The aim of this thesis is to accomplish a user study on how e-book users experience the electronic book, the e-book, as an instrument for reading fiction. The study is based upon qualitative interviews with twelve e-book users and a small survey carried out at the Stockholm City Library. The purpose is to identify the users' incentive for choosing the e-book as a medium for reading fiction, elucidate if and how the interface of the e-book affects the reading experience, and distinguish if there are any factors common to the users in their choice of reading e-books. How the users look upon the future of the e-book is also discussed. Among the people asked in the survey we note little if any demand for the e-book as an instrument for reading fiction.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka medvetenhet om uppnåendemål i idrott och hälsa enligt den nationella kursplanen i Lpo94. Vid instiftandet av Lpo94 infördes mål- och kunskapsrelaterad styrning och läroplanen har alltså haft sjutton år att implementeras. Idrott och hälsa är det enda ämnet där pojkar i större utsträckning når högre betyg än flickor. Undersökningen har genomförts med elever i årskurs 9 på sex olika skolor i Sverige. Vi har använt oss av två olika metodansatser, en kvantitativ del i form av enkäter och en kvalitativ del bestående av intervjuer.

A comparative study of students' beliefs about computer games, fiction reading and learning. This essay is part of a masters degree of pedagogy and investigates the experiences of 10 high-school students concerning playing computer-games-off-the-shelf (COTS) on the one hand, and reading fictional, printed novels on the other. The aim of this study was to learn more about the students' thoughts about playing COTS and reading novels; also, what differences and similarities there might be between these activities. Furthermore, I wanted to know what they thought they might learn from these activities. The theoretical point of departure for the study is twofold: Firstly, a theory of learning as expressed by Illeris (2007) and, secondly, a sociocultural perspective on learning, represented by Säljö (2000, 2005/2010) which includes the educational benifit of both playing COTS, represented by Gee (2007), and reading fiction, represented by Probst (1990) and Langer (1995). The method used in this study is mainly qualitative by nature.

Att designa och konstruera processer för en specifik verksamhet kan vara både en omfattande ochkomplex utmaning. Det är viktigt att den person eller grupp som skall designa och konstrueraprocessen är lyhörd för verksamhetens krav och önskemål, samtidigt som det är av största vikt att dekrav och önskemål som uttalas är rimliga och går att omsätta i en verklig kontext. I den här uppsatsenhar jag undersökt hur en kundhanteringsprocess kan se ut och konstrueras, hos ett logistikföretag, sombåde utgår från verksamhetens krav och önskemål samt med stöd av befintliga modeller och teorierinom det processteoretiska området. Genom empirisk datainsamling samt insamling av teoretisktmaterial inom ämnesområdet har en huvudprocess bestående av tre delprocesser samt detaljeradebeskrivningar av processens aktiviteter konstruerats som tillsammans med verksamheten slutligenutvärderats. Vilket framgår av utvärderingen och resultatet av undersökningen är att vald metodik förkonstruktion av process samt val av insamlat empiriskt och teoretiskt material har lett till enkundhanteringsprocess som dels uppfyller verksamhetens krav och önskemål och som stöds avbefintliga modeller och teorier inom det processteoretiska området..

Development and construction of an electronic Breakout box is the main work for this thesis. The box is a part of a test system for the component Fuel Flow Transmitter and should convert signals to be suitable for a frequency counter. A previously constructed Breakoutbox for this purpose is being old and needed to be recreated. So SAAB Aerotech, Aircraft services, the company for the thesis work wanted to construct a new, more sustainable Breakoutbox adapted to a more modern technology. The signals to the box comes from the transmitter and should be converted to suitable signals for a frequency counter so it can show pulse and time difference between the signals.

This report is on concrete work during the winter and is implemented on Peab?s behalf. The assignment was to describe the differences between a summer- and a winter casting. While it shows the complications that exists, it also show what aids are available, both electronic via computer and physical aids.The information that I have developed is originally from theory in books, information on the internet as well as practical experience from knowledgeable people that works in construction output. Other theories are those I have learned throughout the education to become a construction engineer, including all oral sources over the years.The results I have come up with, I hope will be able to help future construction projects in the planning phase of a winter casting.

A large number of system development projects are allowed to proceed for too long, and leads to undesirable project outcomes. Research shows that more than half of the authorities involved reported that at least one of their projects have exceeded their budget, and that a third of all the projects had exceeded the budget. This problem led to the following research question: ?Which factors can explain projects continued escalation within public authorities?? To answer the question, a qualitative case study of the Swedish police?s implementation of PUST, a sort of case management system was conducted. The project received considerable media attention and a large amount of criticism was directed towards the project, partly because the project exceeded the timeframe and budget set at the start.

Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att skapa en översikt över vad som kan ha betydelse för bärbara elektroniska teknikstöds användning som kompensatorisk åtgärd för vuxna personer med förvärvad hjärnskada. De 24 artiklar som ingick i studien analyserades med metoden innehållsanalys. Inklusionskriterier var artiklar utgivna efter år 2000 och vuxna försökspersoner. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: användningsområden för elektroniska teknikstöd, design och funktion hos de elektroniska teknikstöden, omgivningens betydelse för användande och individuella förutsättningar för användande av elektroniska teknikstöd. Endast en artikel var skriven utifrån ett arbetsterapeutiskt perspektiv.

Elektroniska affärer innebär att affärssystem kopplas upp mot varandra i nätverk för att effektivisera överföringen av information. I dag skickar företag standardiserade meddelanden direkt mellan administrativa system för t.ex. order, lager och fakturering (OLF). Detta kallas EDI, Electronic Data Interchange, och följer i de flesta fall en standard för elektroniska meddelanden som kallas EDIFACT. Användningen av EDIFACT kräver mycket kunskap vilket ofta småföretag saknar.

Bullying is a significant workplace problem, a fact highlighted both by companies, government and social science. The purpose of this master thesis was to examine if workplace bullying is a result of group processes. This is a theory-based master thesis. A search of literature on bullying, mobbing and harassment was done in a database called ELIN, Electronic Library Information Navigator, connected to Lund University and 414 articles were singled out. The summary of the articles were studied and according to a list of criteria, I choose to study some of the articles in more depth.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the flow of information in an administration of the municipality Borås Stad. To achieve the aim the following questions were asked: How accessible is information? How is information used in the organisation? How is information communicated? Totally sixteen qualitative interviews was accomplished with employees at the administration. The results of the interviews show that there is a difference in how much and what sort of information the respondents use. They all seem to prefer information to be communicated face to face if possible or over the phone.

Information handling has been a key issue for different companies for a long time. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is used to transfer different business documents from one company to another. This is done in such way that the information itself is separated from how this information is stored and handled in the companies internal systems. As different companies have different systems there is a need for a standardised format for this exchange. There is a big difference between EDI-systems based on what kind of EDI-standard is used. The most common standard in Europe is EDIFACT, but with increased interest of using the Internet for business communication there is a need for a standard that is adjusted for use over the Internet.

Mellan 2011 och 2013 driver Fairtrade Labeling Organizations International (FLO) och Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) International Center ett pilotprojekt tillsammans. Syftet är att ge småbrukare i utvecklingsländer tillgång till en västerländsk marknad som kan ge dem skäligt betalt för deras skogsråvara. Detta skulle möjliggöra för dem att ansvarsfullt bruka sina skogar samtidigt som den hjälper dem ur fattigdom. Följande arbete har som syfte att identifiera förutsättningar för hur FSC-Fairtrade certifierade träprodukter ska kunna börja säljas i den svenska byggvaruhandeln. Tidigare forskning har visat att många konsumenter tycker att det är viktigt med miljömärkningar och många uppger att de är beredda att betala extra för sådana. Det har även visats att miljömärkningar är en kvalitetsdimension på trävaror och att miljömärkningar även uppfattas innehålla både sociala och hälsomässiga aspekter.

Food is widely consumed and in 2011 an average American devoured approximately one ton of food. The production of these goods requires large amounts of energy and contributes to 22-31 % of all greenhouse gas emissions occurring in Europe. More than one third of the produced food is discarded instead of consumed, and food waste make up about 30 % of the waste generated by households. 60 % of this food waste could be avoided if the eatables were handled in a better way.Avoidable food waste arises partly because residues from food are not taken care of, and because the food is not stored in a way that optimise its durability. Residues arises part- ly because of the contradictory and complex demands of everyday life and are, because of our busy lifestyle, difficult to avoid.

This report describes the design and construction of a prototype that automatically aims a microwave link towards a target. The link, that is located on a mobile aerial mast, is used by Saab Training Systems as a part of an infrastructure network. The report also discusses the development of a GUI that communicates with the control unit by Bluetooth.The control unit, called Pan/Tilt-controller, controls the position of the link by stepping motors. One motor controls the azimuth angle and the other one controls the elevation angle.By a GUI the operator enters the coordinates on its own position and the targets position. Hereafter a bearing is calculated and it will be sent up to the control unit.The control unit will sense its own direction by a magnetic sensor that works as an electronic compass.
