Vi började vårt projekt med grunderna till verktyg för att utveckla spel i 2d. Dessa ämnade vi färdigställa under projektet och med dem utveckla en speldemo. Eftersom vi hade gemensamma visioner om spelutveckling så bestämde vi oss för att samarbeta, och fokusera på våra respektive områden. Med att utveckla egna verktyg ville vi få en större förståelse för de grundläggande mekanismerna av en spelmotor och möjligheten att påverka dessa efter våra specifika behov. Det var också för att hålla koden fri från licensierade komponenter för att i framtiden kunna underlätta distribution..

I dagsläget har Sverige ett antal stora aktörer som dominerar den svenska dagligvaruhandeln. Ica, Coop, Axfood och Bergendahl har tillsammans 85 % av de totala marknadsandelarna i landet. Utvecklingen de senaste decennierna har varit att antalet butiker minskat och att antalet storvaruhus ökat. Detaljhandelns styrka har ökat de senaste åren och gör det svårt för mindre producenter att klara av att driva en lönsam verksamhet. Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur lokalproducerade livsmedelsprodukter blir en del av sortimentet i dagligvarubutiker på den lokala marknaden.

 Fortum Distribution som ingår i Fortumkoncernen ansvarar för elförsörjning till kund. Uppgiften med detta examensarbete är att skapa en applikation i syfte att visa hur man kan använda GIS (Geografiska Informationssystem) för att korta ned inställelsetiden vid strömavbrott. Den 1/1 2006 infördes en lagreglering (Ellagen, kap 10, § 9-16) om avbrottsersättning, därför vill energibolagen minska avbrottstiden så mycket som möjligt, bland annat genom att korta ned inställelsetiden. Analyser som baseras på NVDB-data, ska göras för att påvisa nyttan med GIS hos Fortum Distribution. Examensarbetet avgränsas geografiskt till Fortums Distributions koncessionsområde i Värmlands län, den del av Västra Götalands län som tidigare var Skaraborgs län samt Bergslagen. Genom att skapa en databas innehållande attribut och domäner, vägdata från NVDB samt Fortum Distributions data, läggs grunden som inställelsetiden ska beräknas från.

Purpose: When the Deepwater Horizon oilrig in the Gulf of Mexico faced disaster in late April 2010, news coverage immediately began of the disaster that would unfold. BP took the blame and its financial resources were strained as it struggled with stopping the oil leak, cleanup work as well as its PR image. While the US took many blows of the consequences to ecosystem and tourism, financial consequences swept across the world, mainly Britain, where BP had its headquarters.The event gives an excellent chance at comparing the media coverage from both the US and Britain. By studying The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times, we want to see both similarities and differences in the themes they focused on as well as seeing trends in the themes over time.Theories: The theory chapter is heavily based around the Agenda-setting theory in the media communication field.Methodology: A quantitative content analysis (QCA) of some 500 news articles in The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times from April 22 to July 15. The QCA was made to find the main theme of articles to give us data on how many articles of each theme, as well as their distribution over time.

In this thesis, two studies with different drills were included. In one of the studies two drills were compared: Väderstad Rapid and Väderstad Spirit. In the other study various drills for direct drilling were compared. The study with Rapid and Spirit was placed in two locations with different autumn tillage; one on ploughed land in Uppsala and one on cultivated land in Västerås, both with relatively high clay content. Rapid drills have a single disc coulter, while the Spirit drills have a double disc coulter. Various aspects were compared such as aggregate distribution, seed placement, emergence, crop yield and economic outcome.

The increased frequency of reported Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) is of great concern to small animal healthcare due to limited options of antimicrobial therapy. The aim of this literature study is to investigate 1) characteristics and classification of S. pseudintermedius, 2) resistance mechanisms and emergence of MRSP, 3) risk factors for selection of MRSP, and 4) clonal distribution around the world. S. pseudintermedius is a skin and mucosal commensal in healthy dogs and cats, but can cause infections, including pyoderma. Beta-lactam antibiotics inhibit bacterial growth by binding to the penicillin binding protein (PBP), a vital enzyme in the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall.

Purpose/aim: The purpose of this thesis is to examine if, and in that case how, the municipality of Umeå worked strategically with its communication during 2014 when Umeå was chosen as ?European Capital of Culture?. The research is mainly focused on the outlines of their communication plan, main goals, what  communication strategies the municipality has chosen to and their choice of media channels.Material/method: Two methods are used for this research; qualitative interviews with four employees within the communication team during Umeå2014 and a text analysis of three formal documents which provide the framework of communication policies and media strategies during Umeå2014.Results: The results clearly indicate a well structured, strategic planning outlined in the formal documents. The four people intreviewed all had a good knowledge of the policies and strategies in the documents, they also described their work in accordance with these..

The purpose of this essay is to analyze marketing in the sector of banking. The following purpose is also to make an attempt to predict how marketing of banks will be structured in the future. Banks have a central role in today?s society which is constantly changing and that is why we are curious in how banks use different marketing channels today and how and if it will change in the future. Förgiftningar hos däggdjur som druckit vatten kontaminerat med cyanotoxiner har observerats världen över, och riskerar att öka i takt med tilltagande övergödning och klimatförändringar. Denna litteraturstudie inriktar sig på mikrocystin (MC) som är det vanligaste och mest studerade cyanotoxinet. Studien avgränsar sig till akut intoxikation hos däggdjur och fokuserar på grundläggande mekanismer hos toxinet, såsom absorption, distribution, metabolism och elimination. Vidare beskrivs de toxiska mekanismerna och de akuta toxiska effekterna. MC orsakar utbredda nekroser och blödningar i levern. Den specifika distributionen till levern anses bero på det höga uttrycket av organiska anjontransportörer (OATP).

This report describes how a small, newly established business enterprise can develop a digital strategy with clear goals and practical guidelines. The report describes a digital strategy for Gelato Scarfó and shows how this strategy is made concrete through a set of guidelines. Syftet med examensarbetet är att på lång sikt minska ett företags kostnader för transport från butik till slutkonsument. För att uppnå detta syfte är följande frågeställningar besvarade i examensarbetet:Vad kostar företagets transportlösning i nuläget? Vad kostar det att anlita ett externt transportföretag för att sköta alla transporter till slutkonsument, och vad kommer att förändras, jämfört med nuläget? Vad blir kostnaden om det externa transportföretaget även tillhandahåller konsolideringspunkter, alltså en terminal för uppsamling av gods, i de städer där företaget har fler än en butik, och vad kommer att förändras, jämfört med nuläget?I examensarbetet finns ett beslutsunderlag bestående av två delar. Första delen innehåller en nulägesbeskrivning över kostnaderna för den befintliga transportlösningen. Den andra delen består av två kostnadsförslag från det externa transportföretaget.

TitleSystems, Stability and Power. The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

The distribution of work related tasks depending on gender leads to different appraisal depending on which gender is performing a task. This aim of this research is to study how gender differences influence task allocation within the restaurant industry. The study is inspired by a discourse analysis perspective complemented by constructivist and critical pragmatic theory. Interviews were conducted in two focus groups with seven participants in total. The analysis is divided into four sections which answer six discourse analytical questions using the interview material.

We are heading for a line, and its a fine one. This project is a dialogue between you and I; about the dialogue itself. The initial interest was to use literary text to address the visitor in the exhibition space. The purpose was to make man aware of its relation to others and narrative objects. I planned for the dialectical event in every descision.
