In order to suggest improvements for the logistics of STARKA, we felt that we had to analyze all the activities which were related to STARKA's logistic processes. Our primary analysis consisted of a rough but comprehensive description of different functions in the company, and the relationship between them. This was performed by following a typical order through the company to see which functions were affected by the order.Since we needed a more thorough view of the company, we decided to analyze the different products STARKA currently has on the market, focusing on economic data such as turn-over, profit, profit margin, deficiency cost and cost of warehousing. We also analyzed the company's choice of manufacturing processes, organization, warehousing processes, strengths and weaknesses.These analyses gave us a clear understanding of the company and its processes. STARKA is a small, function oriented company with a wide range of products.

Syfte: Vårt syfte är dels att redogöra för innebörden av begreppen ?hållbarhetsredovisning? och ?kvalitetssäkrad hållbarhetsredovisning? samt att redogöra för sju intressenters uppfattning om kvalitetssäkrad hållbarhetsredovisning. Vi skall dessutom diskutera effekterna av kvalitetssäkrad hållbarhetsredovisning. Metod: Vi har i examensarbetet använt oss av ett induktivt tillvägagångssätt där vi genomkvalitativa intervjuer undersöker vår problemställning. Teoretiska perspektiv: Då det inte finns någon teori som behandlar vårt område har vi skapat en egen modell utifrån befintliga teorier.

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Sandvik Materials Technology i Sandviken, avdelning SFLD under perioden december 2005 ? april 2006. Uppgiften i examensarbetet var att skapa en parametriserad finita element modell i programmet MSC.Marc Mentat för rörbockning, primärt för simulering av små bockningsradier Syftet med modellen är att kunna studera restspänningar, töjningar, ovalisering, återfjädring och förändringar i godstjocklek för det bockade röret ur ett tredimensionellt perspektiv för att skapa en djupare teoretisk förståelse för vad som sker med ett rör då det bockas. Modellen ska även fungera som ett verktyg för att kunna svara på kundförfrågningar, gällande ett specifikt materials bockbarhet. Modellen är utvecklad för dragbockning i kallt tillstånd, vilket är den bockningsmetod som används inom Sandvik AB för små bockningsradier.

The presented data were collected through interviews conducted with four employees on Gekås. Conclusion: The study concludes that for a business with cost leadership strategy the financial measurements are more important than non-financial meausurements. For Gekås it is important to keep the performance measurement simple and understandable for the employees. They only use three measurements (sales, hours and sales per hour) in planning and in evaluation.

The purpose is also to add explanation by using Behavioral analysis Method: Quantitative research of bankruptcies using financial prediction models and qualitative study of psychological pitfalls. The study is deductive. Results: I found that it is possible to explain the bankruptcies using the prediction models. The behavioural perspective adds further explanation.

Denna studie undersöker huruvida aktiv strategi villkorlig en diskret regression modell (DRM) skapar mervärde relativt en passiv buy-and-hold strategi i form av avkastning, risk samt variationskoefficient. Modellens metod, en binär logistisk regression, estimerar den förväntade relativa avkastningen mellan en indexfond (AFGX) samt den korta riskfria räntan (SSVX). För estimera den relativa avkastningen mellan tillgångarna använder DRM data från aktiemarknaden, räntemarknaden, obligationsmarknaden, inflationsindex samt industriproduktionsindex. Timingbeslutet görs vid varje månadsskifte och kapitalet placeras i den tillgången med högst förväntad avkastning under kommande månad med start den 1:e januari 2002 och slut den 31:e december 2005.Den empiriska diskussionen visar att mervärdet av DRM´s avkastning, risk och variationskoefficient kontra de fast viktade portföljerna uteblir. Således blir slutsatsen att DRM inte klarar av att mäta den förväntade relativa avkastningen mellan tillgångarna och den passiva strategin i denna kontext förblir ett bättre alternativ..

This makes de management of information complex. To mange, monitor and analyze the information, companies can use a system called Business Intelligence. BI system is an analytical system that extracts and converts data into useful information that helps employees to make informed decisions.

The Swedish retail business has been characterized by a small number of ruling distributors. These distributors have been affected negatively by the internationalization which has made it possible for international distributors to establish their stores in the Swedish market. These international distributors are focused on low price stores. Their establishment on the Swedish market has led to a decrease in market shares for the Swedish distributors, which has damaged their profitability. Another change that has affected the Swedish distributors is that the behavior and needs of the customers has changed.

Problem:How should a smaller investor behave when investing in the stock market and what knowledge should he have about the business he´s investing in? Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is to give the smaller investor a tool for investing in the stock market. The thesis aim to illustrate, through key ratios, what companies an investor should look for when investing in a company. Method:By studying already existing theories and then apply them on the thesis. The theories was then developed and refined to evolve to the finished thesis.

One of the main objectives of all food production is to produce foods that can safely beconsumed without fear of being sick. Despite this hundreds of people are affected in Sweden offood poisoning almost every day. Most cases are caused by a small group of so-called pathogenicmicroorganisms. The most frequently affected are the small children, the elderly, persons withreduced resistance and pregnant. The reasons behind the food poisoning are often ignorance andlack of food hygiene.

Globaliseringen innebär möjligheter för företag att verka på en större marknad, men detta innebär också att organisationen blir mer utspridd och svårkontrollerad. Ett ökat fokus på kunskap som resurs för att skapa konkurrensfördelar samt att använda expatriering som ett verktyg för hantering av den utspridda organisationen har lett fram till valet av syfte med denna uppsats. Vi vill utifrån vår modell över hur repatrioters kunskap kan överföras och bidra till organisationens utveckling, beskriva och analysera hur företag idag tar tillvara på repatrioters kunskap. Vi har valt att göra vår undersökning på företag noterade på Stockholmsbörsen som använder sig av expatriering utanför Norden.Som grund för vår modell ligger teori om den kunskap repatrioter införskaffar under utlandstjänstgöring, hur kunskap kan överföras samt hur den kan utveckla organisationen och stärka dess konkurrenskraft. Utifrån vår modell har vi sedan skapat ett frågeformulär som ligger till grund för vår empiri.

Studier visar att dagens elever känner oro inför framtiden och de klimatförändringar vår värld utsätts för. Skolverkets nationella kartläggning utav miljöundervisning i skolan visar dock att cirka hälften av de tillfrågade gymnasielärarna inte bedriver någon undervisning i ämnet. Denna studie beskriver en alternativ modell för undervisning i klimatfrågor. Elever ges genom modellering av ekosystem möjlighet att fördjupa sin förståelse kring klimatförändringar i samband med exploatering av topp-predatorer. Detta är ett realistiskt problem då en mängd studier visar att dagens ekosystem utsätts för en mängd stressfaktorer, med ursprung i klimatförändringar, och att exploatering av topp-predatorer kan leda till konsekvenser med artutdöende som följd.

Det finns många olika faktorer som påverkar kapaciteten på våra järnvägar. Infrastrukturen är en viktig del men även tidtabeller och blandningen av trafik påverkar kapaciteten. Hur trafiken fungerar på stationerna är givetvis en mycket viktig del av järnvägssystemet. I denna rapport studeras linjekapacitetsmodeller vars syfte är att bedöma kapaciteten på linjespåren mellan stationerna. De modeller som studeras i denna rapport är UIC-modellen och Banverkets modell för linjekapacitet.

Globalisation trends and contemporary business concepts need people who are mobile on the other hand. But migration numbers are still low within Europe. The purpose of this thesis is to find out how much the legal uncertainties, and the different culture mentality in the workplace of another country act as barriers in the minds of the people who wish to work abroad.
