Studiens syfte var att ta reda på socialsekreterares uppfattning om barnfattigdom och hur den påverkar barn samt det förebyggande arbetet. För detta användes en kvalitativ metod som genomfördes med intervjuer med sex socialsekreterare och tolkades med hjälp av hermeneutisk metod. Resultatet visade att socialsekreterarnas definition av barnfattigdom stämmer överens med Rädda Barnens och att barn som lever med föräldrar med försörjningsstöd eller har låg inkomststandard lever i barnfattigdom. Påverkan för barnen är utanförskap på grund av att de inte har möjligheter att få moderiktiga materiella ting enligt informanterna. De menar också att fritidsaktiviteter är viktiga för att inte hamna utanför den sociala arenan.

The codling moth, Cydia pomonella is a common pest in apple orchards and can be found worldwide. Feeding by codling moth larvae can cause a substantial decrease in apple yield. Control methods comprise for example the use of pesticides, viruses and pheromones. As a sustainable control method, pheromones have been successfully applied to disrupt moth mating behaviour. Other behaviours like foraging, search for mating sites or host finding could be potential targets for additional odour-mediated behavioural manipulation but need further investigations of the underlying odour stimuli and behavioural plasticity. Many insects are attracted to the smell of fermenting fruit and associated microorganisms.

Idag är det modernt att arbeta mot en hållbar utveckling. För att nå en hållbar utveckling krävs det att företagen tar sitt ansvar och agerar på ett långsiktigt hållbart sätt. Företagens ansvar är uppdelat i tre olika områden: miljö, socialt och ekonomiskt och för att nå en hållbar utveckling ska dessa balanseras på ett optimalt sätt. Företag kan visa att de tar sitt ansvar för de tre områdena genom att upprätta hållbarhetsredovisningar, där de redovisar sitt förhållningssätt till hållbar utveckling genom att redogöra olika resultat och aktiviteter. Det har visat sig att det idag förväntas att företag tar sitt ansvar och genom att de hållbarhetsredovisar har många företag bland annat upplevt legitimitet och större trovärdighet från samhället.

The purpose of this study was to investigate a group of teenage girls and their relation to clothes by using the theories about habitus and different types of capital by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. We have used semiotics since we also wanted to know what clothes symbolized for our respondents. The questions were therefore:1. How is a group of teenage girls who go to school in Stockholm city influenced by their habitus and symbolical capital in their attitude and relation to clothes?2.

Den här uppsatsen är en undersökning av Svenska Dagbladets musikbevakning under 30 år, från 1980 till 2010. I en inledande kvantitativ delstudie undersöktes Svenska Dagbladets innehåll två veckor vart tionde år för att få svar på frågor som hur mycket det skrivits om olika musikstilar genom åren och hur bevakningen utvecklats och förändrats. Erfarenheter från den kvantitativa delstudien låg sedan till grund för en uppföljande kvalitativ delstudie där musikjournalister med lång erfarenhet av att arbeta på tidningen intervjuades. Det samlade resultatet visar att musikbevakningen i Svenska Dagbladet förändrats från att tidigare främst ha fokuserat på den klassiska musiken, till att i allt större utsträckning handla om modern populärmusik. Detta kan förklaras av ett sämre ekonomiskt läge för Svenska Dagbladet, en pågående trend i tidningsvärlden att skriva alltmer om populärkultur, en generationsväxling bland skribenterna och ett uppluckrande av tidningens tidigare kulturella identitet..

Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

Jämtkraft AB är ett kommunalägt företag som bland annat levererar el och fjärrvärme till Östersund stad. Kraftvärmeanläggningen i Lugnvik består av 3 pannor, panna 1 och 2 är äldre hetvattenpannor som eldas med biobränslen och torv, de används mestadels vid kallt väder och under sommaren. I kraftvärmeverket som kallas panna 3 eldas en blandning av biobränsle, returträ och torv. Panna 3 är en cirkulerande fluidiserande bädd (CFB) på 125 MW där 45 MW är elproduktion. Torv sameldas ofta med biobränsle eftersom det minskar risken för olika driftsproblem i pannan.

The electric vehicle market has potential to contribute to Sweden?s national goal to have a fossil fuel independent transport sector by 2030. However, the market answers to a lot of challenges making it difficult for the market to fully reach its potential. The volume of electric vehicles has seen a steady increase during the last year (2012), although many of these vehicles are mostly for PR purposes or bought by the public sector that wants to lead by example. Still, barriers in the form of high purchase costs, an anxiety for the limited battery capacity and the lack of standardisation are some of the problems that the market is struggling to solve.

The Swedish Cellulosa Companiy, SCA, has today 280 000 ha planted with lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta var. latifolia) (?C?) which is equivalent to 14 % of its total forest area. Exotic lodgepole pine has in previous experimental stands shown a superior growth than the native Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) (?S?).But also the comparison could be questioned because stand histories were was unknown and also differences in age between C and S existed.

Wastewater treatment is increasingly controlled by the Swedish environmental quality objectives, adopted by the Swedish parliament. There is a need for a sewage system that can fulfill stringent requirements concerning the environment, recycling and resource use and hygiene. Additional environmental aspects in recent years are the impact of climate change, new knowledge about the effects of pharmaceuticals in water, the need for improved wastewater treatment and increased recycling of nutrients to agriculture. This report has, from a future scenario of the year 2050, analyzed seven different systems for wastewater treatment and treatment of compostable biowaste from households in Eskilstuna. A future scenario was chosen based on that within a forty year period new challenges may arise which can result in higher demands on sewage treatment than those we see today. Another reason why the future scenario was established is that changes in wastewater treatment systems are slow to establish. The analysis is mainly focused on the economical aspects but environmental aspects such as emissions to receiving waters and potential recycling of plant nutrients has also been evaluated briefly.

This degree project is made for Cervera in Norrköping and Linköping. The task was to create a professional interactive homepage for the company where the company's range of products can be presented. Besides a homepage aimed towards potential customers, an online Internet-application where the company's employees can update, erase, and create posts that are stored in the database was created. The main programming languages have been PHP and HTML in combination with databases in MySQL. The final result was a functional, professional and informative homepage with a simple and pedagogical application for the employees.

In the report we have investigated four high-rise buildings with the intentions to find out witch parts are prefabricated and what relation can be found between structural design, prefabrication and the logistics. After the investigation we noticed that the grad of prefabrication in each one of the projects is good in relation to what purpose the building have and the given background. During the report we found that layout ? structural design ? prefabrication ? logistics is an order that we think can make the production of the building more effective if followed. We believe that the prefabrication of high-rise buildings have potential to grow and get more optimized in the future..

In today's society there is a significant focus on energy efficiency. Despite this, people leave lamps, televisions and computer screens etc. powered on unnecessarily. The goal of this project is to build a simple prototype for home automation where a user, via an application on a mobile phone, can switch on and off the power of an electrical products in the home and as well as being able to check whether such products are switched on or off. The prototype will also collect data on power consumption for these electrical products.

With a larger awareness of the climate changes and increasing electricity prices, energy efficiency measures in the industry have become more common. By rationalize the activity and by the same time decrease the emission of greenhouse gases the company can both save money and reduce negative environmental impact. For the Swedish industries the electricity price have traditional been relative low, which has resulted in a considerable larger usage than other European countries. By a deregulation of the European electricity market the electricity price will level off between the countries, which will cause a higher electricity price in Sweden than we are use to. To prevent that the Swedish industry don?t lose competitiveness against the other European countries, it will require energy efficiency activities in all different forms.ABB Sweden has decided to decrease their total energy usage with five percent in two years.

Det övergripande syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att utforska hur professionella hjälpare inom psykiatrin i Norrland etablerar och upprätthåller hjälpande relationer samt vilken syn de har på betydelsen av relationen för behandlingens utfall. I studien intervjuades fyra kuratorer som var anställda på psykiatriska kliniken i Norrland, varav två kvinnor och två män som representerade olika mottagningar. Det insamlade materialet analyserades med hjälp av en hermeneutisk metod och strukturerades upp med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. I resultatet framkom det att intervjupersonerna såg relationen som väldigt viktig, både för att få till stånd en behandling men också för att upprätthålla en pågående behandling. Relationen i sig ansågs vara en bärare av hjälpen såväl som en hjälp i sig.
