The aim of this study was to examine the social relationships between children and librarians during reference interviews. Using qualitative interviews with five children's librarians I illustrate attitudes and behaviours during a reference situation which take place in psychological, social and even in pedagogical contexts. The literature review comprises studies of the reference interview with children and youth, a description of interpersonal communication and finally social interaction and dialog between teachers and pupils. The main result of this study was the demonstration of a dichotomy in modes of interpersonal communication. In one mode, the social frame is emphasized.

Studien kartlägger vanliga adjektivliknelser i svenska bloggtexter ur två aspekter, vilka adjektiv och substantiv som förekommer tillsammans i konstruktionen ADJEKTIV som en/ett SUBSTANTIV samt deras grad av konventionalisering. Tidigare forskning visar att liknelser är svårdefinierade, vilket tas upp i bakgrunden. Materialet är hämtat från fem korpusar med svensk bloggtext. Resultaten visar att de vanligaste adjektivliknelserna föredrar att knyta an till ett eller några substantiv. Däremot finns det visst utrymme för produktivitet.

As in society in general, exclusion of individuals takes place in the school system. Even though schools ? according to the curriculum ? are supposed to cherish diversity, many children are left outside of the community formed during school activities. In order to gainknowledge of how schools can prevent and inhibit exclusion, this work aims to study how the problem is interpreted and managed. The study included six pedagogues: three pre-school teachers and three 1?7th grade teachers.

En god arbetsmiljö kan anses vara nyckeln till en välfungerande verksamhet. Arbetsmiljö som begrepp är dock oerhört komplext där många olika problemaspekter samverkar och påverkar arbetsplatsens miljö. Vissa arbetsmiljörelaterade problem kan härröras till egenskaper som inte tillåter individen att utnyttja sina kognitiva förmågor och benämns därmed som kognitiva arbetsmiljöproblem. Andra faktorer som tekniska arbetsverktyg som skall vara de anställda behjälpliga, kan i de fall de brister, också påverka och störa tankeprocesserna hos individen. Den här rapportens syfte är att utveckla en förståelse om hur komplexa arbetsmiljöer samt interaktion med teknik kan skapa en stress som i förlängningen kan leda till kognitiva arbetsmiljöproblem och teknikstress.

Personal branding is a common phenomenon within the Swedish business world, although less applied on the competitive and fast paced music industry. In order to strengthen Swedish artists' personal brands and to ensure congruence between the artists' presented identities and the target audiences' perceived images, we have developed a model, containing of seven essential factors. The seven Dimensions authenticity, credibility, certainty, openness, availability, awareness and timeliness help improve strength when communicating brand identity, as well as minimizing potential discrepancy between identity and image. This report examines the brand strategies within the Swedish music industry through a case study of Sweden's largest pop star, Eric Saade, where Team Saade's communicated identity is compared to the targets audience's perceived image of Saade. Overall, Saade's personal brand has a high level of congruence, except from the clarity Dimension, where his words are considered differing from his actions.

I uppsatsen studeras representationen av William Shakespeares pjäs Hamlet i affischsammanhang. Ett antal Hamletaffischer från 1900-talet framtill 2008 beskrivs, tolkas och analyseras. Fokus ligger främst på det aktuella anslaget från 2008 års produktion på Dramaten i Stockholm. Bakgrunden innehåller kortare teoriavsnitt om klassisk och visuell retorik, bildstruktur, semiotik samt affischens historia och roll i dag. En kortare beskrivning av pjäsens handling ger en naturlig ingång till den kortare presentationen av samtliga affischer som följer.

From January 1st 2011 the use of Eurocode will be mandatory for all constructionprojects. The main purpose of this study is to examine if variations in voter turnout for the European Parliament elections in each member state is affected by the rate of national party polarization on the EU-Dimension of party politics. The theoretical background assumes that a high level of polarization generates higher voter turnout since more alternatives are presented to the electorate. This makes it easier for the electorate to find a party that represents their preferences. This will, in turn, increase the likelihood that they will participate in the election.This study uses a research design based on a quantitative analysis with data from each member state, except those with compulsory voting, in the European Parliament elections of 2004 and 2009. The results of the analysis indicate a relationship between high levels of party polarization and lower turnout in the European Parliament election.

I det här arbetet har jag undersökt hur man kan använda en skönlitterär roman och en underhållningsfilm i ämnesintegrerad undervisning i syfte att uppnå målen i svenska och historia på gymnasiet. Som underlag för mitt arbete har jag använt Steven Spielbergs Schindler´s list och Jan Guillous Vägen till Jerusalem. Min undersökning bygger på en tolkning av styrdokumentens intentioner, samt svensk- och historielärares åsikter om mediernas användbarhet i ämnesintegrerad undervisning. Undersökningen visade att lärare uppfattade filmens och romanens integrationsmöjligheter som mycket väl användbara i syfte att uppnå kursmålen, vilka i sin tur tydligt uttryckte en gemensam nämnare mellan svenska och historia, det vill säga som identitetsskapande. Vidare återfanns förenande element så som en historisk Dimension, en kritisk medvetenhet och språket som medium för kommunikation.

The aim of this masters thesis is to analyze how subjects of ethnographical objects should be described. To obtain this we focus on which subject aspects of ethnographical objects that could be possible and valuable to analyze and to index. This is done with the help of established LIS subject indexing theories, and through the perspective of ethnographical museum documentation. The theories are both general, concerning the stages of subject indexing, and more specific, regarding the indexing of pictures. One of the latter is the theoretical model of Sara Shatford, from the article Analyzing the Subject of a Picture.

Operationssjuksköterskan träffar dagligen patientersom ska genomgå någon form av kirurgi. Många patienter upplever rädsla och oroi den perioperativa perioden där operationssjuksköterskan har som uppgift attskapa en tillitsfull relation och vara ett stöd för patienten. Humor har visatsig ha en positiv inverkan på interaktionen mellan patient och vårdare. Syfte: Att sammanställa kunskap om hur patientenoch sjuksköterskan kan uppleva humor i omvårdnaden och hur humor kan användassom ett kommunikationsredskap. Metod: Metodenvar litteraturstudie.

The names of railway stations and halts along the earliest railway lines on Lithuanian territory have been studied, i.e. along those railway lines built between 1861 and 1873. Especially, attention has been drawn to names that are not obvious regarding the geographical location of the station or halt. Some 50 percent of the names are showing some kind of irregularity in this respect. Most common (about 30 examples) are stations or halts that are serving a population centre situated at some distance from the station, but still bearing the name of that population centre.

With the purpose of finding the motives behind use, production and reuse of Open Educational Resources (OER), the writer has conducted a qualitative survey. The three main questions in this two years master?s thesis are:? Why do people use others? unmodified OER?? Why do people produce OER?? Why do people alter and reuse OER?The theoretic framework is built around Manuel Castells? network society, with its social and efficiency seeking Dimension, along with the Knowledge commons. Some pedagogy is included as well.A web survey was distributed to 796 users of the Connexions OER repository. 95 responses were received.

According to law all Swedish authorities must express themselves using correct, plain and comprehensible language whenever they communicate with the citizens in order to make it easy to understand what needs to be known to participate in the Swedish democratic society. I would like to explore if there are more tools than the language that could be used to make their communication easier to comprehend, in this case images and stories. In this essay I will investigate the relationship between the written words and the visual components ? images and illustrations ? in brochures from Swedish authorities. I will also try to identify possible narratives in the brochures, and examine the functions of these narratives.

Det ska byggas två höga trähus med loftgångar på Sandåkern i Umeå. Tyréns AB samarbetar med Martinsons AB och Murman arkitekter i detta projekt.Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att beräkna om balkarna för loftgångarna i de två husen håller för belastningen. Att se till att balkarna håller när träet blir fuktigt samt räkna på att den ljuddämpande akustikplattan inte vidarebefordrar stom- och vibrationsljuden från loftgångarnaResultatet visar att den tilltänkta balken har en korrekt Dimension med hänsyn till lasterna den utsätts för. Den tänkta akustikplattan på 25 mm räcker för att dämpa de stom- och vibrationsljud som uppstår. För att klara fuktkraven så krävs det att takpappen, som balken är monterad under, håller tätt.
