The aim of this paper is to spread some light over contract treatment from the perspective of the District Courts, Social Services and Probation Services, and understand the reason for local variation of the number of people sentenced to contractual treatment.Essential questions asked in this paper are; What advantages and disadvantages are known by the cooperating parties regarding contract treatment in comparison to prison? What parameters are considered when the cooperating parties decide upon contract treatment? What impact does the shared responsibility of cost have? What do the respondents think is the reason for the local variation?In order to answer the essential questions a qualitative and descriptive method has been used to highlight the main question of our study; What is the reason for the local variation in number of contract treatment sentences in Halmstad and Ystads district courts?The paper shows that the local variation between the Probation Services districts is dependent on the conditions to propose a contract treatment. In Halmstad it is not conditioned for the Probation Services to have a responsibility agreement with the Social Services to the same extent as for the Probation Services in Ystad..

The aim of this study was to increase our understanding of how secondary schools handle the different forms of bullying in different arenas. The questions we were asking us was how schools work to prevent and treat against bullying based on plans of action, how the schools are responsible in the bullying issues and how the schools and welfare officers have taken account of sex linkage in bullying issues. Our study is based on the result from seven qualitative semi- structured interviews with secondary school welfare officers in Sweden.  The study results show that traditional form of bullying takes place through verbal assault, physical violence, ostracism and glances. Welfare officers coincide that there are gender differences in the approach of bullying.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vilka effekter reglerna inom tillväxt- och stabilitetspakten skulle ha haft på BNP. Uppsatsen ger även kort historik och en genomgång av lagstiftningen som omgärdar stabilitetspakten. Den regel som undersöks är 3 %-regeln som säger att medlemsländerna inom EMU inte får ha ett budgetunderskott på mer än 3 procent. Uppsatsen utgår från en reducerad AS/AD modell där finanspolitik är en av variablerna som orsakar skift i aggregerad efterfrågan. Den metod som används är en så kallad VAR-modell där två regressioner skattas, en för BNP-gapet och en för årliga inflationsförändringen.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker den dubbla roll som fossila bränslen spelar i ekonomin. Fossil energi är en viktig del av produktionen och påverkar därmed inkomstnivåerna i positiv riktning. Samtidigt ger den upphov till koldioxidutsläpp som kan påverka klimatet och ge upphov till extrema väderfenomen, stigande havsnivåer, ökad migration och konflikt, vilka så småningom kan orsaka stora externa kostnader. Hur påverkas ekonomin av koldioxidutsläppande fossila bränslen, beroende på om externa miljökostnader inkluderas eller exkluderas ur analysen?För att besvara denna, utvecklas Solowmodellen med naturresurser så att de fossila bränslenas externa kostnader synliggörs i ökande deprecieringstakter.

Konkurrensen om kompetent personal ökar och flertalet faktorer används därför för attattrahera och rekrytera kvalificerad arbetskraft. Företag lägger idag stort fokus på corporatesocial recponsibility (CSR) och studier har visat att CSR spelar stor roll för potentiellamedarbetare i sökandet efter arbetsgivare. Syftet med denna uppsats är således att undersöka,beskriva och analysera huruvida studenter på avancerad nivå vid ett svenskt universitet,värderar CSR som en attraktiv faktor hos en framtida arbetsgivare. Problem formulation: The awareness and importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is growing within both corporations and society at large. The corporate progress in sustainable development can be both profitable and essential for the potential to compete globally. The value of sustainability reporting may differ between industries and companies of different sizes. The demands for sustainability reports are expected to increase. By 2010, no previous survey on sustainability reporting practices had been conducted within Swedish corporations. Purpose: The aim of the current study was to examine sustainability reports within Swedish corporations during 2010 and to compare the findings with preceding surveys to determine differences over time and between corporations.

This essay revolves around partnerships established between local authorities and civil society to promote integration in segregated urban areas. The main focus is on who is active in formulating the local integration policy in these partnerships. The analysis is based on qualitative interviews with representatives from the local public administration and from different parts of civil society in Rosengård and Södra innerstaden in Malmö. The conclusion is that local authorities to a large extent decide the content of integration policy. The authorities, in having the major responsibility of the integration projects, decide what parts of civil society to involve and what projects will promote integration.

Individens hälsa har stor betydelse för hennes välmående och livskvalitet. Hälsa definieras utifrån fysiska, psykiska och sociala faktorer. Idag vet vi att individens hälsa påverkas av ett flertal faktorer som ligger utanför hälso- och sjukvårdens nuvarande ramar. En av de faktorer som anses påverka individens hälsa sammanfattas inom begreppet socialt kapital. Socialt kapital är ett resultat av att individer, grupper och organisationer investerat i resurser vilka bidragit till att utveckla goda sociala relationer.

Historiskt sett har oftast den avkastning som en kapitalförvaltare genererat varit av intresse. Risken som förknippats med den aktuella investeringen har ofta kommit i skymundan. I början på 1990-talet inträffade ett antal olika finansiella kriser och detta medförde att riskmedvetenheten ökade. Nu var inte enbart den erhållna avkastningen intressant. Även den risk som förknippades med investeringen var av stor vikt.

Föreliggande uppsats studerar sambandet mellan ekonomisk tillväxt och koldioxidutsläpp med global uppvärmning som följd. Med hjälp av en utveckling av ?den gröna Solow-modellen? görs en simulering av Sveriges BNP-utveckling från 2005 till 2050 där en variabel för mängden koldioxid förs in. Syftet är att visa på hur koldioxidutsläpp påverkar tillväxten negativt genom att deprecieringen av realkapitalet ökar. Deprecieringen ökar på grund av ökad förslitning som naturkatastrofer, översvämningar och jorderosion medför.

Abstract Co-operation difficulties in the work place can be a problem serious enough. Co-operation difficulties can occur between employee and employer, as well as employees among themselves. Irrespective of between which individuals the co-operation difficulties occur, it will have negative consequences. These can consist of, for example that individuals might suffer mentally, inproductivity and also an unwished economic disadvantage for the employer. From the employers? side it is pointed out that it is important with employees who are possible to co-operate with in a satisfactory way.

A new curriculum, Lgr11, was introduced in Sweden during the Autumn Semester 2011. My aim in this paper is to investigate whether an integrated and interdisciplinary approach is possible within this new Swedish curriculum.Firstly, I will describe the approach to integration and interdisciplinary work used in the new Swedish curriculum. Secondly, I will analyze whether the curriculum allows for an integrated and interdisciplinary work.The method used in this paper is a qualitative textual analysis and analyzing the new curriculum´s approach to integration and interdisciplinary education has been the focus. The analysis has been based on the explicit and implicit basics of integration and interdisciplinary work in the curriculum.I assume theories of subject integration and curricula to come up with my results in the paper.To conclude, the results of my analysis of the curriculum show that an integrated and interdisciplinary approach is not only possible, but it is also each school Principal's responsibility as well as part of each teacher`s objective. The Principal's responsibility is to ensure that the integration and interdisciplinary approach is undertaken in school. The curriculum is clear that teachers should let their students work interdisciplinary as well as vary their methods of teaching.

The proportion of women entrepreneurs in Sweden is, as in many countries, smaller than the proportion of men entrepreneurs. Sweden has therefore created political measures with the ambition to increase women entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about the determinants of women entrepreneurship is needed in order to enable the promotion of it and, at the same time one can question the treatment of women entrepreneurs as a homogenous group. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of women entrepreneurship and whether these determinants fluctuate regionally. If this proves to be the case, a more spatial/individual approach should be used, when creating measures to promote entrepreneurship.
