The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject.    I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

In process oriented organizations, it is important to have well-functioning work processes tosupport the work being performed. In order to accomplish this, the organization has to makecertain decisions regarding the design and usage of the processes. This master thesis is based ona case study of a work process that is being used for the industrialization of products at Ericssonin Katrineholm. The aim of the study is twofold. One aim is to improve the studied process byidentifying improvement opportunities and carrying out the required adjustments.

Som ett sätt att effektivisera produktionen har Lean blivit ett populärt tankesätt inom byggbranschen. Lean har sin grund i bilindustrin och Toyota Production System men har anpassats till förutsättningarna inom byggindustrin. Tanken med Lean är att öka effektiviteten i produktionen genom att eliminera värdeförluster som förbrukar resurser och inte tillför kunden något värde. Dessa värdeförluster definieras ofta som slöseri i form av materialspill, tidsförluster, omarbete, överarbete, transporter och lager. Slöseriet i byggprojekt kan motsvara upp till 30-35% av projektets totala produktionskostnad.

Rundviks sågverk investerade vintern 2007 i systemet GPS Timber. Systemet som är GPS-baserat syftar till att underlätta timmerhanteringen och säkerställa att rätt timmerklass läggs i vältorna och på sågbordet. Dessutom samlar systemet fortlöpande in data angående truckarnas aktiviteter för att möjliggöra analys av vad som sker på timmerplanen.Studien syftar till att undersöka vad införandet betytt för truckförarnas arbete med timmerhanteringen samt vad systemet har för effekt på ekonomin. Med hjälp av insamlad data av GPS Timber ska analysen dessutom resultera i potentiella effektiviseringsområden rörande timmerhanteringen för att förbättra ekonomin i en relativt dyr process. Analysen har visat att truckförarnas arbete har förenklats mycket i och med införandet av GPS Timber.

This thesis investigates and emphasises on the way students at Växjö police academy describe their socialization into their profession as police officers and the creation of profession identity. The scientist?s main questions are: In what way do the students at Växjö police academy describe their socialization process into the police profession? What role does the organisation play in the socialization process of the police students? How do the students develop their police identity? Which qualities are encouraged? The study is based on qualitative interviews with nine police students, performed in groups of three. Group theory, role theory, and organization theory are applied to the material to provide an understanding through which it is possible to understand the process of socialization. The study shows that there seems to be patterns in the description of a professional identity.

Problem På arbetsmarknaden finns kravet att den arbetssökande bör ha arbetslivserfarenhet inom ramarna för den sökta tjänsten. Saknas sådan erfarenhet finns risken att arbetsgivaren anställer en mer erfaren person. Syfte Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att effektivisera rekryteringsprocessen för nyutexaminerade studenter för att öka deras möjligheter till integrering i arbetslivet. Antagandet är att en effektivisering av rekryteringsprocessen ska skapa ett större värde för uppdragsgivaren till en så låg kostnad som möjligt. Metod Undersökningen är av kvalitativ karaktär där vi med hjälp av olika modeller analyserar resultatet från intervjuerna, som vi genomförde med Proffice och sex företag i Skåne och Blekinge som tidigare har anlitat bemanningsföretag i rekryteringssyfte. Slutsatser Vid rekrytering av en nyutexaminerad student visar det sig att en kontinuerlig kommunikation mellan uppdragsgivare och bemanningsföretag bidrar till att resultatet av tjänsten bättre uppfyller uppdragsgivarens önskemål.

How does IT-consultants reason in their consulting process regarding the development of a clients IT-based internal recruitment system? The purpose with this paper is to investigate how an IT-consultant is reasoning in a consulting process and investigate whether consultants are using established models and methods in their work. We have chosen to work with a qualitative examination to attain our purpose. In our work gathering the empirical facts we have been working with a case study, an observation and a simulation exercise. The combination of these has made it possible to carry out the paper and produce the most correct data possible.

The use of balanced scorecards have spread explosively throughout the world during the last decade. This management tool have become very common in a vide spread variety of organisations on all continents. Many balanced scorecard fails though and scorecard theorists often blame the identification- and implementation process as they claim that these lay the foundation for the use of the tool. As my literature study shows, academic research on the area is rare. Particularly the effect on the implementation process from organisational dynamics and organisational structures needs further research.

This study investigates the succession process in family businesses and aims to enhance the understanding of the process as a whole, as well as how family businesses strategically plan for succession. The research is based on a case study of a family corporate group undergoing a transition from the fourth to the fifth generation. A qualitative research approach was employed, involving interviews with individuals from both the fourth and fifth generations, as well as external stakeholders who have influenced the process. The results show that the planning and implementation of succession are complex and that there is a certain lack of existing theory. Empirical evidence indicates that contracts and documentation are crucial for advancing the process. Inclusion of external parties is also important, not only for their expertise but also to provide an objective perspective.

De flesta av Sveriges kommuner har sedan länge sökt samverkan med närliggande kommuner för att uppnå kostnadsbesparingar och effektivisering. Ett av de områden som kommunerna söker samverkan kring är IT. The main advantages they can see is that they are able to influence technical solutions and methods that will be used later on in the production. Therefore it is important to consider when construction workers should be involved in the planning process so that they get the chance to influence in this decisions.When it comes to the decision making the construction workers should be involved in the decisions that are related to their tasks in the production such as technical solutions, choice of methods and materials. Their main duties and working hours should be in the production.Involvement in planning does not automatically mean that the construction workers are involved in the decision making, it is up to them how much they participate.
