Föreliggande studie tar sin utgångspunkt i att diskriminerande mekanismer försvårar etnisk inkludering på arbetsmarknaden. Undersökningen söker empiriskt belysa attityder och praktiker inom den privata finans- och IT-sektorn vad avser rekryteringav personer med utländsk bakgrund, samt undersöka resultatet i ljuset av tre diskrimineringsteorier: Stigmatisering, preferensbaserad diskriminering och strukturell diskriminering. Studien bygger på 18 intervjuer och 6 policydokument från 16 olika företag. Studien visar att mångfald och antidiskrimineringsarbete ses som självklarheter. Det är också en förklaring till varför ett aktivt arbete med dessa frågor inte förekommer i större utsträckning än vad diskrimineringslagstiftningen anger i termer om diskrimineringsförbud.

Theaim of this study was to investigate the presence of IBV and to identify genotypesof isolated IBVs in a limited number of layer flocks in Bastos, São Paulo, as partof the screening for circulating genotypes in the country.

The purpose of the directive is that the member states provide the equal rights between men and woman. Affirmative action is one exception from the principle of equal rights which is settled in directive 2006/54/EG, article 3. The purpose for the affirmative action must be to encourage the equal rights between men and women.EU has specific criteria to use affirmative action, which is created by praxis of the Court of Justice of the European Union. These criteria are that the affirmative action must involve an objective assessment, there must be equal qualifications between the person which is affirmative action and the person who is not, the positive action cannot be automatically decisive and this special treatment should be proportionate to the purpose.

According to the immigration service forecasts Sweden faces large refugee influxes in the coming years. This means that educators in the kindergarten, preschool and school, will meat children from the war torn countries. In this study, the purpose is to find out the educators different conceptions of war-affected refugee children, because my theory is that their beliefs influence their actions. I wanted to get answers to their beliefs about the difficulties or challengers that children and educators may be faced with. Furthermore, I wanted to know what educators envisioned about their own role?s importance to the war affected refugee children and their perceptions of the Swedish culture, environment, language and school.

Preschools are nowadays a big part of almost every childhood in Swedish society and the relationships that are built there are important for the child and the child?s future integration in the world of knowledge and education. The preschool teachers are therefore the first persons the child links to beyond the parent. That?s why the relations between the parent and the preschool teacher are an important and interesting aspect in the cooperation between them.

In the autumn of 2012 the fictional character ?Lilla Hjärtat? created by the Swedish authorand illustrator Stina Wirsén, became a much-discussed topic in Swedish media. Thisfollowing the premiere of the children?s film ?Liten Skär och alla små brokiga?.Stina Wirsén is an established and well-acclaimed name in children?s literature. ?LillaHjärtat?, a jet-black doll, had become one of many popular characters in her books.

Syftet med föreliggande projekt är att kartlägga vilka förutsättningar unga erhålls i Södertälje kommun i förhållande till mänskliga rättigheter. Med detta söka nå en förklaring till de motsättningar som föreligger kommunen för att på sikt minska dem, genom att arbeta konkret med implementering av mänskliga rättigheter och eventuella resurser. Metoden för detta antagande har varit av kvalitativ karaktär, med djupintervjuer av 15 informanter. Urvalsgruppen är rektorer, lärare och elever av blandad ålder, etnicitet, kön och funktionsnedsättning.Resultatet har visat att mänskliga rättigheter inte förekommer konkret i undervisningen bland skolorna i Södertälje, dock är de ofta integrerad i undervisningen över lag. Lärare upplever att resurserna är av bristfällig natur, vilket påverkar arbetet med att tillgodose gedigen utbildning.

The purpose of this study is to find out which attitudes, norms and values exists about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) families in preschools. Based on five qualitative interviews with teachers that work at a LGBT-certified preschool and one that is active in their work with norm critical pedagogy. To be able to fulfil my purpose of this study I concentrated on why these teachers believed that it was of importance to counter society?s heteronormativity, to prevent discrimination and mistreatments towards children and their LGBT parents in preschool. I wanted to find out what the teachers thoughts were on the concept of what a family is and how the Diversity of families is shown in the preschools material and pedagogy.When I analysed the results of my qualitative interviews I used queer theories that include heteronormativity and norm critical pedagogy.

Abstract This essay has grown out of an interest for the subject of religion and religious education for upper secondary pupils in Sweden. Our society is characterized by cultural, religious and secular Diversity, which also reflects in the classroom where individuals with different religious preferences share space and participate in discussions. One of my aims is that this essay can be a contribution for future studies in the religious field. Previous research has shown that Swedish pupils increasingly lose interest in the subject of religion (on a personal level but also more in general). There is a possibility that this picture might have changed since these studies where done, and that is what I want to investigate in this essay.

Ambitionen med denna uppsats är att kunna ge ett bidrag i kampen för ökad delaktighet i samhället för personer med funktionsnedsättningar. Forskning visar att det är viktigt att personer med psykiska funktionshinder syns ute i arbetslivet för att motverka stigmatiserande effekter. Det visar sig dock att personer med psykiska funktionshinder idag är den grupp som har det svårast att ta sig in på arbetsmarknaden. Syfte är således att öka förståelsen för funktionshindrades situation på arbetsmarknaden. Studien är av kvalitativ art och har genomförts med stöd av intervjuer vilka senare har tolkats utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv samt med stöd av teori kring rationalisering (Weber) och teori om social kategorisering (Tideman).Resultatet ger en bild av hur arbetsmarknaden idag genomsyras av rationalisering, effektivisering, flexibilitet och vinststrävan.

Natura 2000 is part of the European Union: s framework to protect and preserve biological Diversity. Natura 2000- areas are by the goverment appointed to areas of national interest for preserving nature. Also wind power stations are appointed as of national interest and the reason for this is the goverments goal to get energy from reneweble energysources. This essay describes when both these intrests conflict eachother when it comes to building wind power stations within Natura 2000- areas. The main focus of this essay is a casestudy of two cases from two different counties, Dalarna- and Norrbotten county, where applications have been made to build wind power stations within existing Natura 2000- ares, both cases have reached the court dealing with enviromental issues.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate issues concerning librarians? view on three genres, (a) popular literature for women, (b) popular literature for men and (c) erotic literature, when choosing what to buy for their libraries. A qualitative method has been used and the empery consists of seven qualitative interviews with altogether eight librarians involved in choosing and buying literature. The theoretical framework is built on theories regarding concepts of hegemony and cultural hegemony; the male sex as norm; taste culture and quality. The results show that three of the libraries in the study have a written purchase policy and that the policies that exist are very general.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate and with it clarifying what is meant by a dismissal for personal reasons must be based on valid reasons. More specifically, what is valid reason and what is required for that demand to be regarded as fulfilled.To my help to achieve this I have asked questions such as what kind of behavior from the employee can be the basis for a valid termination of the employment, what factors do the court put emphasis on in a trial and what is the requirements for the employer during the dismissal.The study has further objectives which are to illustrate the phenomenon of valid reason from a Diversity perspective and from an international perspective. To achieve those objectives following questions have been asked: Is some groups covered in a greater extent than others by the requirement that a termination of employment must have valid reasons and are there international counterparts to the Swedish requirement that a dismissal must be factually based.What emerged from the study judicial inquiry is that the phenomena to which the employee is guilty of first is to see as valid reason when the employee are aware of the obligations undertaken in the employment but acting against them and inflicts some sort of damage for the employer.With regard to the employer's obligations in a termination proceeding are they to see as comprehensive and can be summed up to the fact that the employer should do everything in his power to avoid a dismissal.When it comes to the factors a court should take into account is this also a matter of major proportions. The court shall take into account all of the circumstances relating to the dismissal, which means that, with absolutely certainty, determine in advance what the court will decide is an almost impossible task.Furthermore, it emerged from the study that the requirement that a dismissal for personal reasons must be based on valid reasons may come to certain groups of workers to a greater extent than others. The study's investigation also indicates that the Swedish legislation, as it reads today, probably in breach of regulations enacted by the European Union.   .
