The purpose of this essay is to study the film culture in South Africa in a national cinema-context, focusing on the relationship between anti-apartheid film from 1974-1994 and the film in South Africa today. By pitching the South Africa-specific works of Lucia Saks and Jacqueline Maingard against the over-arching debate on national cinema as formulated by, amongst others, Stephen Crofts and Andrew Higson, this study aims to find whether or not a specific South African national cinema have existed, and exists today, or not. The study finds that an underground culture of documentaries and short films made by and for the black population has been in place since the apartheid, and the distribution method on video and television is still being used to reach the black population today. By re-examining the concepts of both the national, and of national cinema to also include film on video and television, the study shows that South Africa has indeed a film culture that can be called a national cinema..

The evaluation of the function of the feeding of sheep herds is suggested to involve the work effort, the fulfilment of the nutrient needs of the sheep and the feed waste. Mechanisation of the feeding can be very simple or include high degrees of mechanisation. Three different farms, representing different levels of mechanisation are presented. Descriptions and analysis of the feeding systems including mechanisation, work effort and estimations of the feed waste are made on each farm. The herd with the most advanced feed mechanisation included a rolling feed band and mix wagon. The other farms were partly or little mechanised including ad lib feeding from big bales and manual distribution of hay and concentrates. The most mechanised farm was able to feed a large herd of sheep at a low work effort and little feed waste. However, the investment in machinery has to be weighed against the improved efficiency.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether the concept of permanent establishment, as defined in Article 5 of the OECD Model Tax Convention on Income and Capital, is applicable to electronic commerce and if so whether the current definition is able to appropriately deal with the challenges of electronic commerce.In 2003, the OECD added a new section to the Commentary on the Model Tax Convention on Article 5. The new section is a clarification on the application of the permanent establishment definition in electronic commerce.The current definition of permanent establishment in the Model Tax Convention relies on the physical presence of a foreign corporation as the threshold for source taxation. While the current definition, prima facie, might be applicable on electronic commerce, the highly mobile nature of electronic commerce might affect the current revenue distribution equilibrium between states..

Undersökningen behandlar problem som tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat kring användandet av standarden XMI. XMI är avsedd för utbyte av modeller mellan modelleringsverktyg. Problem som uppmärksammats i användningen av XMI är att information om modeller inte alltid utbyts korrekt mellan verktyg. Detta kan resultera i att viktig information om modellerna går förlorad.Undersökningen har till syfte att undersöka huruvida det är möjligt att extrahera data från modeller sparade i XMI-format utan tillgång till DTD eller XML-schema. En sådan möjlighet skulle kunna användas för att rädda information om modeller som annars skulle gå förlorad.Den metod som har används för undersökningen är litteraturstudie, experiment och implementation samt hypotesprövning.

The goal with this master thesis has been to evaluate and to examine the stationary resistance bridge. The resistance bridge uses a 4-point measuring to determinate the resistance, which is used in the manufacturing of the conductor. It is then used when the resistance is to be decided for coarser aluminium conductors. A conductor has to fulfil certain demands to be able to move forward in the process. One of these demands is the resistance in ohm/km, which has demands that the measure values of the resistance bridge are as true and precise as possible. The stationary resistance bridge had been examined through various kinds of measurements to be able to see how stable the system is and how to obtain a measure value as optimized as possible.

Att ha kontroll över informationen och se till att denna är korrekt är numera en förutsättning för att kunna bedriva en effektiv verksamhet. Utöver detta kräver en effektiv organisation även att man har kontroll och överblick över de processer vilka finns i organisationen.Dessa processer måste kunna beskrivas och åskådliggöras för att på så sätt kunna se vart informationen skapas och om detta är ett bra tillvägagångssätt.För att kunna göra detta har jag således studerat litteratur kring information och informationssystem för att på så sätt kunna redogöra för hur data bör hanteras för att kunna omvandlas till korrekt och bra information vilken kan användas såsom beslutsunderlag. Utöver detta har litteratur kring processbeskrivningar studerats för att på ett så korrekt sätt som möjligt kunna åskådliggöra de processer vilka finns i organisationen. Med detta som grund kunde sedan organisationen studeras för att finna problem i hanteringen och skapandet utav data och information.Aller Tryck AB uttryckte tidigt ett önskemål om att erhålla en processbeskrivning över sin produktion och de informationsflöden vilka kan synliggöras här. De efterfrågade även en kontroll utav den data vilken ligger till grund för mycket av arbetet i produktionen och dennes planering.En processbeskrivning gjordes således samt att en fallstudie genomfördes för att kunna påvisa de faktorer vilka påverkar den data vilken misstänktes för att vara inkorrekt.Resultatet påvisade stora brister i mätmetoderna och hanteringen av denna information.

The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to get an understanding of what is expected of social workers targeted towards women managers in social services. Nine social workers were interviewed. The empirical data was then analyzed on the basis of gender theory. Respondents did not see their supervisor as a manager but more as a social worker with special tasks. Our empirical data indicates that there is a strong belief that men and women possess different properties.

On commission of the County administrative board in Värmland County a method was developed for analysis of the occurrence of artificial land use at lakes and watercourses. With artificial land use is meant land significantly affected by man. Two bases have been used to carry out the analysis. In one of the analysis the vegetation database and in the other GSD¹-Marktäckedata (land cover data) was used (this method has been used by County administrative board in Jönköping County).The analysis comprises all watercourses within Alsterälven river basin. The digital water bodies are created by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute on the basis of GSD-Översiktskartan (general map).

In order to obtain our raw data, interviews with staff from Swedbank and IKANO bank were conducted.

Detta examensarbete behandlar problemet med att testa inbyggda system i kontorsmiljö. För att göra detta och därigenom kunna göra anrop på det inbyggda systemets API, måste detta anrop skickas som ett seriellt datapaket över en seriell kommunikationslänk som TCP/IP.Detta möjliggjordes genom att först upprätta en kommunikationslänk med protokollet TCP/IP, där användningen av POSIX-sockets tillämpades. För att packa ner och packa upp funktionsanropen till seriell data implementerades ett protokoll som följdes när detta utfördes. Hantering av data i samband med överföring över TCP/IP sköttes av ett protokoll vid namn BGSFP, ett protokoll som bygger på det tidigare protokollet TSFP..

Problem Hur fungerar dagens kylkedja för den utvalda frysta produkten? Vilka skillnader finns mellan av företagen beskriven, och faktisk kylkedja? Kan Bioetts system förenkla kvalitetsarbetet i dagens kylkedjor? Kan Bioetts system visualisera brister i dagens kylkedjor?Syfte Syftet är uppdelat i tre olika områden: Dels skall det undersökas huruvida Bioetts system kan säkerställa en obruten kylkedja för den frysta produkten, dels skall en studie påvisa om det finns skillnader i av aktörerna beskriven kylkedja, och den faktiska kylkedjan. Till sist skall en hypotetisk modell presenteras för hur Bioetts system kan utformas för att erhålla så mycket nyttig information som möjligt ur systemet.Metod Fallstudien kommer att ha en utgångspunkt i att vara kvantitativ genom att ingångsdatan består av statistik i form av avläsningar från Bioetts system. Dock har projektet breddats genom insamling av kvalitativ information. Insamlingen av denna empiriska data har genomförts genom halvstrukturerade intervjuer med respondenter från aktörer i försörjningskedjan, samt genom egna observationer av inre flödestider.Slutsatser Studien påvisar att kylkedjan för den frysta produkten inte förblir obruten under distributionen.
