We have made a suggestion for a map based search tool used with a database containinginformation on natural disasters. The database is being developed by NCO (SwedishCentre for Lessons Learned from Incidents & Accidents).We examined both Swedish and international examples of databases on naturaldisasters. The examples that we found were often hard to get the hang of, due to poorcompilation. The problem, that is typical of the international examples, is that the processof data collection is not standardized, as it is performed by different organizations andcompanies with diverse demands on and needs for the database. Therefore, to keep itsymmetrical, there ought to be only one department with the overall responsibility for anational database on natural disasters in Sweden.The natural disaster we based our study on was the flooding in Arvika in the year 2000.We inspected the availability of data about the flooding, and found it to be satisfying.Through contact with the municipality of Arvika, by mail and telephone, and a visit at theArvika municipality office, we acquired reports on the flooding and the joint rescueoperation that followed, and also GIS layers showing the extension of the flooding..

This graduation paper treats e-mobbing via the different communication medias of the mobile phone. The purpose of the research has been to describe student?s experience of e-mobbing via the mobile phone?s different integrated functions as phone calls, sms, mms and E-mail.In this poll investigation asked 100 students of 15-20 years of age.The interviews made have shown that girls are more exposed to e-mobbing, e.g. indirect mobbing. In my research it is possible to see that girls are more exposed than boys to threats of violence via sms, the spreading of rumours and the danger of being called different things.It is also possible to see in the result of the interviews that the mobber wants to experience power, something which is not unusual in all types of mobbing.

Rapportens huvudsyfte är att visa hur våldsutsatta kvinnor uppfattar polisens bemötande och även hur de önskat att de blivit bemötta. Vi har valt detta ämne för att få en liten bild av hur våldsutsatta kvinnor ser på bemötandet av polisen och också därigenom få svar på hur polisen borde bemöta dem. Vi kom i kontakt med tre anonyma kvinnor (bl.a. genom Faluns kvinnojour) som antingen svarade på våra frågor via mail eller telefon. Svaren vi fått av dessa kvinnor ger en väldigt dyster bild då ingen av dem är nöjd med polisens bemötande.

In the proposition Nya förmånsrättsregler, 2002/03:49, the government suggests a new bill of beneficial rights, or FRL. The proposition has several changes, mostly for The Banking system. One of the changes is that the banks´ individual beneficial rights shall be replaced by a general beneficial right, where the beneficial value never exceeds 55 percent of the value of insurance bonds. Previously, the beneficial value was 100 percent.The purpose of this essay is to evaluate the relationship between the banks´ activities, and the new bill of beneficial rights, especially what the effects will become for the public companies within the printing houses, with 1 - 49 employees in the Skåne Region.The survey includes a total of 142 companies and it was distributed via E-mail. The conclusions from the study are that there are tendencies of increased difficulties for companies to get their credits granted by the banks.

Detta arbete handlar om hur teorier om offentlig gestaltning av bostadsgårdar, miljöpsykologi och corporate garden kan hjälpa till med verktyg för gestaltningen av en trädgård med flera funktioner; näringsverksamhet i form av Hotell- och Restaurangrörelse samt privat boende.Litteraturstudier genomfördes i ovan nämnda områden och ägarnas önskemål samlades in via enkät, mail korrespondens och samtal vid besök på platsen. Då noterades även platsens förutsättningar och de delar av tomten som skulle gestaltas mättes upp.Den samlade informationen har sedan resulterat i ett designförslag som omfattar fem platser i trädgården. Dessa platser representerar områden som betecknas som privata, halvprivata, halvoffentliga samt en del som representerar en corporate garden..

Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.

Syftet med undersökningen är även att se hur trenderna i Sverige stämmer överens med trenderna i övriga delar av världen och då främst i USA vad gäller sponsring. Metod: En survey-undersökning med de 126 största företagen i Sverige har gjorts.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how five public libraries reason about the use of social media in their day-to-day work. This thesis aim to answer three research questions: What is the libraries use of social media today? How do libraries look upon their own use of social media? And have the libraries formulated any goals about their use of social media, and what are their thoughts on this? The methodology used in this thesis is a content analysis of the libraries social media and a questionnaire interview which was sent by mail to all of the libraries involved. The theoretical framework for the thesis is a model developed by Jochumsen, Hvenegaard Rasmussen and Skot-Hansen.The results of our study shows that the room of meetings, from the theoretical framework, are the most represented in the content of the social media used by the libraries. The libraries find that social media is a good way to connect and communicate with their users, but they feel that the time they spend on their social media is not enough.Our study also shows that most of the libraries have not formulated any goals for their use of social media, and that they do not have any intentions to do so..

Denna rapport består av information och data som har samlats in i syfte att kunna presentera en genomförbar konvertering av linfärjan Toras framdrivningssystem, som idag utgörs av dieselelektrisk drift, till bränslecellsdrift. Den bränslecell som behandlas i rapporten är PEMFC och är en bränslecellstyp som drivs av ren vätgas. Resultaten tjänar som en informationskälla för en potentiell konvertering och presenteras för Trafikverket, som ett alternativ i linje med Sveriges regerings mål att reducera mängden CO2 utsläpp på en nationell nivå. Informationen i rapporten har insamlats via mail- och telefonkontakt samt ett besök på Tora på plats i Stockholm. Ett genomförande av konverteringen är fullt möjligt men mer kostsamt än dieseldrift i dagsläget med avseende på höga bränsle- och inköpskostnader utav bränsleceller.

Enligt Norstedts Svenska ordbok (2001:672) är lättja en obenägenhet hos människor att utföra arbete. Obenägenhet till arbete är när man som arbetstagare kan arbeta men inte vill. Lättja är ett relativt outforskat fenomen på arbetsmarknaden och ett svårt begrepp att definiera. Arbetstagare som ägnar sig åt lättja är något som vi insett förekommer i de flesta organisationer. Lättja hos arbetstagare kan ses som ett problem som vi tror att personalchefer kan ha svårt att hantera.

The aim of our study was to examine how Swedish journalists use the three social networks Facebook, Twitter and blogs to find news. We wanted to study which group of journalists that were using these networks most frequently and why. We also wanted to find out which of the three networks they use the most.We made a questionnaire which we sent out by E-mail to 400 Swedish journalists. 215 of them participated in our study.We analyzed the results of the responses from the questionnaire and discussed patterns and relations between them.The study establishes that the majority of the respondents believe that the networks are very useful and effective in their work.Our results show that out of the three social networks the journalists who participated in our study prefer to use blogs as sources in their line of work, as they are full of information from individuals and contain unique facts and stories.Alongside the results we discussed how social networks might be used in the future of journalism. Most of the respondents are aware of the possibility that they may need to increase the usage of them eventually, and that they will be an important part of the journalistic work process in the future. .

This paper describes the design and implementation of an automated build system for the JAS39A simulator FUS39A at HiQ:s offices in Arboga. The assignment was to automate the process in which modules are built; the simulator is composed of a number of modules which are built manually at the end of each week, this process takes about a day of manual labor. The system can automatically build a module as either a scheduled service or by manual invocation. The system contains functionality for reporting the build results to any given recipient by E-mail. The purpose of the system is to free up the time put into manually building the modules for better suited tasks by automating the build of FUS39A.The assignment was split into two parts, an analysis part where information of the old system was gathered, tools and methods were chosen and the new system was designed.

Hösten 2006 genomförde vi en undersökning vars syfte var att utifrån ett lärarperspektiv se vad som görs för att stimulera starka elever i matematik. Denna undersökning genomfördes med hjälp av en enkät som via mail skickades till matematiklärare vid Nv-program. Frågorna som vi ville undersöka var hur lärarna identifierar de starka eleverna, hur de anpassar undervisningen efter deras behov, samt hur stor andel av eleverna som kommer att kunna bedriva studier vid högre läroverk. Resultatet av undersökningen visade på att en majoritet av lärarna har väldigt hög tilltro till sina elevers förmåga att bedriva studier vid universitet/högskola, att det är svårt att generellt säga vad som kännetecknar en stark elev och att det behövs mer grundliga undersökningar inom detta område, samt att starka elever oftast får jobba med fördjupningsuppgifter i sådant de redan har gått igenom eller att de får börja på högre kurser..

Privat annonsering har flyttats från dagspress till nätet vilket har bidragit till bättre sökfunktioner och rikare beskrivning. Då tiden vi spenderar på nätet ökar så öppnar det för att kunna kommunicera i realtid med användare som är online. Tyvärr finns det ingen bra tjänst idag för att kunna kommunicera på något annats sätt än telefon och E-mail.För att skapa ett rikare sätt att kommunicera så skapade jag denna tjänst som gör det möjligt för användare att föra olika konversationer. För att öka säkerhet mellan både säljare och köpare har det skapats betygsättning och att användare registrerar personuppgifter för kontroll av den andra parten. Detta arbete har varit av stort eget intresse för att öka kommunikationsmöjligheterna mellan människor.De tekniker som jag använt har bestått av PHP ramverket Codeigniter som bygger på MVC.
