The purpose of the master thesis was to reflect and analyze music library activities and policies in the public libraries in the area around the city of Borås, in the south-western part of Sweden. With this thesis I also wanted to look at the interaction between the public libraries, the music school and the music associations in the same area. To investigate these matters, qualitative method was used in the form of interviews with seven librarians from seven different libraries and five representatives of different local music organizations. Other methods used were observations and source studies. The literature used discusses the role of the music department of public libraries as well as that of a music librarian working in a public library.

Arbetet handlar om pedagogikens roll för att underlätta bemötandet mellan vårdare och patient och därigenom åstadkomma lärande i riktning mot en förbättrad hälsa. I detta fall begränsas undersökningen till tandvården och mötet mellan tandhygienist och patient. AbstractThe aim of this study was to find out how patients with type-2 diabetes reflected on self-care and the information about selfcareactivites regarding diabetic footulcers.The study has a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The study included fourteen patients with type-2 diabetes and they had footulcers related to their disease. They were recruited from different health centres in two cities in the Middle Sweden. The patients were interviewed and the interviewes were transcribed and worked up with qualitative content analysis. The authors recived seven subcategories which were sorted into two categories; reflection regarding information about self-care and reflection regarding self-care.

In several cases, systems that have been developed have been very time consuming and cost a lot of money, but they still do not fulfil the users requirements and requests. To make new systems better, you have to find a way to communicate that allows the developers to understand the needs of the user. The aim for our thesis is to highlight the importance of communication in system development. To investigate this we have choosen to do a study of the real-estate system. The work methods that have been used include mock-ups and informal conversations with the user, who is employed by the Church of Sweden in Ronneby.

Dagens patient står idag inför svåra val av behandlingar och vård. Det är därför viktigt att patienten ges möjlighet att hantera det dagliga livets krav och att sjuksköterskan stödjer och stärker patientens kontroll över sjukdom och behandling. Patientundervisning är av central betydelse och bör integreras i den dagliga omvårdnaden av patienten och dennes anhöriga. Föreliggande studie syftar därför till att studera de faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskans roll i patientundervisningen och hur Internet kan integreras i undervisningen. Afasi kan drabba både talförmågan och förståelsen för språket. Språket blir på så vis en utmaning för sjuksköterskan. Enligt hälso- och sjukvårdslagen ska sjuksköterskan skapa förutsättningar för patienten till att vara delaktig i sin vård och i kommunikationen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa faktorer som påverkar verbal- och ickeverbal kommunikation mellan patient med afasi efter stroke och sjuksköterskan. Uppsatsen är utformad som en litteraturstudie, där resultatets elva artiklar har hämtats från databaserna Cinahl och PubMed.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine three library weblogs to evaluate how they are used and what type of information the libraries publish in these specific weblogs.The following three questions are the basis of this study:? What is the content of the weblogs?? How is the weblog used as a tool by the libraries?? How is the interaction between the library and the readers of the weblogs presented regarding the comment function?The method that has been used in this study is content analysis and the code units have been created during the process. It is mainly a qualitative analysis but it does also contain quantitative elements. With the content analysis, 21 different themes where cut from the three weblogs. These themes where then put into the model of the local library profiles worked out by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen.

ABSTRACTIn an intermediate section at a large university hospital are patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) cared for. There are international, national and local guidelines how nutrition therapy should be implemented and how much energy each patient should be given when hospitalized. The purpose of this study was to examine the documentation and actions on nutrition in patients with SAH and to see if guidelines on nutrition were followed. The study was a quantitative, retrospective record review that was analyzed statistically and descriptive. 26 patients were included.

According to several surveys, womens´ mental illness is increasing. Today the mental illness is the reason why a third of women are sick listed. Furthermore, these surveys also show an increase in the use of pharmaceuticals. For an example, has the use of antidepressant drugs multiplied by six times for the last 20 years.The aim of this paper is to examine experiences of womens´ mental illness and the use of pharmaceuticals. This is looked upon from two different perspectives: the treatment perspective as well as the perspective of female users.

Introduction: In Sweden the definition of ambulance nursing is the examination and treatment of sick or injured people done by ambulance nurses during transport.  This means not only focus on the illness or injury but also the human being treated. The paramedic service must be based on the presumption that the medical needs of the patients are guaranteed, and that the expectations and demands of the public are satisfied. Competence and availability are basic terms for a well-functional paramedic service. There is a lot of pressure put on the people working with pre-hospital nursing. One mistake can lead to serious consequences for the patient.

Det råder brist på forskning som berör psykiatrisk slutenvård utifrån ett patientperspektiv och studier efterfrågas som på djupet kartlägger patienters upplevelser. Syftet med undersökningen var att öppet och förutsättningslöst beskriva upplevelsen av att vara patient i psykiatrisk slutenvård. Tretton patienter inskrivna vid fyra avdelningar intervjuades och materialet analyserades tematiskt. Resultatet visar att deltagarnas upplevelse av den psykiatriska slutenvården är starkt förknippad med de människor de möter på avdelningen.Patientgruppen blir påverkad av stämningen i personalgruppen vilket får konsekvenser för deras upplevelse av vården. Deltagarna uppskattar engagerad personal som är lyhörd för patientens behov och som ger stöd när de behövs som bäst.

The purpose of this review was to examine in what situations patients with myocardial infarction could feel anxiety. We also wanted to examine what a nurse could do to relieve the anxiety. The results are based on eight scientific articles and one literature review. The results shows that the patient could feel anxiety before examinations and transfers. The patient's anxiety increased if relatives had anxiety and if there were a lack of information from the nurse.
