Many social services cases have been reviewed in the media during the last years. One of those cases is ?Lasse and Karin?, handled by the Social Services in Oskarshamn in 2002. Lasse and Karin had their son taken into custody by the Social Services and the case was reviewed in national media. Through this case the Social Services received much attention, of which most was negative, and their handling of the case was greatly criticized.

I Sverige har kommuner gjort stora satsningar na?r det ga?ller digital teknik, dock a?r det fa? skolor som lyckats integrera tekniken med la?randet pa? ett bra sa?tt. Almost all Swedes today have access to the Internet, if not through the home then via the library or work. Despite this, around 20% of the population stand outside the information society in that they lack in knowledge, assistive usability tools or positive attitude towards technology and its influence on society. The main factors influencing the digital divide in today's society are age, disability and education, while the main reason for staying outside seems to be disinterest.The question about digital inclusion is important as we now stand on the breaking-point between a society where the industry has had a prominent position for private as well as national economy and a digital society where access to the Internet is no longer about prestige, but where significant differences between users' knowledge levels can create a power gap. Gaps in access and use not only reflects already existing socio-economic conditions, but can also maintain and enhance these.It is crucial for the future expansion of Internet usage how today's non-users feel about becoming users. To understand what underlies the motivations not to use computers is one of the keys to get non-users to embrace becoming users.

Syftet är att försöka förstå vilka och teoretiskt belysa hur elever och lärarstudenter har lärt sig att behärska och utvecklat digitala mediekompetenser och -färdigheter. Undersökningsmetoden är källanalys och deltagande observation av tre genomförda skolutvecklingsprojekt i temagruppen Film och medier i lärarutbildning och skolutveckling inom Ung Kommunikation under tidsperioden hösten år 2007 till och med våren år 2009. Det är en kvalitativt genomförd kunskapsredovisning av vilka digitala mediekompetenser lärarstudenter och elever har tillägnat sig och projekten har även betraktats utifrån ett sociokulturellt teoriperspektiv. Resultatredovisningen av projekten Relationsfilmer på Teleborg Centrum, Värdegrundtema på Kungsmadskolan och Travelling through the World ger sammantaget vid handen att både lärarstudenter och elever har utvecklat ibland delvis olika digitala mediekompetenser och -färdigheter. Lärarstudenter har även varit verksamma som handledare och härigenom bidragit till att elever mer än de själva har utvecklat egna digitala mediekompetenser och -färdigheter..

Blodtrycksmätning är en viktig del i en sjuksköterskas arbetsuppgifter och då både manuell och digital blodtrycksmätning idag förekommer parallellt inom svensk sjukvård syftar denna studie till att undersöka om det finns någon skillnad mellan de uppmätta resultaten i dessa mätmetoder och beskriva denna eventuella skillnad. Undersökningen genomfördes på en kärlkirurgisk avdelning på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige under hösten 2009. Populationen bestod av 38 inneliggande patienter som följdes upp med totalt 65 blodtrycksmätningar. För att utföra undersökningen tillämpades cross-over design med kvantitativ ansats. Resultaten visade skillnader mellan de två mätmetoderna då den digitala metoden uppmätte högre blodtryck än den manuella. Digital blodtrycksmätning visade genomgående högre mätresultat jämfört med manuell metod.

Östersunds kommun behövde höjddata inför planeringen av ett nytt bostads- och rekreationsområde som kallas Storsjö strand där en ny fördjupad översiktplan tagits fram. Syftet med examensarbetet var att skapa en digital höjdmodell över en del av området. Mätningar med Leica GNSS-utrustning samt totalstation utfördes under några dagar.  Höjddatat levererades till kommunen. En triangelmodell skapades och en karta med höjdkurvor togs även fram för att visualisera arbetet. En del felkällor kan ha haft inverkan på resultatet såsom tjälen i marken och eventuellt några enstaka flervägsfel, men vi anser ändå att resultatet är tillräckligt för en första översiktlig planering..

This paper analyzes Allt, Martina Lowden's novel from 2006, from a media discursive perspective. The theoretical framework consists of Michel Foucault's discourse analysis, Friedrich Kittler's research on hermeneutic reading, and N. Katherine Hayles's studies of pattern?randomness controlled meaning production. Various examples on how communication technology influences the narrator?s act of writing illustrate the medial discourse surrounding the body of Allt.

Many people believe that the analogue picture book is a dying media due to the increase of digital media. Contrary to popular belief, the publishing of children?s book in Sweden is continually increasing, which makes mapping the field quite significant. But to regulate the creation of a children?s picture book is problematic, because one does not want to impede the personal style of the writer or the illustrator of the children?s book.If the children?s book creator has an understanding of how to better communicate with children, the children?s book might have a grater impact on the child.

The report is about efficiency of a current production group where there is no clear production flow and there are some buffers between the operations. The efficiency is done with the help of a tool that is calledWork process of flow production which is used by Atlas Copco CTO. The most obviously results are that the lead time drops from 25 hours to 425 minutes and that the balancing loss decreases from 85 % to 8 %. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how reading different media forms can lead to different experiences for the reader and how they choose which media form to read. Two questions are posed in the study. Question number one is: How does the media form influence the reading experience of the book and question number two is: What reasons can be seen behind the different choices of media forms?The study is based upon qualitative interviews with six readers using different media forms. Two different theories are used for analyzing the result.

Digital distribution för datorspel växer för varje år. Med tiden har fler och fler webbutikermed endast digitala produkter dykt upp, samtidigt som de gamla till en allt större del harbörjat erbjuda ett digitalt sortiment. Konsumenterna har med denna utveckling ett hav avolika typer av distributionsmöjligheter att välja bland. Vissa kan för en del konsumenterkännas restriktiva, medan andra webbutiker erbjuder en typ av försäljning som påminner merom den fysiska.Syftet med denna studie är att försöka identifiera de olika typer av affärsmodeller ochdistributioner som finns i dagsläget, och om det finns behov av att införa någon typ avstandard i form av riktlinjer och rekommendationer för digital distribution.Studien visar att det skulle vara problematiskt att tillämpa riktlinjer som skulle fungera ipraktiken för alla dessa varianter av digital distribution. Men samtidigt identifieras ett antalproblem som individuellt skulle kunna åtgärdas med hjälp av några av de riktlinjer ochrekommendationer som tas fram genom bland annat kvantitativ undersökning blandspelkonsumenter och intervju med Sveriges största aktör inom området..

Calculations are an important part of planning around a construction project. From concept to completion of the project calculation is a tool to try to predict the actual cost. During the production stage in particular, deviations occur which makes the actual cost different from the calculations.This thesis is done in collaboration with JM Residential Stockholm. The study includes a cost follow-up in which a comparison was made between the calculated production cost and actual cost for the five projects. The aim of the study was to observe the most common reasons that a project deviates from the calculated production cost and then summing these causes in a number of categories.

A case study of professional interaction designers' usage of design materials was conducted. Five interviews were performed in order to gain insight in the systems used by designers, how these work, how they collaborate within them, and what they think of recent research about them. Design studios allow collaboration for several users at once. Digital material (mockups, pictures, etc.) are commonly used, but needs to be made analog, e.g. printed, to be usable in the design studio environment.
