Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka i hur några BVC-sjuksköterskor arbetar för att belysa och upptäcka postpartum depression hos nyblivna pappor. Studiens empiriska material bygger på en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Totalt har åtta BVC-sjuksköterskor intervjuats, varav sju av intervjuerna har använts för att presentera studiens resultat. Uppsatsens teoretiska referensram utgörs av Travelbees omvårdnadsteori, Von Bertalanffys generella systemteori samt Antonovskys KASAM. Resultatet visar bland annat att BVC-sjuksköterskorna inte aktivt arbetar för att belysa och upptäcka postpartum depression hos nyblivna pappor, men att några av dem i enstaka fall har erbjudit pappan en EPDS-screening eller pappasamtal.

Background: To be a parent to a child dying of cancer affect not just the parents themselves, but the whole family. Experiences of fear, powerlessness and anxiety surrounds them. Nurses need knowledge about parents? experiences to help and support these parents adequately. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe parents? experiences of losing a child to cancer, from diagnosis to the child?s death.

Introduction: Dental health globally is not equally distributed as shown by caries prevalence is higher in areas with more immigration outside Scandinavia and Western Europe and areas with lower socioeconomic status. To reduce the health inequalities in Borås, a dental health project was made in five kindergartens in the district Hässleholmen. Purpose: The purpose of the survey was, by interviews with the actors involved (teachers, children, parents and the public dental service) find out the views of the project, and whether the project is relevant and should continue. Method: The method used was qualitative interviews with the actors involved in dental health project. A total of 21 interviews were then consolidated by a qualitative content analysis.

 Bakgrund: Stress är en subjektiv upplevelse som kan leda till fysisk och psykisk påfrestning. På arbetsplatsen är stress ett vanligt förekommande fenomen som ökat mycket de senaste åren. När vårdpersonal upplever stress känner de sig maktlösa och psykiskt utmattade. Stressen och dess konsekvenser påverkar även omvårdnaden och patientsäkerheten. För att hantera stressen behöver vårdpersonal hjälp.

Between 1965 and 1974, the Swedish Parliament decided to build one million dwellings, called Million Program. The million program buildings were erected with new, untried design solutions, in a short range of time, and at low cost. The residential buildings from that time are now greatly in need of renovation. The municipal housing company, Gavlega?rdarna, renovates and improves the energy efficiency at some of it?s apartment buildings in the district Sa?tra, Ga?vle.

The objective of this literature study was to describe how the school nurse can adopt the salutogenic perspective in her health promoting work. The articles were examined in order to identify what was written about the school nurse?s work from the salutogenic perspective. In parallel, Eriksson?s, Orem?s, and Newman?s nursing theories were examined from the same perspective.

Cancer is one of the most feared diseases in veterinary medicine today, and the incidence is higher than ever due to the fact that our companion animals live longer then they did ten to twenty years ago. Cancer is also one of the most common causes of mortality in older companion animals. This literature review will be about two of the currently most common form of cancer treatment of companion animals in Swedish animal hospitals, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. There will also be a section of general nursing care for cancer patients. The section of chemotherapy will describe the indications for choosing chemotherapy, the way to administrate chemotherapeutic drugs, describe specific chemotherapeutic drugs, potential side effects of chemotherapy, and how to handle and store chemotherapeutic drugs safely. The section of radiation therapy will describe the current devices for delivering radiation therapy, describe the indications for choosing radiation therapy and describe potential side effects that radiation therapy may cause.

Swedish studies have shown that more people than expected have problems with leg ulcers and that the yearly cost for treatment per patient is approximately 26 500kr. Since the elderly population is on the rise, there is a need to highlight this growing problem, to make sure that proper assessment tools are used and to improve the standard of care given to patients with leg ulcers. The aim was to show what a difference the nurse can make to patients with leg ulcers. With all types of wounds it is imperative to establish if there is any underlying reasons since certain illnesses can cause more wounds or delay the healing process. The doctor is responsible for making the diagnosis and to prescribe the correct treatment whereas the nurse?s responsibility is for the nursing care and its documentation.

Psykosociala p?frestningar ?kar hos migranter risken f?r att drabbas av psykisk oh?lsa och vid otillr?cklig kunskap leder detta till bristande bem?tande vid v?rd av migranter. Syfte: Syftet ?r att beskriva sjuksk?terskors erfarenhet av att v?rda migranter med psykisk oh?lsa fr?n annan kulturell bakgrund.

Bakgrund: Antalet patienter med hjärtsvikt kommer att öka i framtiden då fler äldre överlever en hjärtinfarkt vilket är en vanlig orsak till hjärtsvikt. Många patienter med hjärtsvikt väljer att vårdas i sitt hem vilket innebär en utmaning för distriktssköterskor i den kommunala hälso- och sjukvården. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att belysa distriktssköterskors stöd till patienter med svår hjärtsvikt som vårdas i hemmet inom kommunal hälso- och sjukvård. Metod: Genom intervjuer samlades data in från sex distriktssköterskor. Data analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys med induktiv ansats.

Due to soft grounds in combination with seasonal variation in soil humidity, there is a lack of stands that are possible to cut during spring and autumn in some geographical regions. For Holmen Skog this sometimes means that a large proportion of the contracted private forest is cut during the winter when the ground is frozen. One consequence of this is that the proportion of winter stands in the stand bank of own forest increases while spring and autumn stands becomes a scarcity. This in combination with milder winters, especially when there is a long period of reduced bearing capacity in spring or autumn, means that the situation rapidly can become critical. The overall goal with this study was to generate basic data for decision support in the work to achieve a sustainable distribution between own forest and contracted private forest in the stand bank. The study took place at Holmen Skog, district of Umeå, during autumn 2007 and was based on interviews and an analysis of harvest planning and delivery data. The study showed that there is a problem with how the cutting is distributed between own and contracted private forest during the year and that it foremost is the proportion of winter thinning of own forest that has increased in the stand bank.

The aim of this report was to investigate the economy of passive houses. The work was focused on economy in total and on the economy of different components such as windows, insulation, heat exchanger and the air tightness of the climate shell. No attention was paid on the comfort factor or to the impacts on the environment.Two houses, aspiring to be passive were chosen; A big one and a small one. Hence, comparisons considering the size of the building have been possible to do as well.The comparisons were made by calculating ?break even? between two concepts; passive and BBR- concept.

Bakgrund: Distriktssköterskor har i Sverige haft förskrivningsrätt sedan mitten av 1990-talet. Anledningen från början var att underlätta för läkarna, framför allt på landsbygden där läkartätheten var låg. Socialstyrelsen genomförde år 2000 en uppföljning av hur förskrivningsrätten användes. Författarna ville se om och/eller hur förskrivningen har förändrats samt hur förskrivningen ser ut i Sverige jämfört med andra länder. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskans erfarenheter av att förskriva läkemedel i hemsjukvården samt deras uppfattning om förskrivningsrättens framtida utveckling inom distriktssköterskeproffessionen.

Background: Individuals in pain is something that most nurses encounter on a daily basis. Chronic physical pain is often followed by psychological pain. The total effects of chronic pain are felt by the patient as well as by close ones. The findings showed that life changed radically after getting chronic pain. Individuals and closeones both had to take every day as it came, because the degree of pain was hard to predict and could worsen at any time off the day.

Arbetets ansats är öka förståelsen för vad svenska ungdomar möter när de råkat ut för en allvarlig händelse och söker professionell hjälp. Arbetet berör juridisk bakgrund, det sociala arbetets organisation och närvarande faktorer i mötet mellan socialarbetare och klient. Vidare berörs hur individen påverkas av att möta socialarbetare utifrån symbolisk interaktionism och stämplingsteorin. Genom en enkätundersökning undersöks hur stor svenska ungdomars kännedom om tystnadsplikt och anmälningsplikt är och om det finns könsskillnader i denna medvetenhet. Enkätundersökningen utgår framförallt ifrån svensk stad med cirka 30.000 invånare i kommunen.
