Syfte: Att utifra?n litteratur beskriva hur sjuksko?terskan kan identifiera tecken pa? depression hos tona?ringar med typ 1 diabetes och hur hon kan sto?dja dessa tona?ringar. Metod: En deskriptiv litteraturstudie som baseras pa? 15 artiklar so?kta i databaserna CINAHL och PubMed samt genom manuella so?kningar.Huvudresultat: Tecken pa? depression hos tona?ringar med typ 1 diabetes a?r ho?gt HbA1c-va?rde, la?g frekvens av blodsockerkontroller och la?gre livskvalite?. Sjuksko?terskan kan anva?nda sig av standardiserade ma?tinstrument fo?r att identifiera tecken pa? depression hos tona?ringar med typ 1 diabetes, till exempel CDI, CES-D, YSR, WHO-5 och VAS.Tona?ringar med typ 1 diabetes o?nskar sto?da?tga?rder i form av skra?ddarsydda strukturerade undervisningsprogram, roliga aktiviteter och uppfo?ljning via SMS.

Bakgrund: Depression visade sig vara en av de vanligaste orsakerna till ohälsa i världen. Obehandlad depression medförde ökad risk för negativa livshändelser. Syftet var att belysa tonåringars upplevelser av sin depression. Metod: Litteraturstudie med innehållsanalys av 15 artiklar publicerade mellan 2000-2010. Resultat: Tonåringarna upplevde psykiska och fysiska symtom.
