In this thesis a rural network in Norrbotten, Sweden, has been to designed and planned with the purpose of improving distribution reliability by exchanging existing overhead lines with underground cables. General network design considerations are discussed as well as the ones for the specific low voltage grid. During the design phase the maximum power of domestic consumers has been estimated using Velander?s method. Currents, voltage drop and impedance of the network have been calculated and fuse operation and selectivity has been considered.

The purpose of this study was to illustrate the effects of music in pre-, peri-, and postoperative care. This study is a systematic literature study based on 22 scientific articles with quantitative methods. Music is an alternative treatment used in nursing care. Nurses could as a complement to routine pre-, peri-, and postoperative nursing have music interventions in mind, because an operation involves anxiety, fear and pain for many patients. The result of the study shows that music can reduce patients? anxiety, pain and improving their wellbeing and recovery.

Syftet med vår rapport är att försöka ge en djupare inblick i ett av polisens mindre kända verksamhetsområden. Vi har valt att arbeta med de regionala insatsgrupperna både för att vi själva vill få ökade kunskaper om deras verksamhet samt för att undersöka hur denna polisiära resurs är organiserad i polismyndigheten. Rapporten försöker att analysera hur de regionala insatsgrupperna skiljer sig åt beträffande arbetsformer, utbildning och organisation i Örebros respektive Västerbottens polismyndighet. De fakta och uppgifter som rapporten bygger på har inhämtats från litteratur och genom intervjuer. Det vi har kommit fram till är att de regionala insatsgrupperna skiljer sig signifikant från varandra och en likriktning av verksamheten genom nationellt fastställda direktiv skulle kunna kompetenssäkra insatsgruppernas verksamhet..

The discussion on whether the aesthetics or the pedagogy of children´s literature is the most important trait of the genre has been going on for quite some time. As children´s literature rose from a will to educate it is argued that pedagogy is forever imbued in the literature that addresses the child as its main reader. Literary scholars voices concern that the discussions about aesthetic expressions are being shunned in favor of that of educational values but does one exclude the other?In this essay I focus on two of Swedens most prominent authors of children´s literature, Lennart Hellsing and Ulf Stark. They are both part of the aesthetics/pedagogy debate, in their fictional works for children as well as with articles and essays on the subject.

My aim with the experience-based essay is that I want to explore the implications of mathematics on children's development. I also want to examine my approach in relation to the various mathematical tasks. Why do we think that mathematics is important for pre-school children? What does the research say about how the teacher is thinking about mathematics? Can the teacher combine playing and learning and create meaningful moments and activities related to mathematics? I also want to explore our policies and the objectives that the teacher should relate to. The report begins with a general inventory of possible technical faults in a hydropower plant and of possible fault indicating measurements. Then an investigation is made concerning a few different faults. Based on this investigation a choice on seal box condition and water leakage is made as problem for a more thorough examination, in which it is concluded that the turbine water leakage is larger when the turbine is put into operation. The examination ultimately results in a computer alarm for faults related to the seal box. This essay aims to examine Martha Nussbaum's proposal for a classical defense of reform in liberal education and her critique of utility thinking in higher education. I want to explore how Nussbaum uses history to create an ethical alternative that cultivates both moral and intellectual virtues, which she considers to be crucial for the survival of democracy. In examining Nussbaum's use of Aristotle, I focus on her work as a proposal for institutional implementation of an Aristotelian epistemology and the cultivation of the individual as an ethical political subject. This study highlights the epistemological, educational and political ideas that form the basis of Nussbaum's ideals. I intend, however, to go beyond a contextualizing reading and thus establish a dialogue with a radical intersubjectivity to respond to Nussbaum's ambitions to recognize human vulnerabilities as assets for reason.

The implementation of integration policy has in recent times been a major problem for the municipal administrations in Swedish municipalities. The concept of integration is considered to be very diffuse, difficult to apply and implement the following decisions. To understand the concept of integration is the first step, followed by understanding its complexity in an organization.In this study, I focus on studying the implementation of integration policies for integration work with Kalmar Municipality as a case study. I am using Lundquist's implementation theory about understanding, able and willing. The survey consists primarily of interviews but also a certain document to get a perspective on how integration policy has gone into integration work with the hypothesis that it is the understanding that weaknesses of the officials in the implementation of integration policies.

Övervikt och fetma är ett snabbt växande folkhälsoproblem i Sverige, liksom i övriga världen, som ger upphov till bland annat hjärt-kärlsjukdomar och andra negativa fysiska och mentala tillstånd. Enligt den senaste forskningen har magsäcksoperation fastslagits som den mest effektiva metoden för viktminskning vid svår fetma. Syftet med denna studie, som bygger på nio vetenskapliga artiklar, är att belysa på vilket sätt livskvaliteten påverkas hos vuxna individer som genomgått en sådan operation. Resultatet visar att livskvaliteten förbättras, dock inte för alla. Tidigare depression eller ätstörningsbeteende kan i flera fall finnas kvar postoperativt och tenderar då att ge sämre utfall eller inverka negativt på det sammantagna förloppet för individen..

Olika modeller har genom åren tagits fram för att förenkla analys av aktiemarknaden. En relativt ny teknik är så kallade artificiella neuronnät.Dessa modeller har visat sig lovande när det gäller att förutsägaaktiekurser. Projektets syfte är att hitta artificiella neuronnät som ger bra förutsägelser av framtida aktiekurser. Under projektet har ett mjukvarusystemsom genererar och tränar artificiella neuronnät av typen feedforward utvecklats för att kunna testa neuronnät med olika indata, struktur och träningsinställningar. För att komma fram till vilka konfigurationer på neuronnäten som ger bra resultat har näten testats genom simulerad aktiehandel där köp- och säljbeslut grundats på neuronnätens förutsägelser.

Bakgrund: Den vanligaste tumörsjukdomen hos män är prostatacancer, samtidigt som prostatacancer oftast drabbar äldre män ökar andelen äldre i befolkningen vilket har medfört en ökad incidens. Den vanligaste behandlingen för att bota prostatacancer är operation då prostatakörtel, sädesledare och sädesblåsor opereras bort, radikal prostatektomi. Den mest betydande komplikationen efter detta ingrepp är impotens. Hur impotens efter radikal prostatektomi upplevs är till stor del beroende av sjuksköterskans roll i omvårdnaden. Syfte: Att beskriva vad tidigare studier visat om mäns upplevelser av erektil dysfunktion och dess påverkan på sexualliv och livskvalitet efter genomgången radikal prostatektomi.

SAMMANFATTNINGFör att möjliggöra öppen hjärtkirurgi används hjärt-lungmaskin som leder blodet i en bana utanför kroppen sammankopplat med kroppscirkulationen. Möjliga komplikationer efter kirurgi med stöd av hjärt-lungmaskin kommer från det centrala nervsystemet och kan ge upphov till kognitiva symtom, dessa komplikationer har ökat sedan 70-talet. Kognitiva nedsättningar kan påverka både patientens livskvalitet och sjukvårdens ekonomi. Risker med att opereras med stöd av hjärt-lungmaskin är embolier, hypoperfusion, anestesi och inflammation. Detaljerad information till patienter som ska genomgå hjärtkirurgi gör dem mer förberedda på eventuella komplikationer.

This qualitative study examines the participation that older people have in their own home care by exploring experiences of care workers. We will investigate to see if there are limitations due to financial implications in the sector. Modern day care of the elderly in Sweden is facing increasing pressures to both show cost savings whilst maintaining the same levels of service within the community. It is becoming more essential for older people to participate in their own care for the sake of their health and well-being. The method that we used for data collection was qualitative interviews.
