Throughout the history, the theories which have shaped our cities have varied from time to time. We have gone from a city development characterized by spontaneousness, where commerce and people side by side shared the space, into a function-based planning where people and functions are being increasingly separated. Regardless the forms of planning the city design causes implications for those who live there when the physical environment controls were we live, work and meet. In today's society where `sustainability ' has become a watchword the current community planning needs to be questioned so we, in the best possible way, can meet future changes. Searching for new planning strategies is part of this and in this essay the term `mixed-use´ will be investigated and analyzed in terms of its social aspects.

Vårt examensarbete innebar att skapa ett system för digital lagring av trafikolyckor som inträffat i Kiruna centralort. De dataprogram vi använde oss av var ESRI Arc-view, Microsoft Access och Excel. Arbetsgång: Vi använde oss av Kiruna kommuns databas över vägnamn som via en länk kopplade ihop programmen Arc-view och Access. Alla vägnamn kommer därmed att finnas tillgängliga i Access databasen. Varje trafikolycka tilldelas ett unikt diarienummer vid inmatning i Access.

The division of Electricity at Uppsala University runs a project called Lysekil project, they have designed a buoy that uses the waves to create electric power from a generator attached to the bottom of the sea.Uppsala University is closely connected with the company Seabased and the university makes use of their facilities in Lysekil. When they designed the buoy issues occurred, the geometric design was flawed, brackets with a short shelf life and it is generally uneconomic.A study visit was done in Lysekil on Seabased facility. With this visit the project started, which is to improve the design of the buoy and the attachment of wires leading to the generator. In this project we have chosen to use a beam system with three beams that are attached to the buoy. Then a wire attached to a plate that sits between the beams will be leading to the generator. Two proposals for construction are created, what distinguishes them are the brackets between the beams and the buoy.From these constructions, the design that is considered most optimal for our project is chosen.All parts of the buoy have been modeled and the drawings are designed in ProEngineer software.The two constructions are compared with each other, but the whole focus is on the second and final structure. The report begins with an introduction describing Lysekil project, and a task description of our project.The project aims to produce an optimal buoy that will be easy to design, materials restrictive with good durability and an economical solution.Wave power true function has been studied, mechanical and finite element analysis of beams, buoy and plate design.This has been presented in this report, where in the various chapters can read more about the processes. The purpose of our study is to determine whether a membership in FRII exercise any influence over the fundraising organizations accounting and work, and if that?s the case we want to study the effects.We began with a search for information about the theories we intended to use in our study and to establish hypotheses. We came to the conclusion that the agency theory and the stakeholder model were the most relevant theories for our work. We also chose to discuss problems in accounting, legitimacy theory and standard setting.We decided to conduct a total opinon poll due to the fact that FRII only have approximately seventy members. We also decided to conduct a cross section approach which means that the attempt of our study is broad but rather shallow.

Arbetet behandlar chefer i kommunal verksamhet och vad de ska ha fokus på i sitt chefskap för att öka uppfattningen hos sina medarbetare att de är bra chefer. Syftet med studien är att på ett överskådligt vis redogöra för hur stor betydelse olika delar av ledarskapet har för hur medarbetare uppfattar chefer som helhet. Den övergripande frågeställningen är: Vad ska chefer i kommunal verksamhet fokusera på för att ha nöjda medarbetare? För att besvara vår frågeställning har vi utgått från ett kvantitativt insamlat material som består av enkätundersökningar utförda i åtta svenska kommuner, mellan åren 2004 till 2006. Antalet svarande totalt sett är 30 318 personer, varav nära 2 300 är chefer.

High demands are set on all equipment used in emergency service work, where small margins can be the distinguishing factor between life and death during a rescue operation. It is important that tools such as ladders quickly and easily can be dismounted from a vehicle and still satisfy the regulatory requirements for securing loads during transport. The existing solution for getting ladders down from the roof of a fire engine requires a large manual effort from the user in an ergonomically unsound posture.In this degree project a new ladder holder is developed with focus on the user to solve the ergonomic problems and at the same time create a more compact design that can be adapted to several different types of ladders. After an initial pre-study with user-interviews and measurement of forces and distances a set of requirements was formulated that came to govern the project's direction. Creative methods were used to generate concepts that improved the function and through design solutions, calculations and testing in CAD a base for manufacturing of a new product was created.The result is a completely new type of ladder holder that minimizes the user's manual effort and simplifies the securing of ladders in the holder.

Bakgrund: Kompetensbeskrivning för legitimerad sjuksköterska beskriver att det är sjuksköterskans ansvar att ge patienten en god och säker vård ur ett etiskt perspektiv samt genom beprövad erfarenhet. Patientnärmre vård är ett arbetssätt som sätter patienten och dennes problem och behov i centrum. Omvårdnadens kvalitet ökar och ger en snabbare rehabiliteringstid för patienten. Syfte: Att granska vad den patientnära tiden innebär för sjuksköterskan och se vad den innehåller. Hur mycket tid, totalt, läggs ner på patientnära tid under ett dagspass? Metod: Empirisk, strukturerad icke deltagande observationsstudie med kvantitativ och kvalitativ ansats.

Fuel pellets are in Sweden mainly produced from sawdust and cutter shavings. Before the pelletising process the raw material is dried to attain consistent moisture content and ground up in a hammer mill. In the densification process (pelletising) the ground material is forced through holes in a rotating die. This heats up the wood particles which cause them to soften and self bond. After the process the pellets are cooled, sieved and bagged. The milling process creates a wide range of particle sizes.

Fixturer är vanliga i tillverkningsindustrin för att hålla detaljer på plats under tiden de monterassamman. Det vanliga är att fixturerna konstrueras för varje specifik uppsättning av detaljer som skafixeras. Ibland uppstår behovet att kunna justera fixturer så att de kan återanvändas. Den typ avflexibel fixtur som används i detta arbete har fått namnet flexapod.Arbetets resultat är ett grafiskt användargränssnitt, en operatörspanel, som hjälper operatören medjusteringen av flexapoderna. Målet för operatören är att justera längden på flexapodens sex ben såatt flexapoden hamnar i önskat läge.

The purpose of this study was to find out what different groups of visitors do when they are at Borås City Library. Three issues were formulated from the purpose and they were: What do users do when they visit the City Library in Borås? What occupations do those who visit the library have? What similarities and differences are there in the use of the library depending on the visitors? occupations? To answer these questions a questionnaire was handed out among the visitors at Borås City Library. The theory that was used when the material was analyzed comes from the book?Gør biblioteket en forskel?? and the book is written by Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hveneegaard Rasmussen.

Sjuksköterskors attityd till omvårdnadsforskning och forskningsanknytning i sitt omvårdnadsarbete är en del i omvårdnadens utveckling. Denna studie har för syfte att beskriva psykiatrisjuksköterskors attityd till omvårdnadsforskning och forskningsanknytning. Frågeformulär skickades till 40 slumpmässigt utvalda sjuksköterskor inom vuxenpsykiatrisk vård på ett universitetssjukhus i södra Sverige. Data har bearbetats i SPSS 11.5 och redovisas med frekvenstabeller och diagram. Resultat från 26 erhållna frågeformulär visar att psykiatrisjuksköterskorna hade en positiv attityd till forskning men att resultat från forskning inte används i någon större utsträckning.

Mobiltelefoner är idag en het teknologi och det blir fler och fler företag som väljer att presentera sig själva även mobilt för att på så sätt nå fler kunder. På marknaden finns en mängd av olika typer av mobiler vilket kan orsaka svårigheter för ett företag att komma ut med sin mobilapplikation då olika typer av mobiler ställer olika tekniska och kunskapskrav på företaget som utvecklar applikationen. En alternativ lösning kan vara en hybridmobilapplikation som gör det möjligt att ta fram applikationer för olika typer av mobilenheter baserad på samma kod-bas.I denna rapport har jag tagit fram en prototyp av en hybridmobilapplikation för ett BI konsultbolag. Applikationen skapades i enlighet med Kanban metodologi och använde sig av ramverket Ionic. Den skapade mobilapplikationen presenterar ekonomisk data i form av tabeller och diagram och har även interaktiva delar.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att identifiera skillnader i uppfattningar om lojalitet mellan kunder och personal i ett tjänsteföretag. Teori: Teorin baserar sig på lojalitet och är hämtad från Barroso och Picon (2012). Det centrala i teorin är flerdimensionellt begrepp av lojalitet. Vår teoretiska modell är fullt testbar. Metod: En kvantitativ metod har använts under denna undersökning. Det har samlats in data från personal och kunder genom elektroniska enkäter.

Syftet med denna studie var att mäta och jämföra de bullernivåer som en passagerare utsätts för på SL:s pendelbåtslinje 80, Sjövägen, med SL:s busslinjer 443 och 76. Sträckan Nacka Strand ? Nybroplan var lämplig för att båda fordonens start och slutpunkt är belägna nära varandra och båda trafikslagen är valbara alternativ för passageraren.  I denna studie genomfördes bullermätningar ombord i enheten dB(A) med en loggande ljudtrycksmätare.  Studien genomfördes som en fallstudie där metoden designades för att undersöka ljudnivån under en normal resa.
