Uppsatsen granskar systemet för utjämning mellan kommunerna ur political economy- och tillväxtperspektiv. Political economy-analysen undersöker i vilken utsträckning systemets utformning möjliggör politiskt motiverad taktisk omfördelning. Av denna analys framgår att det rådande statsbidrags- och utjämningssystemet ger ett mycket begränsat utrymme för diskretionära bidrag. Den övergripande slutsatsen av political economy-analysen är att det finns en påtaglig kontrast mellan ansatserna i de akademiska studierna och de offentliga utredningarna. Analysen ur tillväxtperspektiv granskar vilka effekter långtgående kommunutjämning kan tänkas ha på arbetskraftsrörligheten, samt vilka konsekvenser detta kan tänkas ha för den långsiktiga ekonomiska tillväxten.

Tekniska verken i Linköping AB (Tekniska verken) is responsible for the district heating network in Linköping. Their vision is to create the world?s most resource efficient region. An important step towards this vision is more efficient usage of produced heat, something which could be achieved through integration of a seasonal heat storage in the energy system.

Uppsatsen undersöker alkoholens pris- och inkomstelasticiteter i Sverige, för att på så vis undersöka om det svenska alkoholmonopolet genom Systembolaget ger den eftersökta effekt på alkoholkonsumtionen i landet, dvs konsumtionsminskning genom prisreglering. För att renodla elasticiteterna så mycket som möjligt studeras i första hand Jämtlands, Västerbottens och Västernorrlands län, detta då Systembolagets ställning på marknaden är som starkast där då inga andra förskaffningsmöjligheter som t ex egenimport eller köp av smuggelsprit existerar i någon större utsträckning i de länen. De resultaten kompareras sedan med en nationell skattning för att se hur det ter sig på nationell nivå. Resultaten visade att det föreligger en negativ priselasticitet på alkohol på den regionala analysnivån såväl som på den nationella. Elasticiteterna på nationell nivå är dock avsevärt starkare.

Context: During the 21st century several alarming reports have been published that deals with the depletion and pollutant of the earth by human interference. The earth is an ending resource and so are the mountains and bedrocks which are continuously mined in order to harvest its minerals. The idea behind Urban Mining is to (re)invent processes enabling further purpose for materials both from old deposits and new products providing secondary raw materials and energy. This thesis aims to investigate the challenges and opportunities of how firms and organizations can and will be able to strike a better balance between product-/service systems, economic growth and environmental stewardship in the context of Urban Mining as an approach. With the innovation of processes, technology, business- planning and creation in focus.Objective: How to future proof a business model for Urban Mining by the usage of business model design.Method: This thesis will be conducted using a case study approach, meaning that it will incorporate qualitative, exploratory and descriptive characteristics - aiming towards enabling both applied and fundamental research.Results: The result evaluates the business model element differences between traditional C&D industry and Urban Mining industry.

This bachelors thesis was made forWallenius Water AB to develop a basisfor an Airpurifier prototype. Wallenius Water isone of the world's leading environmentaltechnology companies engaged inchemical-free water treatment based onUV-radiation. The thesis aim was toproduce a basis for a prototype that canbe used in three applications:Standalone, RAS systems and ventilationsystems. The work includes anintroductory description of the theorybehind AOP technology based on aliterature review on the subject. Asurvey of products currently on themarket and a product specification hasbeen used as the basis for thepreparation of a number of concepts inthis report.

I did my degree project together with Universeum AB. The project had the work title: children?s world and the aim were to give children between 3-8 years old a place that was especially made for them. With their interests and needs in mind the area should trigger play but also learning through a well planned pedagogical environment.I did this project because I thought this was an excellent opportunity to really practise my new gained skills I had learned during my two years in CCD (Child Culture Design). It also gave me the opportunity to actually see how well my knowledge was working when it was put to the test, and I did learn a lot from this.Together with a crew of 6 people I developed and designed the area.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the democratization process in Kurdistan on the basis of consolidation democracy with focus on arenas defined by Linz and Stepan (1997), namely economic, political, legal, civil society and arenas of state bureaucracy. Furthermore, I intend to explain Kurdistan?s road toward democratization in Kurdistan from 1991 until today, with a focus on the years 2003-2012. The main results are that Kurdistan has developed conditions that support a future consolidation of democracy. However, there are weaknesses in the economic situation, rule of law and the arena of bureaucracy.

The thesis aims to be an informative study for landscape architects and hopes to contributeto an understanding of ways water can be used and managed at sites lacking open, greensurfaces.The title "intelligent water design" should evoke the reader?s thoughts concerning intelligentaspects of water. Text, images and the design proposition give hints about these aspects.In the first part of this thesis, various examples of water design are presented. The chosenexamples are all applicable in urban environments with a high percentage of impervioussurfaces.The second part examines Gjutarplan, an urban square in the centre of Kallhäll, in Järfälla,north of Stockholm. Gjutarplan is first framed in a geographical and historical context.

Varje dag interagerar samhället med nya produkter och system som måste varaanvändbara och därför är användbarhet är ett viktigt begrepp i detta sammanhang. Föratt enklare integrera användbarhet i utvecklingsprocesserna för dessa produkter ochsystem, används ISO-standarden för användarcentrerad design.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka huruvida Monitor ERP System AB bedrevanvändarcentrerad design i utvecklingsprocessen av deras mobila applikation - MonitorMobile. Som hjälp i denna utredning används ISO-standarden för användbarhet ochanvändarcentrerad design. För att besvara problemformuleringen, har jag genomfört enretrospektiv studie och intervjuer med beställare och utvecklare. För att sluta sammanutredningen har jag också skickat ut en enkät till användarna.Resultatet visar att Monitor är villig att arbeta nära användarna, men de introducerardem inte i processen.

Finansiella index är viktade genomsnitt av olika tillgångars avkastning från en bestämd tidpunkt. Traditionella index är börsvärdeviktade. Problemet med denna typ av index är att börsvärdet tidvis kraftigt kan överdrivas på grund av spekulation. Alternativa index bygger på företags fundamentalvärden. De viktas därmed efter företags faktiska redovisade siffror i balans- och resultaträkningar.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka sambandet mellan befolkningsrelaterade variabler och ekonomins utveckling i Sverige mellan år 1850 och år 2000. Påverkas den ekonomiska tillväxten av en ändring i befolkningens storlek och har den aggregerade ekono-min i sin tur inverkan på nativiteten? Med bakgrund av tre väl accepterade ekonomiska teorier kommer fyra egna modeller att ställas upp och skattas för att ekonometriskt fastställa hur signifikanta de inkluderade variablerna är. De tre eko-nomiska teorierna har tillämpats på svensk data för att ge ytterligare bakgrund och tyngd åt de eget uppställda modellerna. Stor vikt har lagts vid att korrigera de tidsserier som används för autokorrelation och ickestationäritet.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker hur deltagandet i personalutbildning är fördelat över olika grupper av sysselsatta på den svenska arbetsmarknaden. Också mängden utbildningstid för olika arbetstagare undersöks. Syftet är att testa i vilken utsträckning humankapitalteorins prediktioner om vilka som i första hand får personalutbildning stämmer överens med den faktiska situationen på svenska arbetsplatser. Som komplement till humankapitalteorin används en teori med ofullständig konkurrens samt tidigare studier om personalutbildning. För att testa humankapitalteorins antaganden om personalutbildning används aggregerad data från Statistiska Centralbyrån för olika år.

The data acquisition system COMET developed by Saab AB contains a unit for signal conditioning and A/D conversion, called KSM. The varieties in signal conditioning constitutes of a number of specific PBAs and maintenance as well as reconfiguration of these are complicated not to mention costly. This thesis has aimed to investigating whether the signal conditioning circuits can be replaced by a general purpose, programmable solution. If so, how can this be done? The development has been carried out by evaluating ideas through the use of a laboratory environment and has resulted in an analog design for laboratory purpose.

Denna rapport omfattar ett examensarbete på 22,5 poäng. Examensarbetet har utförts inom ämnet integrerad produktutveckling vid Högskolan i Skövde tillsammans med Jai Designpartner AB. Målet med arbetet var att utveckla ett fällbord som enkelt kan fällas ihop, ha en längre livslängd och lägre vikt än företagets tidigare fällbord. Samarbetet genererade ett fällbord som inte följer de generella principerna av infällning av bordsben. Resultatet blev ett fällbord med minimal klämrisk, med en längre livslängd då infällning av bordsbenet sker med en vridning och med en mindre vikt då ramverk kan elimineras..
