Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how travel companies have adapted to a digital society and how they use the Internet as a marketing channel.Problem: How have current travel companies adapted to the development of the Internet and how do they use Internet as a marketing channel? Are there any differences in the marketing strategies of different types of travel companies and does the clientele have any impact on the selected marketing method?Method:  This study has been formed by a qualitative approach. Interviews have been conducted with employees at different travel companies across Sweden. The qualitative approach has been chosen to create a deeper understanding and give a broader knowledge to our study.Conclusion: Companies today use the Internet as one of their primary marketing channels, these are mainly websites and social media. The companies agree that aligning themselves after a digital society and new innovations is key to compete in the market.

Magnetiskresonanstomografi, MRI, är en användbar teknik inom flera områden, i denna uppsats ligger fokus på användning inom medicin. Fysiken som ligger bakom MRI presenteras, som t ex uppdelning av energinivåer och kärnmagnetiskresonans. Uppbyggnad och tekniken som ligger bakom MRI har även studeras. Sedan har det gjorts jämförelse mellan MRI, röntgen och datortomografi. Utöver litteraturstudierna har simulering gjorts. I denna del har en modell för hjärnan byggts i programmet Comsol Multiphysics.

Problem solving is a big part of design, however a lot of emphasis is put on creativity in research related to the effects of stress. Research has shown that the amount of stress we feel affects idea generation. Stress may also affect the ability to solve problems, however the researchers don?t seem to agree about what the effect of stress actually does.The study was made through experimental sessions where the respondents were asked to solve 4 matchstick puzzles of similar difficulty. Depending on their outcome they experienced more or less stress.

Samhällets digitalisering innebär stora möjligheter till spridning och återbruk av informationsamtidigt som digitala klyftor skapas. Bland de medborgare som inte till fullo anammat den nyatekniken återfinns en stor grupp äldre, något som påverkar dessa individers möjligheter till en höglivskvalité i form av delaktighet, oberoende och god rörlighet. En aspekt i detta sammanhang äräldres möjligheter att åka kollektivt och på egen hand planera och genomföra resor, något somförutsätter en god tillgång till och förståelse av kollektivtrafikinformation. Föreliggandeexamensarbete avser här att belysa kognitiva effekter av det skifte i interaktionsmiljön som sker närkollektivtrafikens tids- och linjeinformation digitaliseras. Studien baserar sig på en situerad ansats tillmänniskans kognition, ett teoretiskt perspektiv som innebär att tänkandet baserar sig påmultimodala konceptuella erfarenheter.

Flertalet nutida medier innehåller datorgenererad tredimensionell grafik. Intresset och efterfrågan för denna typ av grafik, har gett upphov till utvecklandet av åtskilliga datorprogram. Programmen innehåller oftast en eller flera integrerade renderingsmotorer. Studien jämför renderingsmotorerna Mental Ray och V-Ray genom att diskutera deras skillnader i renderingstider, användarvänlighet och renderingskvalitet, vid simulering av realistiskt ljus. Det praktiska arbetet utfördes genom att rendera samma 3D-miljö med de två olika renderingsmotorerna.

Detta examensarbete är en undersökning av digitala läromedel i slöjd, då främst ur ett träslöjdsperspektiv. Arbetet genomförs som ett gestaltande arbete. Detta innebär att arbetet består av två delar, förutom den skriftliga delen har jag även skapat ett anat material i form av ett digitalt läromedel som kan användas i slöjdsalen vid träslöjdsundervisning. Därför består arbetet av två delar, en skriftlig del och en digital instruktionsfilm. Instruktionsfilmen består av både rörliga och fasta bilder i ett bildspel. Min avsikt med arbetet är att bidra till utveckling av undervisning i ämnet slöjd.

2014 is a special year in Sweden: for the first time elections to the European parliament and the national elections coincides, creating a"Super election year". This year has also seen the rebirth of an old way of campaigning: door-to-door canvassing. For the first time in 50 years the two biggest political parties, the Social Democrats and the Moderate Party, have decided to create a campaign based on personal meetings with the voters in their own home. To investigate this old-new way of campaigning, this study presents an overview of the history of door-to-door canvassing in Sweden and the research in political marketing associated with the phenomena. Based on that, a new model is constructed to help analyze and map the Swedish canvassing-campaigns.

This essay examines middle school students? understanding of a text read aloud to them in English and the connection between the degree of listening comprehension and the expected increase of vocabulary throughout middle school. The same listening comprehension test was carried out in grades 4, 5 and 6 in a middle school in order to survey differences in English listening comprehension in regard to the ability to reproduce the content of an oral text. The result shows that there was a progression from level to level when it comes to comprehension and the number of words reproduced and that this progression was most noticeable between grades 4 and 5..

The purpose of this thesis was to find out what experiences teachers have from using a class blog in teaching. What are the advantages and disadvantages by the use of blogs in education?I have used qualitative interviews with four teachers in grades 1 to 6 who have worked with a class blog in teaching between one and three years.The study has shown that teachers' experience is that the blog serves as motivation and promotes learning for many different pupils and that, together with other digital tools is more equal. The main benefits that teacher mention is the expanded concept of text that offers multiple forms of expression and the authentic reader, which makes it more real, important and meaningful. Other benefits that come up are that it helps students to see their learning and learn from and with each other.

The technical progress during the last ten years has ledto a democratization of music production. The amateur musicians of today can produce highquality music on their laptops and later distribute it via free music sites. MySpace andYouTube are two of the biggest sites for this free distribution and is therefore my main choiseof study.The purpose of this essay was to find out how and if these changes have made a difference formusicians without a record deal to reach an audience by themselves.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to survey what personal encounter at the library can signify, and to examine Swedish public libraries? policies for personal encounter. The posed questions are: What does personal encounter at the library signify? How are users and library staff represented in the collected policies? What do the policies say about digital encounter? 290 e-mail queries were sent to Swedish public libraries in May 2010. Of 140 responses, 107 stated that they did not have a written policy on personal encounter.

Money by definition is always a subjective human creation. Because of this it is unavoidablethat the physical and mental structure of a specific money system will have an effect on thesociety where it is circulating. With this fact as a starting point, the thesis is analysing whetherthe Swedish national currency, the crown, is consistent with a sustainable development. Theaim of the analysis is to: (a) identify the major shortcomings of the infrastructure of the crownin relation to its ability to support a sustainable development, (b) evaluate what possiblesolutions there are at hand to adjust for the shortcomings.
