Digital signage i butikshyllan - Kan interaktivitet skapa ytterligare en dimension av pÄverkan vid köpbeslutet

Interactive media is constantly increasing in our surroundings and with the innovation of touch-screens, two-way communication with screens has become part of our daily life. Still, this well known way of process information is not often seen in the in-store environment of grocery retailing. Here, interactive media is an unestablished field where empirical studies are invisible within the academic world. The lack of knowledge in which effect interactive digital signage has is one of the barriers of investing in this marketing solution in-store. The main purpose of this study is to examine and describe the effects of interactive digital signage at shelf within grocery retailing.

Analoga och digitala verktyg i svensk?mnets skrivundervisning

The purpose of this study is to investigate how twelve middle school teachers use educational tools and what influences their choice of educational tools in Swedish language writing instruction. To answer this purpose, three research questions were formulated: What does writing instruction look like for middle school students according to the teachers in the study? What influences teachers' choice and use of educational tools in writing instruction? What opportunities and challenges do teachers experience in Swedish language writing instruction when using different educational tools? Twelve teachers from variously sized municipalities and with different experiences participated in the study through purposive sampling and convenience sampling. The chosen method is qualitative semi-structured teacher interviews. To analyse the results, this study employs analytical tools from the sociocultural perspective, using concepts such as mediation, appropriation, the zone of proximal development, and scaffolding. The results show that both analogue and digital tools are used in the teachers' writing instruction. The choice of tools should be based on pedagogical considerations, with an emphasis on social interaction and collaboration during the learning process.

"Man fÄr bara hÀnga pÄ tÄget" - En studie om lÀrares reflektioner kring arbetet med begreppet digital kompetens i skolans verksamhet idag och i framtiden

BAKGRUND: Bakgrunden beskriver det förÀndrade kunskapsbehov som samhÀllet nu genomgÄr och hur lÀrare i skolans verksamhet hanterar och förhÄller sig till detta. Kritiskt förhÄllningssÀtt, elevernasmedieanvÀndning och begrÀnsningar som kan förekomma Àr andra delar som behandlas.SYFTE: Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka hur sju lÀrare i Ärskurs 4-6 tolkar begreppet digital kompetens och hur de arbetar med digital kompetens i sin undervisning. Ett bisyfte Àr att undersöka om lÀrarna tror att de kommande styrdokumentens riktlinjer kring digitalkompetens kommer att förÀndra deras undervisning, och i sÄ fall pÄvilket sÀtt.METOD: Metoderna som anvÀnts i studien Àr self report och delvis strukturerade intervjuer. Vi valde att lÀmna ut vÄra self reports först för att lÄta respondenterna associera fritt angÄende begreppet digitalkompetens utan pÄverkan frÄn oss. NÀr vi samlat in svaren formulerade vi individuella frÄgor utifrÄn dessa och följde sedan uppdem med delvis strukturerade intervjuer för att fÄ en fördjupad kunskap om lÀrarnas Äsikter.RESULTAT: Studien visar att lÀrare Àr positivt instÀllda till att integrera digitala medier i undervisningen.

The case study we conducted describes market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV. The purpose of this study is to find out what hinders potential entrants from entering the market as well as to discuss possible competitive strategies for potential entrants. Our conclusion is that even though the market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV can be viewed as attractive due to its fast growth, there are barriers to entry that block companies we identified as potential entrants from entering the market. The industry experience of the current market players (Teracom and Boxer) along with their knowledge of the consumers and the fact that Teracom is a multi-business company are some of the factors to be taken into consideration. Switching costs is the most important barrier to entry for the industry.

Ett förlorat kulturarv? : Digitala personarkiv ? problem, lösningar och framtid

This thesis has focused on digital born personal archives; how they are different from analog paper archives and possible ways to overbridge these differences. It is also studied how archivists and librarians are dealing with digital archives, what they think about new proactive solutions when collecting private papers and collections and positive and negative effects with this way to work. The thesis is delimitated to only private collections and digital created material. It do not concern digitized material or electronic documents in government or business organizations.The challenges in digital curation and administration are discussed in aspect of the Records Continuum Model. The empirical material is also put in relation to research in Personal Information Management and identity theory.

UPPBYGGNADEN AV DET DIGITALA BIBLIOTEKET PÅ ISLAND

Close to the city center of Reykjavik lies the combined national- and university library of Iceland. Usually, these two types of institutions are separated. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the library in fact selects the new digital material to offer the users in Iceland, and if the combined mission creates any problems or conflicts.The investigation examines the planning and the content of the digital library, what user groups are addressed and how the organisation is held together despite the different missions. If cultural context in Iceland makes a difference for what is selected and offered to the users is also discussed.Six informants in strategic library positions dealing with the digital national- or university library, were interviewed. The answers have been analysed in light of the library&information literature on building and maintaining digital library collections and organizational and marketing theory.The main result of the study is that the informants do not see a conflict between the missions of the organisation, although traces of a struggle were found in some areas.

This thesis examines source criticism and critical thinking among upper secondary school students in social science in three different schools in Sweden. Our particular focus lies in investigating the student's critical thinking skills and evaluation of digital sources when they work independently with different projects. How do students value and sort the information they find? We looked furthermore at what factors that may influence students in their evaluation of sources. Moreover, the purpose of this thesis to investigate how the student's critical thinking skills can be used as tools to become more information literate in a learning context.

Digital kompetens : för individens frigörelse eller för marknadens behov?

Eskilstuna Folkhögskola is located in Munktellstaden in Eskilstuna. The school has two separate buildings with entrances that are difficult to find. By having two separate buildings, and to be in an area where there are rules and guidelines for the area's environment, makes it difficult to guide visitors to the school premises.The purpose of my research was to examine how to guide visitors to the school, and how to increase understanding that the school's various buildings are connected.Through practices such as site analysis, interviews, I found that the guidelines are not adapted to the current situation that is established in the district.Through theory and empirical material I have produced a design proposal to facilitate Wayfinding to Eskilstuna Folkhögskola. Gymnasieelevers digitala (o)kompetens inom ordbehandling

Allt fler skolor satsar pÄ digitalisering och köper in egna datorer till eleverna. I samband med detta stÀlls det krav pÄ eleverna att de skall kunna hantera tekniken och vara digitalt komp-etenta. Digital kompetens ses som en viktig del för elever att besitta och för att fungera i vÄrt samhÀllsliv. Detta Àr dock ingenting som skolan vi studerat frÀmjar dÄ de inte bidrar till en ökad digital kompetens hos eleverna. Det finns forskare som dÀremot anser att det Àr i skolan som eleverna bör fÄ sin digitala kompetens.

The aim of this thesis is to make a contribution to the field of design oriented theory, regarding young children and their way to digital competence. My research question is: How can a preschool with a certain pedagogical ICT-design give the children affordances for media play and for developing a digital competence?The European Parliament points out digital literacy as one of the Key Competences for life long learning. Utveckling och konstruktion av vÀxellÄda för elektroniskt styrda stÀlldon

The task of constructing a transmission has been provided to us by Digital Engineering, which is a company located in Hovmantorp. After meeting with Digital Engineering we started immediately with the brainstorming to find different ideas with pen and paper. After having presented a number of concepts for the company, we had finally chosen a winner. For the gearbox to be able to work in a good way the tension must never exceed the strain limit of the material. A prototype of the gearbox was produced by TKB Modell.
