AbstractTheoryWhich education model has the ultimate learning potential? According to Olga Dysthe a varied education predominated by a dialogical nature is the best way of teaching.PurposeMy main purpose in this essay has been to investigate three different ways of education models and decide, on the basis of Dysthes? model, whether they can be classified as a monological or a dialogical model.I have also investigated if the thesis of Dysthes, ?The teachers view of knowledge determines the choice of teaching method?, is anchored in the reality.Furthermore, I have surveyed how the teachers educate concerning democracy. For example, on the basis of certain rules, are all sudents able to make the selves heard in a classroom that is characterized as dialogical? In such a classroom the teacher works whith activities to involve everyone and according to Dysthe, democracy is an attitude rather than a political system. Democracy is necessary in a classroom that is classified as dialogical.ResultThe essay is exclusively qualitative and builds upon interviews with three teachers on different upper secondary social schools witin the Gothenburg area.My results indicate that the teathers way of educating totaly differs from each others and that the thesis of Dysthe can be applied on only two out of three cases.

The thoughts of a common school for all children have been around since the 1800?s but was something that was introduced in Sweden first in 1962. When the curriculum for primary school came in 1980 there was a new concept, a school for all. With a school for all it was aimed that all children should have the right to participation and a common education no matter what needs they could have.During my education I have come across the concept a school for all and that is something that interested me. Today?s curricula and school laws aim to ensure that all children have the right to equal education and inclusion whatever needs you have.The purpose of this study is to find out some pedagogues? thoughts and work around the concept a school for all.

Trots omfattande forskning om ledarskap saknar vi fortfarande viktig kunskap om hur ledare kan förbättra sin effektivitet. Denna studie utvärderar om ett coachprogram, vars innehåll är baserat på beteendeanalytiska principer, kan användas för att förbättra en chefs effektivitet. Designen är en fallstudie där data för beteende- och resultatmått samlades in vecko- och månadsvis under en baslinjeperiod samt en interventionsperiod. En chef för en säljavdelning i ett svenskt företag deltog i studien, och mottog coaching i en kombination av självstudier, hemuppgifter, och möten. En tydlig höjning av viktiga målbeteenden för gruppen, genomförda kundmöten, kunde observeras efter interventionen.

Klassrumsklimatet har betydelse för bland annat elevernas lärande och trivsel. Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka hur lärare tänker och arbetar kring klassrumsklimat. I litteraturdelen tar jag upp ett par olika faktorer som jag funnit påverkar och har betydelse för klassrumsklimatets utveckling. Dessa är gruppen och lärarens ledarskap. Vidare beskrivs vad som kan känneteckna ett bra klassrumsklimat och hur lärare tänker och arbetar för att skapa detta.

Uppsatsen beskriver sex lärares arbete med konflikter och konflikthantering. Den visar att de arbetar mycket aktivt med konflikthantering och att de lägger stor vikt vid det förebyggande arbetet. Den verbala kommunikationen får mycket stort utrymme i deras arbete. Flera av lärarna tar under intervjuerna upp den inre konflikt som ofta uppstår då de tvingas välja mellan undervisning och konflikthantering. Resultaten pekar mot att de erfarna lärarna är mer grupporienterade och de nyutbildade mer uppgiftsorienterade i det här avseendet.

Vi studerar controllers dagliga arbete inom FoU-enheten på ett stort svenskt företag. Därtill jämförs det dagliga arbetet i praktiken med controllerns egen samt chefens åsikter om vad tid bör läggas på, samt med den bild av den moderna controllerrollen som presenteras i litteraturen. För att åstadkomma denna jämförelse har intervjuer utförts med tio controllers och enkätsvar har erhållits från fem avdelningschefer. De avdelningar som har studerats är de största konstruerande avdelningarna på Scanias FoU enhet lokaliserad i Södertälje. Studien visar att viss tidsbrist förekommer och att controllers lägger en betydande del av sin arbetstid på rutinartade uppgifter.

What affects Hiv in South Africa's different provinces? This thesis examines if education, unemployment rate, GDP per capita, and the literacy rate has any relationship with the Hiv prevalence. This is analyzed using theory and data in the form of a simple microeconomic model and an econometric regression analysis based on cross sectional data of the provinces of South Africa. The regression analysis shows that unemployment rate and education have significant effects of the Hiv prevalence in South Africa. The microeconomic model in the thesis indicates that when education is higher, individuals are more aware that the probability of being infected by Hiv is higher when the Hiv prevalence is high.

För att kunna besvara studiens syfte genomfördes fyra kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer på fyra respondenter som hade en ledande position i en verksamhet inom hotellbranschen. Under intervjuerna användes en intervjuguide som bestod av olika teman som behandlade hotellkoncept samt effektivt ledarskap.

AbstractAimThe aim is that by using the curriculumcodes, analyze and compare four curriculums in physical education. The study begins in the elementary school introduction in 1962, and then makes three more strikes in 1980, 1994 and 2011.The questions that are addressed in this paper are,Which expression of competence code can be found in the different curricular?What are the expressions for performance code can be found in the different curricula?Is there any change regarding which code teachers use when they assess the students?Method  As a basis, the four curricula Lgr 62 Lgr 80, Lpo 94 and Lgr 11 in physical education are used. These four curriculums are studied and compared for similarities and changes in the assessment uses comparative content analysis. A number of publications in the curriculum codes are used in the analysis of the curriculum.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate students' perception of their grades in relation to the grading criteria in physical education. To investigate this used issues: how values and experience rating criteria? How do students their teachers' planning of lessons? How do students grading assessment in physical education and what they believe is important? The method used was a questionnaire with closed questions. The answers were given on a six-point scale, ranging from 1 = "not true" to 6 = "totally agree". In a qualitative analysis of the quantitative material.

The purpose of this report was to investigate how the Umeå School of Business and Economics at Umeå university can work to increase the share of courses and programmes that discuss sustainable development. Furthermore the purpose was to develop an action plan that can be used to increase that share. Methods used were a questionnaire directed towards the educators at the Umeå School of Business and Economics and an assessment of the content of courses and programmes connected to the Umeå School of Business and Economics. There was no clear structured way of working with education for sustainable development, but at the same time there was a will to integrate sustainable development in the education. Curricula were according to the educators an important tool to achieve this integration, their experience were that there are not enough time, people and money to work with sustainable development in the education and they would like to see more clear directions from the management.

The Swedish school law says that students who need special education should have all the support they need to reach the qualification that is set up. The arrangements have to be written down in an Individual education plan (IEP). Before the IEP is set up there has to be an investigation about what kind of support and measures the student needs to reach the qualification that is set up. The aim of this study is to examine student?s participation in school and in the progress with their own IEP.I have accomplished a qualitative study by interviewing eight students during the letter part in the nine-year school.

This paper investigates how students in the humanities in four universities in Sweden reflect on their education and the current view on the humanities as an education and a science. I want to investigate what impact the past few years public debate about the humanities have had on the students. What kind of beliefs and identities do the students of the humanities form and how do they discuss the universities, the choices they made in life and how do they feel about the future.This study is based on interviews with seventeen students in Sweden from four different universities. The research is also based upon a report that The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) published in 2011 and the debate following that report. I have also made participant observations on the four universities to make a broader description for the reader.
