The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of market-led culture, focusing on literature, within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards cooperation between culture and business by comparing the attitudes and ideas expressed in the governmental policy documents from the 1970s with the governmental policy documents from the 1990s. To illuminate, and with an effort to explain, these attitudes and ideas expressed in the documents their political and social context has been studied as well. The theoretical starting point is two political ideologies, and Danish cultural policy researcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. The methodological starting point is two variants of analyses that are textual ones.

In this paper I argue that the development of innovation ideas within the financial system of scientific research might have a counterpart within the financial system of the social sciences and the arts. The ideas of innovation share a common way to evaluate science in terms of how well it can contribute to economic growth. In the past two decades a similar development can be observed within Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ), one of the largest external financiers of the social sciences and the arts in Sweden. The idea of evaluating research used by the innovation ideas has grown popular within RJ, only it seems they evaluate research in terms of how well it fits into an international research community rather than how much it can contribute to economic growth as is the case within the innovation ideas. By examining the different ways of financing research that RJ has used during the last 2 decades, this paper aims to introduce a new perspective in which it is possible to understand the development within this type research funding as a part of a bigger system of development..

I detta arbete behandlas det osäkrade ränteparitetssambandet. Resultaten från ränteparitetssambandet kan kategoriseras i två olika typer av resultat beroende på periodlängden. För perioderna med längre löptid kan man inte bevisa att sambandet håller helt och hållet men man kan vissa på att sambandet har en tydlig signifikans och påverkan på växelkursen. För de kortare tidsperioderna presterar räntesambandet betydligt sämre. Förutom att sambandet inte håller så visar valutakurserna på rörelser som är åt motsatt riktning än vad räntesambandet förutsäger.

I denna uppsats har vi med samhällsekonomisk analys studerat följderna av ett införande av nolltaxa inom kollektivtrafiken. I kommunen Kristinehamn erbjöds gratis busstrafik under år 1997-2001, och med utgångspunkt från detta projekt har vi undersökt de samhällsekonomiska effekterna. Målet med införandet var att sänka kostnaderna för färdtjänst- och skolskjutsverksamhet samt att minska de negativa externa effekterna av biltrafiken. Till följd av den högre uppfångningsgraden av resenärer uppnåddes lönsamhet i stadstrafiken, men ej i landsortstrafiken. Konsekvenser av skattefinansiering, såsom snedfördelning och dödviktskostnader, implicerar dock att ett ekonomisk-politiskt ställningstagande för eller emot statliga ingripanden, måste tas vid utvärderingen av projektet.

Vattkoppor räknas till en av våra klassiska barnsjukdomar. Sjukdomen är i sig relativt ofarlig, men leder till stora produktionsförluster för samhället då individer tvingas vara hemma från arbetet på grund av vård av barn eller sjukskrivning. I flera länder, såsom USA och Tyskland, har man undkommit problemet med stora produktionsförluster genom att införa allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor. Denna vaccination har då bara lagts till det redan existerande barnvaccinationsprogrammet i landet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att, utifrån en cost-benefit analys, undersöka vilka ekonomiska effekter införandet av allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor skulle leda till i Sverige.

This essay aims to explore the development of the common foreign and security policy within the European Union as well as the recent addition of the post of High representative in the field of the common foreign and security policy. This essay will attempt to achieve this trough exploring the questions; how have the aim of the European foreign policy developed, how the forms of cooperation has within this field developed and finally what impact will the recent addition of a high representative for the common foreign and security have. My aim is to answer these questions with the help of neo-functionalism.The results that came out of this essay point to the direction that the neo- functionalist premise about spill over effects and the notion about increased supranational influence turn out to have some validity in them. The study has shown that during the time the cooperation within the field of foreign and security policy have developed it is possible to see that supranational institutions will gain influence when the scope of integration within a policy area widens and deepens..

Generiskt utbyte infördes i Sverige 2002 och innebär att läkemedel på recept automatiskt byts ut mot billigaste likvärdiga alternativ på apoteken. I uppsatsen analyseras reformens effekter på kostnad och konkurrens efter patentutgång och vad dessa kan ha inneburit för effektiviteten på den svenska läkemedelsmarknaden. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av 15 storsäljande läkemedel som tappat patent under perioden 2000-2004, varav 4 före och 11 efter reformen. Resultatet av analysen tyder på att den generiska konkurrensen har ökat avsevärt och att kostnaderna för de läkemedel som tappade patent efter reformen är betydligt lägre. Samtidigt har prisskillnader mellan generika och originalpreparat ökat, vilket bidragit till att begränsa förlusten i intäkter för originaltillverkare.

The aim is to examine how integration and immigrants are constructed within the discourse. The method and theory being used in this essay is discourse theory. As a methodological instrument we use the policy on functional impairment as a comparison. Syfte:Syftet med studien är att se om ett samband förekommer mellan Moody?s ranking och beräkningar utförda med en modifierad modell av Merton för ett visst antal europeiska företag. Syftet är vidare att dra slutsatser och tolkningar vad gäller tillförlitligheten och relevansen kring att använda den modifierade Merton modellen som ett kreditmått. Metod:Tillvägagångssättet för att erhålla resultatet för studien går ut på att för sju olika europeiska länder välja sju företag för respektive land. Utifrån de valda företagen har historisk data insamlats i form av aktiekurs och skulddata vilka är utgångspunkten för de beräkningar som utförs med en modifierad Merton modell.

Avvecklingen av kärnkraften är en central anledning till att utbudet måste förändras och forskning på nya produktionssätt och effektivisering av befintliga pågår ständigt. Jag utreder också den tillgängliga produktionskapaciteten och de problem som kan uppkomma i och med överföringen av el där effektiviteten kan ökas. Då prissättningen är en direkt effekt av hur utbudet på marknaden ser ut har jag valt att via mikroekonomiska modeller gå igenom denna process.
