This thesis in Educational Sciences consists of a narrative ideology-analysis of the Swedish school's fundamental values with perspectives from the philosophy of Nietzsche and Kant, which also analyzed the same way, with the aim to trace and problematize the ideological foundations of "our society's shared values" that teachers should convey to the students. Based on a theory that a humanism crisis occurs when important values are perceived as threatened, does the introduction of the basic values of the curriculum appear as a response tosocietal changes. Nietzsche and Kant represent completely different idea currents that both have been reflected in the curriculum in which basic values have different meanings. Nietzsche has inspired social criticism, postcolonial and postmodern thinkers to a critical constructivist approach that is an asset in the multicultural classroom to deconstruct stereotypes and prejudices. That culture, ethnicity, morality and religion do not have an objective essence, but seen as social constructions, using a critical approach is a way of thinking which was developed with inspiration from Nietzsche.

The purpose of this thesis is to look into the knowledge city concept and the preferences and requirements of companies on such a city. Furthermore, suggestions of ideal conditions in a knowledge city are proposed. The thesis has been conducted through a qualitative approach where a deductive procedure has been implemented. In order to examine knowledge cities, Barcelona has sketchily been looked at as an early example of a knowledge city, whereas a more exhaustive observation of Copenhagen was conducted. Since the concept of knowledge cities is a rather new phenomenon, models from several disciplines constitute the theoretical framework.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur unga flickor ser på sina egna kroppar och hur dessa flickor serpå de normer som förmedlas om hur man ?ska? se ut. Samt hur detta märks i det vardagliga livet. Studienbygger på 6 intervjuer med flickor som är mellan 14 och 15 år gamla och går på en högstadieskola i Umeå.Materialet har analyserats med kvantitativ innehållsanalys. De teoretiska ramverk som studien utgår från ärgenerella sociologiska teorier om kroppen, genus och flickforskning.

This essay consists of a heuristic analysis of referents in the Swedish educational act, leaning on the methodological guidelines of discourse analysis. The overall aim of the essay has been to analyse in what way language in the educational act works as guidelines and law in relation to teachers? work. To correspond to this aim an openly structured questionnaire has been used, providing an empirical view of how teachers understand certain words, or referents, in the educational act. This empirical data has then been shaped to a spectrum view of the definitions of the referents showing a number of deductable facts, including the significance of the apparent use of institutional and professional language, which then have been viewed from two theoretical perspectives.

Under utbildningen inom samhällsbyggnad med inriktning stadsplanering på KTH har det funnits två teoretiska koncept som varit centrala och återkommande: hållbarhetsbegreppet med de tre aspekterna ekologisk, ekonomisk och social hållbarhet, samt kommunikativ planering. Dessa två, inom teorin till stor del skilda tankesfärer har under utbildningen däremot sällan diskuterats i relation till specifika praktiska kontexter varför deras kompatibilitet inte problematiserats. Denna uppsats ämnar därför utforska hur en planeringsprocess präglad av ideal om hållbarhet och kommunikativ planering kan se ut i praktiken samt diskutera vilken potential en planeringspraktik inom detta teoretiska gränsland har att svara upp mot de ideal om hållbarhet och medbestämmande som den är präglad av. Mer specifikt ämnar uppsatsen undersöka frågeställningarna:Hur ser en planeringspraktik styrd av ideal om hållbarhet och kommunikativ planering ut?Vilka begränsningar och möjligheter kan en sådan praktik vara präglad av?Studien är tvådelad och inleds med en litteraturstudie av de två teoretiska koncepten hållbarhet och kommunikativ planering för att undersöka deras kompatibilitet från ett teoretiskt perspektiv.

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningarSyftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad hälsotidningar anser vara viktiga faktorer för att generera en god hälsa och vad en god hälsa innebär, samt om det har förändrats under en tioårsperiod. För att undersöka det har en innehållsanalys av två olika hälsotidningar genomförts. Frågeställningarna som undersökningen utgått ifrån är:Hur ser innehållet ut i tidningarna? Skiljer sig detta mellan år och mellan tidningarna? Vad har det man skriver om för vetenskaplig anknytning? Larmas det mer eller mindre idag än för tio år sedan? På vilket sätt kan innehållet i tidningarna kopplas till de ideal som råder i dagens samhälle? MetodFrån år 1998 och 2008 har de tio första numren valts ut av tidningarnaHÄLSA och Må Bra . Fokus i undersökningen har legat på de artiklar som man gör reklam för på framsidan av tidningen.

The concept of democracy is of importance to the Swedish educational system. The best proof of that is the central position democracy has had in the education program we attended at the Örebro university. This study analyses the concept of democracy and its leading foundation, namely the so-called ?deliberative dialog?. The last is belived to be an ideal of democracy which schools in Sweden should follow.

However, the transformations are based on normative structures and ideas regarding the female body, which, on the one hand governs the participants? needs for a make-over in the first place, and on the other hand forms the basis of the experts? authority.

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine how the educational work of the Swedish public library was regarded in the Swedish library journal Biblioteksbladet at three different periods of the twentieth century, i.e. the thirties, the sixties and the nineties. Using a theoretical framework from the field of professionalization and a methodological framework of hermeneutics, it is shown that the educational work of the thirties can be described as having a focus on free learning whereas the educational work of the sixties can be described as having a focus on public utility. The educational work of the nineties focuses on the information seeking process of the user. It is noted that this development during the century can be understood as a shift of the cognitive authority of the public librarians.

Denna uppsats gör med hjälp av Erwin Panofskys ikonologiska metod en analys av en serie på nitton porträtt av kända 1600-tals män. Dessa porträtt, vilka idag är placerade i biblioteket på Skoklosters slott utreds i sin ikonografi och sätts in i ett större ikonografiskt sammanhang. Porträtten har ett unikt utseende då de är målade på furupannå och sedan kontursågade kring den porträtterades huvud. Avsikten med uppsatsen är att förstå deras syfte och ursprung. Uppsatsen behandlar frågor som varför man har valt att göra dessa porträtt och om det finns en koppling mellan dessa och bibliotekskonst i stort.

The purpose with this paper is to examine if tertiary education and democracy have an impact on economic growth. In order to decide how democratic the examined countries are the democracy index constructed by The Economist is used. Besides the two central theories the purpose is also to explain why these variables could affect growth and to examine direct and indirect effects. Indirect effects mean that one variable affects another variable which thereafter has an impact on economic growth.34 OECD countries are compared in order to investigate whether education and democracy are strongly correlated with BNP per capita. Therefore a statistical design is used as method.The empirical results suggest that there is significant correlation between democracy and economic growth.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur sångpedagoger inom de klassiska respektive de populärmusikaliska sångtraditionerna förhåller sig till enskild sångundervisning, samt hur de designar sin undervisning. Data har samlats in genom intervjuer med fyra sångpedagoger, samtliga verksamma på eftergymnasial nivå. Två av informanterna arbetar i huvudsak inom den klassiska genren, de andra två inom pop-genren. Intervjuformen var kvalitativ intervju med öppna följdfrågor. Analysen av materialet är gjord utifrån ett designteoretiskt perspektiv.Resultatet visar att informanternas val av resurser är liknande oavsett genretillhörighet.

Problem: Lunch är någonting som berör de flesta människor och det finns många sätt att äta lunch på idag. Vi har valt att fokusera på lunchen i en restaurangmiljö då här uppstår en socialsituation eftersom man på dessa ställen ofta äter i grupp. Vi upplever att lunchsituationen har förändrats, både vad det gäller val av lunchmiljö och vad man äter. Vi tycker att det är intressant att ta reda på vad som händer i denna situation. Syfte: Med denna studie vill vi analysera och diskutera hur normer styr vårt lunchätande.

This study was about how pupils described their school situation with special education. The specific focus was on pupils which are described as ?troubled pupils?, unconcentrated pupils?, pupils in social and emotional difficulties or characterised by similar concepts. The study was based on a sociocultural perspective and an interactional perspective. The empirical material consisted of interviews with eight pupils in age between 9 to 12 years old and who had special education.

Denna studie har som syfte att skildra och förklara hur reproduktionen av kön relaterar till skapandet av rockmusik hos ett band där tre av musikerna är kvinnor och en musiker är man. Detta för att få en ökad förståelse för hur föreställningen om kön påverkar musikskapandet inom rockgenren. Det empiriska källmaterialet samlades in genom en fältstudie där bandet följdes på repetitioner och konserter. Materialet analyseras genom West och Zimmermans teorier kring reproduktionen av genus. Studiens resultat jämförs också med tidigare forskning inom musikvetenskap och etnologi för att sätta in dem i en större kontext.
