precisely what recommender systems are for. Improved filtering techniques and use of devices built in sensors, make way for new opportunities of more precise and contextually tailored suggestions for track selection, which in turn leads to potential privacy issues when using interactive music services. But where do we stand today? By compiling, exemplifying and discussing three different perspectives with relating to the development of interactive music recommender systems, the objective for this paper is to provide a for science, industry and user, objectively nuanced account of current potentials and expectations.

This thesis, entitled The Headmaster and the Music, is based on interviews with four headmasters, who are all working in the Swedish compulsory school. The purpose is to investigate how they view music, both in general and as a school subject. Since the research on this topic is scarce, the study can be described as explorative.The result shows that the headmasters? personal experiences have an impact on the way they view music. Four different focus points on music in school have emerged from the material, and these represent the four very different views that each headmaster holds.

Denna undersökning har tilldelats från Peab Anläggning i Uppsala. Peabs intresse är att undersöka hanteringen av oönskade jordmassor för att kunna minska den ekonomiska och miljömässiga belastningen. Förutsättningarna för att lyckas undersöka detta har skett med hjälp av intervjuer med anställda på Peab, samt genom läsning av det undersökta projektets förfrågningsunderlag. Det givna projektet som studerades är en vatten- och tryckspillvattenledning i Uppsalaområdet.De faktorer som står i fokus för undersökningen är den ekonomiska och miljömässiga faktorn. Dessa punkter har undersökts med hjälp av en kontroll av arbetstider och hanteringsmetoder som undersökts.
