I en globaliserad värld, där multinationella företag uppkommer dagligen, blir det allt viktigare för företag att vara sociala medborgare. Den ökande globaliseringen, samt ett utvecklat informationssamhälle, medför att företag blivit alltmer transparenta för omvärlden. Forskning har visat att företags sociala ansvar, kommer att ha ännu större inverkan på verksamheten i framtiden. Därmed är det viktigt att företag har väl fungerande rutiner, för hur de skall hantera den här typen av arbete. I nuläget använder sig många organisationer av CSR som ett slags skydd mot allmänhetens missnöje, och utnyttjar inte konceptet till dess fulla potential.

Persistent improvement is a recurring and up-to-date issue that many business leaders not put enough resources on. A big problem in many companies is the issue that there is no comprehensive view and therefore some of the workers tend to not follow the routines that are required for the whole system to work.The goal with the essay is to give Växeln AB advice on to which areas in the company that have improvement potential.We have used a qualitative method with mainly semi-structured interviews which has led to an inductive approach. 13 co-workers that work in different areas of Växeln AB have taken part in the interviews.

Denna rapport undersöker,sammanställer och jämför denna produktionsmetod med platsbyggda utfackningsväggar ur ettarbetsmiljömässigt, produktionsmässigt, tidsmässigt och ekonomiskt perspektiv.Rapporten är framtagen på NCC:s begäran för att ge en indikation på vilkenproduktionsmetod som är mest lämplig vid kommande projekt. Intervjuer samt information ärhämtad från aktuella och pågående projekt i Örebro. Kostnader och tider utgår frånsammanställda fakturor och verkliga tidplaner. Arbetsmiljön har jämförts medproduktionspersonalens bedömda risker i förhållande till arbetsmiljöverkets föreskrifter.Rapporten tyder på att skillnaden ekonomiskt sett mellan prefabricerade och platsbyggdautfackningsväggar inte är stor.

To achieve the Government's milestones for 2018, which means that 50 % of food waste shall be separated from household waste and undergo biological treatment (composting or anaerobic digestion).   Hultsfred, Högsby and Vimmerby are three adjacent municipalities of Kalmar, county Småland. During 2012 and 2013 analyzes were performed on their household waste to determine its composition. The household waste is currently collected in one fraction. The work, examines how much food waste the household waste contains. From the amount of food waste, the biogas potential is examined - how much food waste biogas generates and how much energy it corresponds to.   Food waste is broken down by microorganisms under anaerobic conditions (anaerobic digestion) in a biogas plant.

The case study we conducted describes market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV. The purpose of this study is to find out what hinders potential entrants from entering the market as well as to discuss possible competitive strategies for potential entrants. Our conclusion is that even though the market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV can be viewed as attractive due to its fast growth, there are barriers to entry that block companies we identified as potential entrants from entering the market. The industry experience of the current market players (Teracom and Boxer) along with their knowledge of the consumers and the fact that Teracom is a multi-business company are some of the factors to be taken into consideration. Switching costs is the most important barrier to entry for the industry.

For the actors in the Swedish forest industry, it is important to have the ability to forecast the state in the privateforests. The information that comes out of the forecasts will be the base for the activities strategic direction.The aim in this exam is to survey what information that is present today as basis for forecast calculation, andeven to examine what other possibilities it might have in the future.From a limited geography and out of different time perspective forecast the felling potential in the privateforestry.With the word felling potential means regeneration felling and thinning. The purpose of the study is to explore how social workers work with youths that seek financial assistance and what importance gender plays in this process. The participants were six female social workers that work with financial assistance. They were interviewed and had to reflect over a case, where the client where either male or female. The results was analyzed and compared in relation to social constructive theory and gender theory. The study shows that social workers work in two parallel processes, when they decide about financial assistance and other help benefits, the formal and the intuitive.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på vad det betyder att vara ensamstående mamma samt vilka svårigheter dessa möter i ett konsumtionssamhälle. Huvudfrågorna i uppsatsen är: Vad innebär det att vara ensamstående mamma och hur påverkas de av att ha enskilt ekonomiskt ansvar? Hur är det att hushålla med låga inkomster som ensamstående och utföra omsorgsarbete och ge det bästa för barnens välbefinnande? Genom tidigare forskning och kvalitativ metod intervjuade vi fem ensamstående mödrar och uppsatsens huvudfrågor lyckades bli besvarade. Resultatet visade hur dessa ensamstående mödrar får avstå från exempelvis sociala aktiviteter med sina vänner på grund av deras låga inkomst, men även hur de prioriterar deras barn framför sig själva. Andra utmaningar som ensamstående mödrar möter är exempelvis hur samhället ser på dem och hur ett socialt utanförskap kan upplevas.

En önskan finns från brödföretaget Polarbröd AB i Älvsbyn att veta om det är tekniskt möjligt och ekonomiskt lönsamt att utvinna etanol ur gasen från bakugnarna. För detta ändamål togs prover på gasen som sedan analyserades med gaskromatografi. Proverna visade att gasen innehöll etanolånga motsvarande en volym av upp till 30 m3 etanol i vätskeform per år. De tekniska och ekonomiska förutsättningarna för att separera ut denna etanol undersöktes och det visade sig vara tekniskt fullt möjligt men ekonomiskt tveksamt att genomföra en sådan separering med konventionella metoder. Nya separationsmetoder under utveckling visade på betydligt bättre ekonomiska förutsättningar.

The present work is a continuation of the ideas developed in previous projects during my Masters studies that explored the relation between pattern, form and space. Starting from the pattern multiplication for space construction the present project proposes textiles as an assortment of flexible expressions. The purpose of the project is to explore aesthetic and functional potential of textiles for out door temporary structures. This is to create a pattern interface which filters sunlight through a textile surface to offer instant sheltering solutions for out door activities. The project combines research and analyses of outdoor temporary structures and scope of textile in the area.

I takt med globalisering och samhällstrender har det blivit allt viktigare för företagen att ta ett bredare ansvar för sitt agerande. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) innefattar ekonomiskt, legalt, etiskt samt filantropiskt ansvar och innebär för företagen ett arbete som bygger på lagar, egna initiativ och intressenters förväntningar. Att vara bra på något är också att vara bra på att förmedla det, att kunna kommunicera sitt CSR-arbete. Ämnen som transparens, strategi och förmåga att skicka rätt information genom rätt medium till rätt mottagare är vitala. Rapportens avsikt är att beskriva och skapa förståelse för hur ett detaljhandelsföretag kommunicerar sitt CSR-arbete på ett fördelaktigt sätt.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur socialsekreterare som arbetar inom Ekonomiskt bistånd/försörjningsstöd upplever sin yrkesstatus och vilka karriärmöjligheter de ser inom enheten. Fem socialsekreterare berättade i kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer om hur de upplever yrkesstatusen inom och utanför den egna organisationen, samt karriärmöjligheter inom enheten. De frågeställningar som låg till grund för studien var:- Hur upplever socialsekreterarna att yrkesstatusen på Ekonomiskt bistånd uppfattas inom den egna organisationen?- Hur upplever socialsekreterarna att yrkesstatusen på Ekonomiskt bistånd uppfattas av samarbetspartners?- Vilka karriärmöjligheter ser socialsekreterarna inom Ekonomiskt bistånd? I oktober år 2000 antog FN:s säkerhetsråd resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325) som behandlar kvinnor, fred och säkerhet. Detta var första gången kvinnors status i säkerhetspolitik behandlades på högsta internationella nivå, och resolutionen är delvis en produkt av lobbyarbete gjort av kvinnors NGO:s. Denna studie ämnar undersöka vilka potential UNSCR 1325 har för uppluckrandet av ojämlika mönster i könspositioner som finns inom fältet för fred och säkerhet. Studien består av en idéanalys och en praktisk analys som görs utifrån tre dimensioner ur feministisk teori. Analysen visar att de idéer resolutionen vilar på inte utmanar de rådande snäva mönster i könspositioner som finns i dagens säkerhetspolitik och har därför heller inte potential att göra det praktiskt.

Lean has been studied intensely since the 1980s and it has been tested and successfully implemented in a wide variety of businesses. This thesis aims to examine the potential effects of a Lean implementation on meeting efficiency, a topic that has gotten little attention in the research community. First, a number of meeting problems are introduced, as they are perceived from the company that is the subject of the study. Second, the potential of introducing Lean in a meeting process is evaluated using the Lean Thinking principles. Third, the wastes that are generated from the meeting problems are identified.

The City of Stockholm has decided to invest in renewable energy and especially in photovoltaics. The objective of this thesis is to investigate the photovoltaic potential on roof areas that the city possesses and to further investigate some buildings of the Property Management Department. The thesis also compares some existing photovoltaic plants with the solar irradiance map which shows available roof area on each building in Stockholm. The report ends with a literature study about the climate impact and greenhouse gas emissions of photovoltaic.The total available roof area suitable for photovoltaic plants is estimated to 700 000 m2, with a potential electricity production of 110 GWh per year. This corresponds to 17 % of the City of Stockholm?s yearly electricity consumption.
