Gråzonens barn -En studie i gränslandet mellan normalitet och avvikelse, mellan individen och kollektivet
The purpose of this study is to research into the role of the citizen and the Educational system in Sweden throughout periods of time based on previous theoretic works, and also to deepen the understanding of students with special needs in Swedish education focusing on the primary school years. This shall be carried out by illustrating the different points of view and choices within the Educational system that are at hand for students with concentration difficulties and social difficulties.I will analyze these points through a cultural and social perspective on contemporary society in order to contribute towards today?s discourse on the norm. The result of this empirical investigation presents a dilemma existing in the democratic Educational system of today. Nationally and internationally, the Educational system has been structured around a normative system containing both rights and duties that effect everyone working within it.
Ur ett genusperspektiv : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av två utbildningsprogram: Home Farm Twins och Rena rama forntiden
Our aim with this study is to investigate whether or not Utbildningsradions - which is a public broadcasting agency - Educational programmes reproduce the existing gender patterns of the female and male genders. We have chosen to analyse two Educational programmes, Home Farm Twins and Rena rama forntiden.We use a social constructionist theory regarding the construction and reproduction of gender and the method we have chosen to use is a qualitative content analysis to study the Educational programmes.Our conclusion is that in the case of Home Farm Twins, it reproduces the current stereotypes that exist in society. Rena rama forntiden on the other hand does not, the program has got a clear gender perspective in regards to its content. Though it can be said that in some ways it does not reflect upon the gender patterns that exist in society today, to a satisfactionary extent.Utbildningsradion does not achieve its policy concerning Home Farm Twins, but on the other hand it shows that in the case of Rena rama forntiden they do own up to the standards regarding cultural diversity and creative aim..

This essay is about the representation of orthodox Christianity in Swedish Educational material. With the help of my analytical approach inspired by Michel Foucault, I have studied material used in school for the subject Religion. I have limited the Educational material in two ways. First, the main reason for this is that I am only interested in material written and produced from the year 2010 until today. Secondly, the material I have chosen to focus on is written for the grades 7-9 and for high school.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how twelve middle school teachers use Educational
tools and what influences their choice of Educational tools in Swedish language writing instruction.
To answer this purpose, three research questions were formulated: What does writing
instruction look like for middle school students according to the teachers in the study?
What influences teachers' choice and use of Educational tools in writing instruction? What
opportunities and challenges do teachers experience in Swedish language writing instruction
when using different Educational tools? Twelve teachers from variously sized municipalities
and with different experiences participated in the study through purposive sampling and
convenience sampling. The chosen method is qualitative semi-structured teacher interviews.
To analyse the results, this study employs analytical tools from the sociocultural perspective,
using concepts such as mediation, appropriation, the zone of proximal development, and
scaffolding. The results show that both analogue and digital tools are used in the teachers'
writing instruction. The choice of tools should be based on pedagogical considerations, with
an emphasis on social interaction and collaboration during the learning process.
Elev i behov av särskilt stöd : Vad betyder det?
This is a qualitative study of how 4 school teachers and 3 special Educational teachers define the term ?pupil in need of special education?. They have each one been interviewed about this term, by the means of a semi-structured interview. Afterwards the collected information has been analyzed and seven major themes have been arranged out of them. From these themes it is possible to see that the term is hard to define, since the participants all believe that it should be decided by each individual case, if the pupil is in need of special education or not, and that the education in itself has to be relevant to the need, which means one cannot decide what special Educational needs are, without a student who is in need of them.

Introduction: Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a great public health issue that can cause serious physical, psychological and psychosomatic injuries to the woman. Education is one out of many important protective factors against IPV. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the association between women?s Educational level and IPV in low- and middle-income countries, the interaction between the education of the woman and the man and IPV, how education on different levels (individual-, family- and community-level) influences IPV and how gender is connected to education and IPV. Method: A literature-based study with 12 selected scientific articles as the foundation for the analysis was performed.
När tar man fram kondomen? : En studie om lärares attityder till UR och RFSU:s projekt för en bättre sexualundervisning
The debate in the media on a new Swedish sex education movie sparked our interest in this study. The twenty-eight minutes long movie ?Sex on the map? is the first of it?s kind in twenty-five years. It is also part of a bigger sex Educational project that contains, apart from the movie, a book about sex education, a documentary and a teachers guide. The project is a co-production between the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company (UR) and the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU).We were interested in how teachers received information about the project, and what their attitudes were towards it.

In 2014 came new guidelines for after-school centers. These guidelines clarifies that it is the principal who is pedagogically responsible for the after-school centers. Due to that fact we became interested in investigating how principals describe their Educational leadership for after-school centers. With qualitative interviews as a method we have investigated how four principals describe their Educational leadership for the after-school center based on the new guidelines and how they talk about their employees and the after-school centers. Our results are based on the empirical material we received from these interviews. By analyzing this empirical material, based on the theory of situational leadership, we received answers to our research questions. .

This study is an assignment from Västerbottens läns landsting (VLL). The study?s main objective is to examine physical exercise habits and the most common motives for exercise among employees at VLL. It also compares Educational status and gender differences to see if there is any significant dissimilarity regarding motives. The study is a quantitative study that used an electronic questionnaire to collect data from the respondents.
Föräldrars utbildningsnivå : En studie om hur elevernas prestationer som påverkas av föräldrarnas bakgrund
This study is about how students 'performance in school is influenced by parents' Educational background. The study has been performed by cooperation with two schools in Stockholm. One class in each school has participated and the students have amongst other questions answered regarding their grades in natural science subjects. To examine whether parents 'Educational background affect students' performance, a quantitative survey in the form of poll has been conducted. Even a literature review was conducted in this area to get a clearer picture of how parents' Educational background affects the performance of students.This study shows that students who have academic parents perform better than students who have not got academically educated parents.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the contemporary Educational tasks of the Swedish public library as they manifest in Swedish library journals. Our main question at issue is: Which Educational discourses are there? And in relation to our main question: how do the concepts of information literacy, lifelong learning and adult education relate to each other? Is there an antagonism between the public library's duty to supply fiction as opposed to non-fiction? and: What are the consequences of these discourses in the service provided by the library?Our theoretical starting-point is the discourse theory as proposed by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. We analyse 39 texts from four Swedish library journals: Ikoner, bis, DIK-forum and Biblioteksbladet. The analysis is done in two phases.

This paper is named ?The status of the programme is low? ? Gymnasium teacher?s thoughts and attitudes towards students in the vocational- and the Educational programmes. The purpose is, as the title reveals, to examine the attitude of four teachers in the Swedish gymnasium towards the vocational and the Educational programmes and the students that attend either one of them. This purpose is accompanied by research which says that the Educational programmes? status is higher than one of the vocational programmes.
En annan värld kan bli möjlig : En studie om ABF:s bildningsideal i det mångkulturella samhället
The purpose of this paper is to investigate, analyse and interpret the Educational ideals of the ABF (Workers Educational Association) as they are understood by five members within ABF. The paper also examines how the Educational ideals are represented in the national guidelines and statues of the ABF. The basic theoretical perspectives are intercultural theory and theories about Bildung and adult liberal education in a multi-cultural pedagogical environment presented by Bernt Gustavsson and Hans Lorentz respectively.The empirical study consists of five semi-structured interviews and a text study of the official documents of the ABF. The data is interpreted with hermeneutic and semiotic tools. Organisational theory focusing on organizational culture has also contributed to the study.The result of the study, when analysed in accordance to the methods, shows mainly four things.

Utbildningsnivåns och demokratins inverkan på ekonomisk tillväxt
The purpose with this paper is to examine if tertiary education and democracy have an impact on economic growth. In order to decide how democratic the examined countries are the democracy index constructed by The Economist is used. Besides the two central theories the purpose is also to explain why these variables could affect growth and to examine direct and indirect effects. Indirect effects mean that one variable affects another variable which thereafter has an impact on economic growth.34 OECD countries are compared in order to investigate whether education and democracy are strongly correlated with BNP per capita. Therefore a statistical design is used as method.The empirical results suggest that there is significant correlation between democracy and economic growth.
