Background: Stress is a contributing factor to the increase in mental illness among teenagers. The school nurses are obliged to work promotive to prevent ill health in teenagers. The psychosocial part takes more of school nurses? time while other school health duties increases.Purpose: To highlight the school nurses? experience of teenagers stress and the work to help them deal with it.Method: A qualitative study with semi-structured questions. A strategic sample was used and eight nurses participated.

For systems with multicore processors contention for shared resources is a problem that occurs when several memory-intensive processes are executed in parallel within the same memory domain. This contention has a direct influence on the performance of the system and is a complex problem that has been recognized for a long time. An attractive and actively studied way to minimize this problem is by using a process scheduler adapted to allocate processor cores in a way such that contention for shared resources is minimized.With the introduction of multicore NUMA-systems (Non-Uniform Memory Access) the situation has become even more complex. In these systems the access time for processor cores to different memory domains vary depending on factors such as distance and load. Thus, the process scheduler also has to consider where the memory of each process is placed to minimize the distance and balance the load on each memory domain.This report presents a user-level process scheduler for a NUMA-system based on the multicore processor Tilera TILEPro64.

Inledning: Allt fler utbildar sig inom restaurangbranschen samtidigt som branschen präglas av dålig lönsamhet. Flera tidigare studier visar dock att utbildad personal kan leda till ökad lönsamhet. Genom att anställa en utbildad sommelier och genom att utbilda personalen i matsalen i produktkunskap, serveringsteknik och försäljningsteknik bör vinförsäljningen öka på restaurangen.Syfte: Att kartlägga svenska restaurangers användande av sommelierer och utbildning av matsalspersonalen. Studien syftar också till att identifiera restauratörers attityd mot utbildning samt presentera praktiska riktlinjer för utbildning av personal.Metod: Strukturerade telefonintervjuer genomfördes med restauratörer som tilldelats God klass i White Guide. Trettiotvå restauranger valdes utifrån ett stratifierat slumpmässigt urval.Resultat: Svenska restauranger har i genomsnitt 50 procent utbildad personal i matsalen.

År 2006 levde globalt 18 miljoner människor med Alzheimers sjukdom och på grund av den ökade medellivslängden kommer den siffran om 15 år nästintill ha fördubblats. Trots att sjukdomen har varit känd i över 100 år, är Alzheimer än idag något av ett mysterium för forskare och vetenskapsmän och sjukdomen går fortfarande inte att bota. Såväl i Sverige som i övriga världen är det de anhöriga som utgör navet i omsorgen av dessa patienter och omvårdnaden sker ofta inom hemmets fyra väggar. Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur anhörigas dagliga liv påverkas av att vårda en person med Alzheimers sjukdom i hemmet. En litteraturstudie baserad på kvalitativa samt kvantitativa artiklar genomfördes.

The purpose of this study is to generate a greater understanding of the different ways in which music can be used to build an identity and create image within movies, and also to explain the different impacts this can have on the parties involved. Through the history of movies music has been used as a tool for enhancement and for expression of emotions. Through music the audience relates to personal memories or emotional states and the experience is given a deeper impact, helping to create memorable movie scenes. Certain directors have created a unique identity through the use of music in their movies, and also artists have been brought forward by starring in a soundtrack. What we find interesting, and what is also the discussion in this study, is in what ways this collaboration/artistic expression can be done and what impact it has on the parties involved.

The development of the radio medium ? a case study of Sveriges radio is a scientific report of the case study that was made in the spring of 2014 on Sveriges Radio Västerbotten. The report investigates and analyzes how radio has been developed.The purpose of this study is to analyze the production flows of the radio and explore how it has been developed. The project?s objective is to raise the knowledge in media development, primarily radio?s development.The scientific theory is based on the concept of media convergence, in this chapter the reader will learn what media convergence means, but also how it works in the media world and the Public Service.

Att arbeta som landskapsarkitekt innebär att möta många olika människor med olika önskemål och krav. Det innebär att arbeta problemlösningsbaserat, platsorienterat, och som detta arbete vill belysa, med en medveten kommunikativ inställning gentemot alla de olika aktörer som man samverkar med. Jag menar att det goda resultatet i stadsutvecklings- och stadsbyggnadsprocesser ligger i den dialog och det gemensamma lärande som uppstår vid en positiv samverkan mellan alla involverade aktörer. Fokus ligger på det gemensamma arbetet och en god samverkansprocess på väg fram till målet, snarare än på själva målet.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att belysa, undersöka, samt främja ett fortsatt arbete med och en ökad medvetenhet om, kommunikationens betydelse, tillämpning och resultatpåverkan inom landskapsarkitekturen. Den typ av kommunikation som främst behandlas i detta arbete är den som kan kategoriseras kring det fysiska mötet.

Abortion remains a contentious issue, which greatly raises ethical problems. This thesis examines the leading arguments in the Swedish abortion debate around the ? in terms of legislation ? critical years of 1938 and 1974. With Foucault's genealogical method, Butler's theories of gender as a social construction in relation to power and doxa, the study examines what the development of the argumentation says about the views on morality, the woman's body, life, individual and state? How has the arguments pro and against abortion changed over time and what does this say about the norms that guide and orientate the arguments? The most obvious change in argumentation is seen in the shift from an absolute moral and conservative position into an increasingly relativistic and liberal position, and this study will argue that this shift has its prerequisites in the changing status of the citizen and state.

The purpose of my study was to explore how preschool educators in Kenya look at children's influence on teaching. Researchers have argued that the formal educational system in Kenya today is a remnant of its days as a colony when people were expected to blindly follow rules without questioning them. I have used qualitative interviews as a method in order get the most concrete understanding of educators? views on the influence from children. The educators I interviewed were based at a school I visited in Kenya.

Purpose ? The purpose of this study is to identify and describe how consumer perceptions regarding information quality, sender credibility and effect of eWOM-communication differ between Facebook and Prisjakt.Approach ? Based on previous research an analytical model was designed. The parts in the model were the aspects of the problem which the present study aimed to examine. An experimental design was applied in which ten students at Örebro University were exposed to a scenario where they took part of eWOM-communication concerning a specific product on Facebook and Prisjakt and then had to answer questions in an interview. The analytical model formed the base of the interview guide used in the interview and the specific product was chosen with help from a focus group.Implication ? The study illustrates that consumers may perceive the quality higher on Prisjakt while the sender credibility can be perceived higher on Facebook.

System Andersson AB is a company located in Jönköping that works with developing computer systems for the mechanical engineering industry. As of today, when this report is written, the company is working on the development of a new Manufacturing Planning and Control (MPC) system. This new system aims to create not only a user friendly interface but also a modern, stylish interface. To achieve this, the company has decided to work with a, for them, new application framework; Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).System Andersson is well known for developing systems for different kinds of touch screens, this project is no exception. For this new user interface the company wishes to implement different types of Drag&Drop functionality.

Att genom behovsskattningar kartlägga anställdas psykologiska drivkrafter, för att bättre kunna anpassa arbetet efter individens behov är en nyutvecklad metod inom organisationsutveckling. Det finns ett brett vetenskapligt stöd för att en god överenstämmelse mellan person-arbete ger upphov till många fördelar på såväl individ- som organisationsnivå. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur chefer använder behovsskattningar och samla erfarenheter kring vilka effekter och utmaningar som finns förenade med detta arbete. Datamaterialet samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex chefer och arbetsledare som använt behovsskattningar i sina organisationer. Resultatet visade att behovsskattningar kan ligga till grund för arbetsanpassning och även utgöra en guide för hur kommunikation och ledarskap bättre kan anpassas efter individens behov.

The aim of this study was to acquire a greater understanding and knowledge about how care staff at houses with special services for people with intellectual disabilities think and work (handle situations) regarding sexuality. To achieve our goal we carried out nine semi structured interviews using an interview guide. These interviews took place in two different communities in southern Sweden. The theoretical perspectives that were used to analyze the result were Sense of Coherence, Scope of action and Normalization. The result showed that the staff considered sexuality a part of their work and a natural subject to talk about.

Landets kommuner har en stor utmaning i hur man ska organisera den alltmer komplexa verksamheten och samtidigt kunna dra nytta av anställdas kompetens på ett tillfredställande sätt. Ängelholms kommun har bland annat valt att arbeta med Lean som är en filosofi men främst en samling metoder och verktyg som handlar om att ha ett synsätt och arbetssätt i verksamheten som skapar värde för kunden. Man ska fokusera på det värdeskapande och optimera detta, medan det icke värdeskapande ska ifrågasättas och minimeras. Syftet med uppsatsen var att utveckla större kunskap om hur individer uppfattar att lärande och utveckling individuellt och i arbetsgruppen påverkas när Lean förbättringstavla används som hjälpmedel. Jag har utgått från Senges modell för förändring där fem discipliner, kunskapsområden, blir medarbetarens bästa guide på en framgångsrik väg.

The living library started in Denmark at the festival of Roskilde in 2000. It was initiated by the youth organisation ?Stop volden? (?Stop the violence?). Since 2005 the idea of lending a human being who represents a prejudice has also become a practice in a few public libraries in Sweden. I found it interesting to analyse the living library in relation to the mission of diversity in the public library.
