Purpose: The study examines the risk a rising from the acquisition of shares, and its relation to the expected return. We would like to see how a high-risk portfolio is related to a low-risk portfolio. Although studying the portfolios annual performance.Theory: The theories that have been used in the study are, Capital asset pricing model, CAPM and portfolio theory.Method: The study is based on a quantitative method, the time interval is from 2008 to 2010.The annual reports, historical stock prices for companies and the index are used to perform calculations based on the essay theories.Conclusion: The beta value has positive liner correlation with the expected return. På Island finns många gamla traditioner. Jordbrukare har under lång tid använt sig av allmänningar för att låta djur beta på under sommarmånaderna. Allmänningarna spelar också en stor roll för det isländska kulturarvet. Den viktigaste händelsen i samband med allmänningen är den årliga fårskiljningen. Fårskiljningen äger rum på hösten och då är nästan varenda person i bygden inblandad på ett eller annat sätt. Man delas upp i olika arbetslag för att hämta hem fåren från allmänningarna som är belägna i fjällen. I denna uppsats skriver jag om min hembygd på norra Island, närmare bestämt Deildardal i Skagafjördurs kommun.

The order authority therefore has to find ways to make sure to get what has been paid for.In connection to the invitation for tender of winter road upkeep for 2005, the new set of rules, ATB Vinter 2003 was deployed.The main purpose of this thesis is to see which the big changes in the set of rules are and how these changes affect the organisation and activities of the constructor.It is also studied how the changes in execution is perceived by road users and how it affects the possibilities of the constructor to come as a newcomer to a new area of administration.Interviews and examination of sets of rules has led to a list of a number of changes that the constructors feel affect their work in any sense.Views from road users that have come in to the order authority have been scrutinized to see how they have experienced the change.

This paper is about the new programming language from Microsoft, C# (See Sharp) and the .NET Framework. They are still in beta-version, but will be released on the market in February 2002. This paper presents C#, not in detail but the characteristics that distinguish the language. A comparison is done with C++ and Java, since C# is most resembling to these languages. Both C# and Java have been developed from the mother- language C++.

Uppsatsen behandlar olika aspekter inom integrationsprocessen vid företagsförvärv. Företagsförvärv är synnerligen vanligt förekommande i Sverige idag och inte minst i IT-branschen. Genom denna fallstudie av två förvärv inom IT-branschen ges en överblick över vilka fallgropar och problem som kan finnas med de mjuka aspekterna i en integrationsprocess. Denna magisteruppsats är en kvalitativ studie av integrationsprocessen inom områdena Organisationsstruktur, styrning och ledarskap, Kommunikation, Kulturskillnader samt Kompetensförsörjning. Undersökningen har genomförts genom intervjuer och enkäter vid två IT-företag, Alfa och Beta (dessa företag samt respondenterna är anonyma).

In this study, we have explored a new area called ?gamification? ? a word and concept that was first introduced on the Internet autumn 2010. Gamification concerns integrating game design, with emphasis on game mechanics and game dynamics, into non-gaming contexts ? such as marketing. At its basic definition, it concerns the process of transforming all kinds of activities into games.

The main purpose in this degree thesis is to investigate changes in performance when introducing a newly produced Real-Time database in one of CC Systems products, the Diagnostic Runtime Engine, DRE. The thesis is a collaboration between CC Systems, creator of DRE, and Mimer AB, developer of the Real-Time database.The result reveals that the time spent on database access is considerably lesscompared to the originally used database. The research has lead to several additional requirements on the real-time database and these are presented as part of the result in this thesis. The additional features will help making the product more suitable for DRE and similar applications.Additional research is required to be able to recommend the use of this product or not. Primarily the performance in another operating system, Windows CE, but also the introduction of additional features should be investigated.

Det råder en ökad tendens för den svenska småspararen att diversifiera sin aktieportfölj efter eget behag så att andelen obligationer och aktier tillsammans med utländska värdepapper och derivat kan ge maximal avkastning i förhållande till risk. Ett förekommande problem är dock att hitta rättvisa mått, matematiska och ekonomiska, som visar den korrekta bilden av en tillgångs utveckling i förhållande till marknadsportföljen varpå det krävs en förståelse för hur en tillgång eller en portfölj rör sig rent matematiskt. Utvalda aktier och obligationer ska avläsas ur måtten kovarians, korrelation, effektivitet och volatilitet och sedan ska resultatet ställas mot att enbart ha analyserat betavärdet för portföljen för att komma fram till lämpliga matematiska uttryck när man analyserar den diversifierade aktie/obligationsportföljen för en person med begränsad finansiell kunskap. Risken med urholkad valuta i utländska aktietransaktioner samt två olika optionsstrategier kommer också att redovisas rent grafiskt i studien för att visa utökade avkastningsmöjligheter..

ABSTRACTA defect implantation process is the major reason for unexplained infertility. Estrogen andprogesterone are steroid hormones preparing the endometrium for implantation. They mediatetheir effect through their receptors: estrogen receptor alpha and beta and progesteronereceptor A and B, respectively. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), which is also important forimplantation, mediates its effect through LIF receptor and the coreceptor, gp130, and is downregulated by suppressors of cytokine signaling 1. The aim of the study was to compare thelevels of the steroid hormone receptors and LIF related factors in the endometrium of twogroups of women with the diagnosis unexplained infertility: one that became pregnant afterassisted reproduction and one that did not become pregnant.

I analysen har författarna kopplat samman teorin och empirin för att diskutera kring, samt försöka besvara studiens syfte.SlutsatsStudien visar att det är möjligt att använda Frans Johanssons (2005) teorier kring skär-ningspunkter i arbetsmetoder.

I det här arbetet undersöks och jämförs två olika sökalgoritmer när de används för implementation av AI-spelare till brädspelet Pentago. De två algoritmerna som användes var alfa-betabeskärning och en nyare algoritm som kombinerar genetiska algoritmer och minimax, kallad genetisk minimax. Utvärderingen av resultaten visar att alfa-betabeskärning passar bättre vid implementation av en AI till Pentago än genetisk minimax. Alfa-betabeskärning med ytterligare optimeringar har potential att lämpa sig väldigt väl för implementation av spelare till Pentago. Ytterligare visar resultaten att genetisk minimax inte är en passande algoritm för AI till Pentago.

In latter years there has been a discussion about the increasing importance of intangible assets and how to incorporate this fact into strategies, accounting and valuation. The ?Internet-bubble? is a recent event that drew much attention to intangible assets, and was an indicator of how complex it can be to value assets in general and intangible information in particular. Legislators recently addressed this issue by introducing IFRS3, which led to an update of IAS38, which in turn revised the methods for handling intangible assets. A specific intangible asset that has caused much debate is research and development (R&D), since it is commonly not allowed to be realized as an asset, which could cause implications concerning analysis and valuation.
