This report is written on the assignment by Nexans IKO Sweden AB in Grimsås which is a cable manufacturing company. Nexans IKO Sweden AB was in need of help to examine possibilities for saving energy by saving compressed air, in first place by using the compressed air more efficient. The task was to determine the present situation, making the airwipe stations more efficient by reducing the consumption of the compressed air and in turn save money. Even the aspects of the working environment were discussed as the noise levels from the pneumatic systems and engines are usually high. A schedule over the airflow in the factory and the inventory over current airwipessituation was made.

Denna uppsats handlar om arbetssituationen för enhetschefer inom kommunal äldreomsorg, i en delad organisation. Delad organisation innebär att utredningar och prövningar av de äldres behov och beslut om bistånd särskiljs från ansvar för det faktiska utförandet av hjälpinsatserna. Ansvar för utredning och beslut har en biståndsbedömare och ansvaret för utförandet av insatserna har en enhetschef. Syftet är att undersöka hur samordningen mellan enhetschefen och biståndsbedömare i den delade organisationen gynnar och/eller motverkar utförandet av besluten och hur man organiserar denna samordning. Jag har valt att studera detta ur ett enhetschefsperspektiv.

The purpose of this thesis is to ascertain the main determinable factors of Swedish SMEs capital structure decisions and to investigate whether existing capital structure theories are applicable on Swedish SME financing. We have used panel data to run regressions of various capital structure determinants on three measures of capital structure; short- term debt, long-term debt and total debt. We found that growth opportunities, profitability and age are the most important capitalstructures determinants for our sample. Firm size shows a small explanatory result but the effective tax rate and the asset tangibility do not seem to explain the capital structure at all. Introduktion Till yrket är vi narkossjuksköterska och operationssjuksköterska. På det sjukhus vi arbetar är de flesta patienterna inneliggande på vårdavdelning i ca två till tre dagar i samband med att de skall få gallblåsan borttagen med laparoscopisk titthålsteknik. Det är väl känt att på andra sjukhus, i synnerhet utomlands, har man börjat operera patienterna dagkirurgiskt dvs. att patienterna kommer till operationsavdelningen på morgonen och åker hem på eftermiddagen eller kvällen. Syfte Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa patienters upplevelser av pre- och postoperativ omvårdnad när hon/han genomgår dagkirurgisk laparoscopisk cholecystectomi. Metod Det är en litteraturstudie baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar, publicerade mellan åren 2001- 2005. Artikelsökningen skedde i databaserna PubMed och CINAHL. Resultat Vid granskning av artiklarna framkom att merparten av patienternas upplevelser vid dagkirurgisk laparoscopisk cholecystectomi var smärta och illamående.

The task of the course is to design a small house at a given location and also implement adeepening study. The house in this report is located in Kiruna in the north of Sweden, where theclimate is much colder than in the rest of the country.The deepening study of this report is to evaluates how realistic passive housing north of thePolar Circle is based on those facts. Effects of fishery closure on perch was detected as female perch was on average 5 cm longer in closed areas compared to non-closed areas. This could be a result of larger individuals surviving as an effect of reduced fishing. No effect was detected on the reproduction rate of YOY (young of the year) perch.A zooplankton survey revealed less amounts of the most important plankton groups for YOY perch in areas with failed reproduction, though the difference was statistically insignificant.The distribution of YOY perch and YOY/adult stickleback differed completely in this study with no area where the two species are both present. It is sketchy to draw any conclusions from this data but it remains a field for further investigation.The reproduction problem is concentrated to the outer parts of the archipelago which confirms previous studies of the geographic extension..

The purpose with this study was to analyze the possibilities to produce organic lambs and to hihglight the most common difficulties in such a production system. A description of current organic and conventional lamb production systems was conducted, both from Sweden and from some other countries. The Department of Animal Environment and Health at SLU in Skara performed the project together with The County Board of Agriculture in Västra Götaland and Värmland and The Swedish Animal Health Service. The project lasted from 2002 to 2004. The student report contains the years 2002 and 2003. In the year of 2003 there were 210 000 adult sheep in Sweden, of which 16 400 adult sheep were certified by KRAV. Of the different countries in Sweden, Västra Götaland and Gotland had the largest number of sheep, 14 and 13 per cent of the total number.

This report is a thesis work for a B.Sc. in Forestry exam at the School for Forest Engineers, SLU. The work was an assignment from Södra Skogsägarna and the aim of the work was to investigate the economical and biological output after mechanical planting with Eco-Planter compared with traditional manual planting. Eco-Planter is a tool for mechanized planting, fixed at the end of the boom on a conventional harvester. The study confirms that manual planting is less expensive under normal conditions. However, the differences between mechanized and manual planting are not that big and with technical development and/or increased labor costs together with an improved work organization the system with Eco-Planter could be competitive. The biological output, e.g. planting result and survival rate, seems to be quite good.

Syftet med arbetet är att utveckla min förmåga att utföra jazzimprovisation på gitarr genom att undersöka och jämföra olika utvalda övningsmetoder: Att använda ackords-, led- och närmandetoner, att sjunga det man spelar samt hämta inspiration från andra jazzimprovisatörer. Jag kommer att undersöka var och en av dessa metoder individuellt för att slutligen jämföra och diskutera kring dem. I arbetets klingande delar improviserar jag över olika jazzstandards och utgår då ifrån de utforskade övningsmetoderna.Efter att ha undersökt de tre övningsmetoderna har jag kommit fram till att det är mycket lärorikt att angripa ett så pass stort ämne som jazzimprovisation från olika håll. Metoderna skiljer sig åt samtidigt som de kompletterar varandra väl. Om man lär sig kombinera dem på ett balanserat vis när man improviserar har man kommit en bra bit på vägen mot att bli en bra jazzimprovisatör..

The purpose of our essay is to study the institutional-, demographic and accounting theoretical factors that influence an organisations actuarial commitment.The research was performed through a web based survey, with complimentary telephone interviews, directed to companies listed on Stockholm Stock Exchange A- and O-list on the 30 of November, 2003.Our data was analysed with a Median test, Kolomogorov-Smirnov test, T-test and a Mann-Whitney test. The purpose of the Mann-Whitney test was the low number of respondents that took part in the research. The Kolomogorov-Smirnov test was done to determine whether the population variances was equal or not. The data showed that organisations with a majority of female employees assume a lower salary increase, and a higher average age than other companies with a male majority. Only 2 of 11 hypothesis can be accepted as temporary truths but several other visible relations are indicated in our research, but can not be statistically proved.We think that the major problem with our is the time it was performed.

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet substance that prevents blood coagulation in the arteries. It is an inactive pro drug that becomes activated after first-pass metabolism by the liver. The active metabolite of clopidogrel is 2-oxoclopidogrel, which is unstable therefore pharmacokinetic data is obtained by measuring the inactive metabolite clopidogrel acid in plasma. Clopidogrel is taken orally in tablet form. The aim of this project was to develop a LC-MS/MS method for quantification of clopidogrel and its metabolite in plasma. The method has been developed by optimizing the sample preparation.

Water is our most important provision and its quality is above all dependent on the geological conditions in the area from where it is extracted. Due to geological properties there are certain areas with an elevated risk of high uranium levels in the ground water, which in turn constitutes a risk for human health. Consumption of water that contains a high concentration of uranium implies a health risk due to the chemical characteristics of uranium. Livsmedelsverket (The National Food Administration) and Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare) therefore recommend that precautionary measures should be taken when the uranium concentration in ground water exceeds 15 micrograms per litre. In particular, drinking water collected from wells in areas with uranium-rich bedrock may have a harmfully high level of uranium. One of the wells of the Ärla water purification plant, located near Eskilstuna, Sweden, contains water that exceeds the guideline of 15 micrograms per litre. One interesting technique for removing uranium from drinking water is adsorption to reactive filter materials.

The purpose of this thesis is to present and analyze population developments within Umeå municipality during the period 1992 to 2012. The study also aims to discuss growth trends presented in previous papers to seek common factors and get a deeper understanding.Data for 1992, 2002 and 2012 on a sub area level supplied by Umeå municipality was used. The study shows a continued positive development across almost all sub areas, but a differing growth rate from centre to periphery, and also a diversified medium age among the inhabitants.While the city center continues to have the highest growth of population during the studied years, a recent trend seems to point to a growing popularity to settle in the outskirts of the municipality, primarily near the coast..
