An individual's social capital consists largely of the social networks that may consist offamily, friends and acquaintances. The social network is of great significance on olderpeople's physical and mental health. Aim: The overall purpose is to examine the knowledgeof social network and the health of the elderly. Method: Litterature review, using threedifferent databases, CINAHL, PubMed and Scoupus for searching of articles, with differentcombinations of keywords. Results: Different types of social networks have both positive andnegative effects on health.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate and analyze affecting factors concerning social workers in two different municipality social services, Karlskrona and Karlshamn, working with cases of youth drug abuse. We wanted to see what affects social workers in their choices of assessments of youth drug abusers. We wanted to find out whether the organizational aspects or the cliental qualities affect the social workers more than the other in the choices of assessments. Among the cliental qualities we used in this essay, gender was the most important quality and therefore the quality we wanted to pay special attention to. When it came to the organizational aspects we paid special attention to the social workers boundaries of agency.

The aim of this qualitative deep interview study was to gain deeper understanding of single immigrant mothers´life situation. Grounded Theory was the method of analysis. Repeated interviews with five immigrant women from different parts of the world showed that women were in need of wider and deeper social networks in order to reconstruct their identities. Social support and social networks benefit, not only reconstruction of identity, but also personal well-being. Yet it is difficult for them to create social networks in the new country, because of single motherhood.

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to examine how some larger Swedish public libraries reason about the use of social media as part of their activities and outreach. To attain the purpose three research-questions were established; why does the public library use social media? How does the public library utilize social media? What extra value do librarians believe that use of social media can add to the libraries? function? The methodology used in the thesis is qualitative interviews. Six interviews were conducted with librarians in charge of social media at their respective libraries. Five of the interviews were conducted by telephone and one by email.

The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The purpose of this article is to examine how social workers may experience fear in their profession, how they and their organizations handle the fear and how the fear may affect their practice. To obtain the purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with seven social workers from the southeastern part of Sweden. The experiences of fear were many and are summarized in four categories. Fear of treats and violence, fear of the responsibility in complicated situations and without optimal solution, fear of being regarded and judged as worthless and fear of being scrutinized with the risk of being stigmatized. Syftet med uppsatsen är att presentera utvalda teoretiska modeller i litteratur inom Upplevelseproduktion, samt att genom en produktion testa huruvida dessa teorier är relevanta. Syftet är även att undersöka karaktären hos gästens eventuella upplevelse vid produktionen för att avgöra om de teoretiska modellerna även gjort upplevelsen meningsfull för gästen. Med ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och en deduktiv ansats har vi med hjälp av ett antal teoretiska modeller först planerat och sedan genomfört en reell produktion vid namn Rock n? roll Piteå och med det som grund gjort en kvalitativ intervjustudie baserad på tre fokusgrupper. Endast individen kan avgöra om en upplevelse varit meningsfull, då detta är subjektivt, men med stöd i det resultat fokusgruppintervjuerna visat kan vi konstatera att det för en stor del av informanterna varit en meningsfull upplevelse.

Då större skogsföretag lägger ut många arbeten på entreprenad så blir den ekonomiska hälsan hos entreprenadföretagen en viktig fråga för att kunna bibehålla ett långvarigt samarbete. Detta arbete är en fortsättning på Bergs (2009) där syftet var att hitta en modell som förklarar skogsentreprenörernas ekonomiska situation, korrelera resultatet med resultaten i en enkätundersökning bland de aktuella företagen och jämföra skogsentreprenörernas ekonomiska situation med den för liknande branscher. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka olika multivariata modeller för att bedöma ett entreprenadsföretags ekonomiska situation utifrån de ekonomiska nyckeltal som företagen lämnar i sin årsredovisning. En annan del av arbetet är att undersöka om en modell med variabler beroende på förändringar över tiden kan tillämpas. Metoder som används är faktoranalys, principalkomponentanalys, bekräftande faktoranalys, klusteranalys samt en ad hoc metod här kallad medelskillnad.

Syftet med studien var att problematisera forskning om träningsberoende, utifrån ett diskursivt norm- och maktperspektiv. Tolv artiklar från forskningsfältet analyserades med Foucault och Baudrillards perspektiv om sociala normer och makt som teoretisk utgångspunkt. Resultaten i studien visade att den mest betydande, dock triviala, normen inom forskningen om träningsberoende var att en hög träningsmängd, vilket varierande från 4 timmar per vecka till daglig träning, ansågs vara skadlig och en signifikant riksfaktor för att utveckla träningsberoende. Denna normen användes också för att utöva makt inifrån den sociala kroppen. Vidare visade resultaten en brist på antagonism och motaktioner mot makten som både normer och diagnostiska modeller har i forskningsfältet.

The aim of this study was to examine the relations between sense of coherence (SOC), perceived social support and mood, the study also included gender and civil status in the analysis. In the analysis mood was the dependent variable. The study included 81 respondents, all students from Växjö university, who answered a survey with three parts: SOC 13, Mood Adjective Checklist (MACL), and an own constructed instrument that measured perceived social support. The result showed that those with a high SOC tended to have a greater mood. High scores on perceived social support also were related to a greater mood.

Denna enkät skickades ut till sammanlagt 110 personer i service branschen (vårdanställda och reseledare).
