This report covers the conceptual design of a new one person hybrid vehicle that is to be fast and convenient to drive on the roads. The vehicle is most of all supposed to be used as a commute vehicle but can also be used at other occasions as well.During the work with this project the group has focused on three larger areas, the outer design (body), wheel chassis and an ergonomically designed interior. The group was not able to just create these parts in 3D to get a trustworthy vehicle, hence number of other components and details were also created to get a better entirety.The outer design starts with idea generation and sketches and ends with a 3D model which is rendered to show how the final product is going to look. The design of the body has been going on during the entire work process due to new ideas and improvements that seemed interesting and had to be changed.The wheel chassis also started with idea generation, research and sketches. It ended up with a simulated 3D model which later on was mounted on the vehicle body to show how the vehicle is going to perform during usage.

The gas turbines in the Swedish secondary reserve are reaching the end of their technical lifetime, hence alternative solutions need to be considered. One of the solutions thought to have the greatest potential is the use of so called consumptionreduction. By entering contracts with large consumers, agreements are made to reduce consumption in the event of major disturbances in the power system and thus being used as a secondary reserve. This thesis investigates the feasibility of consumption reduction as part of the secondary reserve. This has been achieved by developing a requirement specification for the disturbance reserve and by studying the technical and economic potential for consumption reduction among a range of consumers.The technical potential for consumption reduction that fulfils the requirements for participating in the secondary reserve are on average 750 MW in SE 3 and 98 MW in SE 4.

Efter genomförd studie drar vi slutsatsen att de teoretiska ekonomiska modellerna som används i en fundamental analys svårt kan appliceras på en så kort period som en månad efter terrordådet den11 september 2001. Vi konstaterar också att marknaden under denna period präglades av ett stort mått av psykologi. Variablerna branschtillhörighet, företagsstorlek, betavärde, p/e-tal, soliditet och internationell exponering ger inget underlag för utformandet av en portfölj för att gardera sig mot framtida extrema globala händelser. Slutligen presenterar vi våra råd för en aktieplacerare som vill gardera sig mot kraftiga nedgångar till följd av någon sorts extrem global händelse, sk event risk: ? Genom en väldiversifierad portfölj undgår man att drabbas av extrema nedgångar.? Aktieägande ska ses på lång sikt.? Då det i praktiken för gemene man torde vara svårt att nyttja en nedgång på grund av enoväntad event för en placering och ett snabbt klipp på aktiemarknaden synes det bästarådet för en privatperson vara att köpa aktier och fondandelar regelbundet under en långtidsperiod och följaktligen undvika mycket kortsiktig spekulation enligt citatet:- When in Doubt Stay Out!? Enligt event risk teorin bör en aktieplacerare vara medveten om risken med blankning vidextrema händelser.? Vår undersökning ger vid handen att den fundamentala aktieanalysen inte har storbetydelse på kort sikt, utan ska ses som en del av en långsiktig strategi när man väljeraktier till sin portfölj.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate different ways of illustrating the information literacy of librarians and with a pragmatic view survey what has been written about marketing the librarians. The thesis is based on a marketing theory introduced by Philip Kotler. He believes that marketing is a social process and that everything can be marketed. I have reviewed three marketing strategies and their significance in marketing the information literacy of librarians.

In order to reduce the price for, and improve the performance of automatic control systems for magnetization of synchronus generators, the possibilities of using a PC based software PLC system, Programmable Logic Controller, has been investigated. The result is a system based on the CoDeSys software PLC with runtime environment from 3S-Software, communicating with external units via Modbus fieldbus. System price is reduced from ?5000 to ?2000 and system processing speed is reduced from 10 ms for a Siemens S7 PLC to 4 ms with the CoDeSys PLC system though unsolved problems with runtime seizure caused by improper settings in the PC BIOS..

Today's Swedish large-scale forestry uses almost exclusively computer-aided bucking. It allows the harvester computer, using an optimisation price list (steering price list), to maximize the value of each tree. The optimisation price list can be adjusted so that the industry gets the raw material it demands from the forest. There are various simulation programs that can be used when constructing a optimisation price list. The simulation program merchandise a database of stem shapes using a given price list and mimics a harvester's work. To get the demanded raw material for the industry it is important to use a well-adjusted optimisation price list.

The competitive nature of the automotive industry has always implied a necessity to improve product development concerning time-to-market, cost and product quality. As capacity of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools has evolved, so has the strive for simulation-driven design. Virtual durability testing using full vehicle models is one of many challenges posed in front of vehicle manufacturers when computer simulations are given a key role in product development.This thesis has been initiated as a preliminary step towards implementing dynamic virtual durability testing in the development of buses and coaches at Scania. The objective has been to assess the predictability of a full vehicle coach model and to what level of precision structural loads can be predicted. Previously performed proving ground testing of a Scania Touring coach has been the basis for the modelling and simulations in this thesis.A virtual model of the Scania Touring coach has been created in multi-body simulation software package MSC.Adams.

Cache simulator is a tool to increase the understanding of a cache memory. Therefore cache memory simulation is included in the course Computer Engineering IS1200 at the Royal Institution of Technology. The purpose of this project is to develop a cache memory simulator for education. The existing MipsIt and Mips Simulator which is currently used in IS1200 has been the main source of inspiration. This resulted in the development of the cache memory simulator LMSim.

SYFTE: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka huruvida uttalanden från Världshälsoorganisationen, gällande första händelsen av att vild¬fågel, hönsfågel eller människa blivit smittad av H5N1 i ett land, har bidragit till abnormala prisrörelser hos aktuellt lands noterade företag med hönsfågelrelaterad verksamhet.METOD: Undersökningen är en event-studie där aktiekurers utveckling har undersökts vid informationshändelser rörande fågelinfluensan. För att estimera en jämförande normal avkastning har vi använt oss av en kombinerad OLS- och ARMA-modellering.TEORETISKT PERSPEKTIV: Den effektiva marknadshypotesen är den grundläggande teorin som använts för att analysera insamlad empiri, som även tillsammans med andra studier inom samma ämnesområde utgör det använda teoretiska ramverket.EMPIRI: 19 informationshändelsers påverkan på aktiekurser har analyse¬rats för att estimera normal och abnormal avkastning. Dessa 19 aktiekurser härstammar från 18 olika företag, belägna i sju olika länder.SLUTSATSER: Undersökningens resultat tyder på att undersökta företags aktiepriser inte påverkats nämnvärt av WHO:s uttalande om att H5N1-viruset spritt sig till respektive företags land. Because of increasing demand of power on Malmbanan the capacity of the existing wires which supply the trains must be increased. This increases the stress on the existing poles and for this reason the system for supplying the loads along the railway is to be removed from the poles and be replaced by some other system. This thesis is a study on a two-level low voltage (1 kV and 0.4 kV) electrical system with the aim to investigate if it can be an alternative to the system used today taking into account the voltages, fault currents and costs.In this thesis the following tasks have been performed:? Gathering of data? Description of basic theory? Loadow and fault current calculations of the system with MATLAB? Life Cycle Cost estimate of the system? Analysis and conclusions from the resultsThe results show that the new system can be an alternative to replace today's system. The simulations and calculations show that the voltage drop is at an acceptable level and that the fault currents are large enough to supply a safe disconnection if a fault occurs at the far end of the system..

Today the human being see energy as a matter of course but the resources that is used for extract energy is today not enough for the world demand. Of all the energy that is used in Sweden today approximately 40 % goes to the building stock. This number will most likely increase if not necessary actions will be made on the already existing building stock since new houses constantly are built which will be added up on the already existing energy supply. This takes cause of action on the already existing building stocks, to fulfill the demands of the future use of energy that has been set by the authority. At the same time the thermal conditions cannot be influenced by the necessary changes that must be made.

Heavy duty vehicles often have problems with traction during the winter periods. For vehicles that can lift tag axles it is possible to increase the normal force on the driven axle by lifting one or more tag axles, this will then increase the propulsive force of friction. This however increases wear on both road and vehicle. A possibility to reduce the wear while achieving nearly equivalent traction compared to lifted tag axles is to allow the vehicle to regulate the normal force by lowering the pressure in the air suspension associated with the tag axles or by the lifting of these axles. The vehicle would then by itself be able to set just the right amount of normal force on the drive wheels to avoid unnecessarily high normal forces while maintaining sufficient traction.The purpose of the report is to find out which parameters affect heavy duty vehicles when driving on slippery slopes and how traction can be improved.
