The mistakes and failures on the roof are noticed during inspection of the construction, many of the commentaries are recurring. A contractor should only need to get a commentary once and then learn from the mistake. It has in this study been brought to light that the solution is not to tell the contractors to "stop slattern", it is more complicated than that. Today, the biggest problems are found in leadership, communication, feedback of experience and that the entrepreneurs take too little responsibility.To minimize the amount of commentaries all contractors need to work with a clearer leadership where the leader is both respected and appreciated. The leader must in an effective way be able to convey all the information to all employees.

AbstractBackground: The company that this report addresses is, at time for investigation, in the midst ofa change in organizational culture, where two departments with different core competencies arebrought together into one. The purpose of this study is to review the potential problems that mayoccur in the change process when one or more subcultures come into conflict with organizationalgoals.Purpose and methodology: The reason for performing this study and the objectives are toexamine how subcultures influence and respond to organizational changes. The survey isconducted with a bottom-up approach in which participation in daily activities with thesubgroups is the foundation. The management's perspective has been omitted in consideration ofpast literature in the field where focus most often has been on their thoughts and views on theprocess of organizational change. The method used is participant observation and interviews.Results and Conclusion: Subcultures exist and they do affect an organizational change.

Att bli utbränd är något som drabbar allt fler i vårt samhälle. Mitt syfte med studien, har varit att se vilka processer i organisationerna som kan leda till att de som arbetar där blir sjuka.För att kunna göra detta, har jag med en induktivansats gjort en kvalitativ empirisk undersökning med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Jag har intervjuat fem stycken som har diagnosen utbränd och bett dem berätta vad de upplevt i sina organisationer.Jag har sedan försökt förklara resultatet av undersökningen och efter det gjort en analys- och diskussionsdel, där jag tar upp konsekvenserna av de processer som mina intervjuade tog upp.Resultatet av undersökningen pekar på att det är extra viktigt att ha tydliga syften med organisationen när man har styrning genom kultur. Detta blir ännu viktigare om man samtidigt har en så flexibel struktur, som organiska strukturer innebär. Många organisationer har dolda syften och därmed dubbla budskap.Mycket i min undersökning tyder på att individen och gruppen själv styr sitt arbete utifrån en egen kvalitetssyn, som är svår att få gemensam i organisationen.

This thesis examines the retrieval effectiveness of two Web search engines. The two search engines are chosen to represent two different types Google as a broad general search engine and Dogpile as a broad general metasearcher. Twenty queries have been used and the first twenty hits for each query were evaluated for relevance. The queries were invented by the authors, based upon their interests and information needs. They were expressed in a general manner, by using one or several keywords, in accordance with the simple search mode available for each search engine.

The purpose of this study was to examine how four different choir conductors work with children's and youths' individual voices during choir rehearsal. Further aims of this essay are to shed light upon relevant research within the topic. I used a qualitative method of researching observations with low structure and structured interviews.

The industrialized timber housing process is capable nowadays to build multi-storeyhouses since fairly new changes in the Swedish regulations where made after theadmission of the European Union in 1994.The industrialized process moves parts of the construction process into a highlyeffective factory where 3D-volumes of the building are prefabricated beforetransportation to the building site for assemble.The assembly process is relatively effective compared to the completion of thebuilding service system and this is therefore the main focus in this thesis. In this work we?ve been focusing on how to adjust educational computer games in order to make them suited for the educational context of upper secondary school. Our opinion and entrance to the study is that the related developers of the subject, in some ways, have failed to successfully combine and find the balance between the entertaining and pedagogical aspects in the games. Our main questions is which aspects in the games game developers need to take in consideration to satisfy the pupils, but also what qualities that is needed for them to function in their educational context. In order to do that we had to investigate the people of the target groups own perspective on what technological and social aspects in the computer games they assess as important.

In past decades information technology has changed the conditions of organizations, not at least within the industry. Advanced IT systems have become a fact in order to cope with rapid changes in the market and to effectively manage an organization?s knowledge. When organizations became more flexible and customized expectations from customers and stakeholders also become higher. These expectations and guidelines are documented in a company?s management system, which can be designed differently depending on what standards the company chooses to implement.

This thesis approaches the problem of estimating the arm angles of an industrial robot with flexibilities in joints and links. Due to cost-cutting efforts in the industrial robots industry, weaker components and more cost-effective structures have been introduced which in turn has led to problems with flexibilities, nonlinearities and friction. In order to handle these challenging dynamic problems and achieve high accuracy this study introduces state observers to estimate the tool position.The observers use measurements of the motor angles and an accelerometer and the different evaluated observers are based on an Extended Kalman Filter and a deterministic variant. They have been evaluated in experiments on an industrial robot with two degrees of freedom. The experimental verification shows that the state estimates can be highly accurate for medium frequency motions, ranging from 3-30Hz.

Världen idag kännetecknas av att vara en global arbetsplats där landsgränser inte utgör ett hinder för att människor från olika kulturer ska kunna samarbeta med varandra. Vi ser det som intressant att behandla den internationella arbetskontexten utifrån ett ledarskapsperspektiv och se på hur man som chef kan behöva anpassa sitt ledarskap till en ny kultur.Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera hur tre svenska chefers ledarskap fungerar i och har behövt anpassas till en polsk arbetskontext. Utifrån tre svenska och tre polska chefers utsagor undersöker vi hur förberedelserna inför deras uppdrag gått till, vilka kulturella skillnader som cheferna har stött på samt vilka lärdomar de svenska cheferna tar med sig från sitt uppdrag.Uppsatsen är en empirisk studie som ägt rum inom företaget Stena Recycling AB. Metoden har varit kvalitativ och det empiriska materialet har samlats in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med tre svenska och tre polska chefer.För att ledarskapet för en svensk chef i en polsk arbetskontext ska fungera behövs förmågan att kunna anpassa sitt perspektiv på organisation och ledarskap samt sin människosyn för att kunna hantera den nya situationen. Inför ett internationellt uppdrag är det viktigt att lära sig om den kultur som kännetecknar ens nya arbetsplats.

Undersökningsmetod som används är kvalitativ samtalsintervju (intervjuer där respondenter och intervjuare sitter tillsammans och samtalar om frågorna) utifrån ett fast frågeschema med öppna frågor.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hälsorelaterad livskvalitet, ångest/depression och vårdtillfredsställelse hos kvinnor med bröstcancer tidigt i sjukdomsförloppet samt att undersöka om det fanns ett samband mellan dessa aspekter. Vidare studerades förklarande bakgrundsfaktorer; demografiska, socioekonomiska och medicinska faktorer samt psykosocialt stöd. Denna tvärsnittsstudie genomfördes som en enkätstudie kompletterat med medicinska data från Regionalt register för bröstcancer i Uppsala/Örebroregionen. Totalt 1574 förfrågningar om deltagande gick ut, varav 69 % valde att delta i studien. Niohundratrettiotvå kvinnor ingick i de slutliga analyserna (59 %).

By exploring different forms of urban cultivation and looking into future gains of sustainability, I want to focus on unconventional and perhaps necessary ways of building, living and making a living. This will be made through study of literature on the topic.Urban cultivation could be anything from a pot of basil in the kitchen window to a city farm. The core of the concept is that the food is produced where it is eaten, in or in direct vicinity to the city and that it is produced ecologically. There will be many benefits, ecological, economical and social.The world is at a turning point right now where consumption patterns and the industry processed food are questioned and it is important that the things we consume are genuineand authentic. We want food that is locally and ecologically produced; food that we can trust.

Objective ? To study the requirement of nursing care of the equine patient during eye treatment with a lavage system together with a constant rate infusion pump. Procedures ? Three veterinary nurses at ATG: s Hästsjukhus in Skara were asked nine questions at individual interviews. Inclusion criteria for participation in the interview were that the nurse should have treated equines with and without the infusion pump to the lavage system, but also traditionally with eye drops. Results ? The equine had a higher well-being since it experienced less stress during eye treatment with the infusion pump compared to treatment given by hand through the lavage system. The treatment would be more effective with constant rate infusion and save costs for the owner.

Bakgrund: Samhället står idag, till följd av 40-talisternas förväntade pensionsavgångar, inför en omfattande generationsväxling. Således ställs allt högre krav på gynnsam kompetens- försörjning inte minst inom kommunal sektor. För att möta problematiken är Traineeprogram inom denna sektor en växande trend varför vi såg det som ett intressant studieobjekt att utvärdera Traineeprogrammet Skåne Nordväst.Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva och analysera traineeprogrammets bakgrund, process och utfall, att utifrån det organisations- pedagogiska perspektivet förklara programmets utfall på individ och organisationsnivå samt att diskutera principer för utveckling av traineeprogram.Metod: De metodologiska utgångspunkterna för den empiriska studien är en kvalitativt inriktad fallstudie med induktiv ansats och ramfaktormodellen som struktur.Resultat: Genom att studera traineeprogrammet i sin helhet framgick en rad kritiska moment som kan sägas ha haft påverkan på det i stort gynnsamma utfallet. För att skapa en förklarings- modell relaterades resultatet till former av utveckling och kollektiva lärprocesser. Detta diskuterades sedan med avseende på hur syftesuppfyllelsen i programmet är beroende av synen på utveckling, som formning eller emergent.
