Purpose: The purpose with this study is to investigate how preschool teachers understand the concept the competent child and in what ways this understanding affects their role in children?s learning. Question at issue: What perspective on children do the contributing educationalists have? How do they define a competent child? Do such children exist and if so, are they always competent in all situations? What is the educationalists perspective on learning and knowledge? What is the preschool teacher?s view of their role as educationalists? What do they consider as their most important tasks?Method: To execute this study I have made a qualitative research based on interviews with eight teachers from four different preschools.Main theories: I have built the theoretical part of this study based on four different perspectives on the concept the competent child according to the philosophies of Dion Summer, Jesper Juul and Reggio Emalia. I also describe different theories about learning, knowledge and educationalists as well as the preschools role in the development of child according to different well-known scientists and researchers.Summarized conclusion: The study shows that the interviewed preschool teachers chose to interpret the concept the competent child in three ways.

This study deals with teachers ideas about the physical environment of a mobile preschool and how it affects children?s learning. The essay describes how the preschool bus is decorated and how a normal day works in the mobile bus. The survey was based on the following questions:Are there disadvantages and advantages in terms of physical environment in the mobile preschool from an educator based perspective?What are the teacher?s thoughts about the impact on children?s learning in terms of the physical environment on the bus?Summary: To answer my questions I have participated in activities during the day and I have used the interviews to find out the teachers thoughts.

Denna studie undersöker vad några lärare på en skola har för positiva och negativa erfarenheter av att integrera IKT i sin undervisning. Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i några olika teorier som förklarar olika aspekter av undervisningspraktiken. Det är en kvalitativ, induktiv studie, som använder sig av intervjuer. Resultatet visar att lärarna ser IKT som något positivt, framförallt eftersom det möjliggör en mer varierad undervisning, och ökar elevernas motivation. De möter dock samtidigt många problem som gör att de inte kan utnyttja dess fulla potential, framförallt tekniska problem, samt bristande digital kompetens, både hos elever och lärare.

Background: Daily news reports of school violence, bullying and harassment are common. The school has developed into an arena which has been exposed into a growing unhealthyness. Paradoxically, financial resources decreases while demands on school staff increases. How does school staff and personal cope with these demands? Aim: We sought to study sense of coherence among school employees in two schools; a comparison between one health promotional school and one school in the process of working with health promotion.

Learning Resource Centre, or LRC, is an international phenomenon and a response to the changing society that came with the development of information technology. The LRC concept spread internationally during the 1990s and began to influence Swedish collage libraries at the end of the decade. The main purpose of this study is to analyze if and how Swedish college libraries have incorporated the LRC concept. Is there a Swedish LRC model? Is the LRC concept still interesting or was it a trend that is now out of date? Interviews with eleven people from six college libraries aim to show how they define the concept LRC and how it has been integrated in to their organisations.

The aim of this study is to examine the opinion of teachers as to the situation of young people suffering from Aspergers syndrome in the Sixth Form(gymnasium. In order to find this out I have chosen to interview four teachers with work experience of Aspergers in three different gymnasium in middle Sweden. They were confronted with the following questions: What resources are available for these pupils in the gymnasium? How do they experience that the school situation functions and how would they as teachers like the school situation to function for these young people at school?The result shows that special teachers have an extremely important function to fulfil. Those interviewed felt that there are sufficient resources available, for example guidance and further education for techers as well as both support and means for helping the young people.However, every teacher does not understand this handicap.

Just how far is it possible to make learning of new parts for recognition and robot picking autonomous? This thesis initially gives the prerequisites for the steps in learning and calibration that are to be automated. Among these tasks are to select a suitable part model from numerous candidates with the help of a new part segmenter, as well as computing the spatial extent of this part, facilitating robotic collision handling. Other tasks are to analyze the part model in order to highlight correct and suitable edge segments for increasing pattern matching certainty, and to choose appropriate acceptance levels for pattern matching. An analysis of the result was made base on two main theories. One i Säljös theory about the sociocultural perspective, where artefacts play an important part in the devolopment of human society. This study is about language learning and language development. The purpose of the survey is to investigate how current learning theory and language research reflect on teaching instructions for the teaching material in spanish, with focus on the student´s awareness and reflection.The survey is based on a comparative textanalysis of four teaching instructions for the seventh year in the nineyear compulsory school.The result show great variations between the teaching instructions, regarding execercises as well as instructions. Vi har från och med 2011 en ny läroplan för grundskolan som betonar användningen av digital teknik i matematikämnet mycket starkare än den tidigare läroplanen från år 1994. Situationen i skolan av idag på detta område är inte i fas med kravet från den nya läroplanen. Det behöver utvecklas en ny praxis för användandet av digital teknik i matematikundervisningen. Med den studie vi här gjort har vi velat få handgriplig information hur en introduktion av ett gratis dataprogram, GeoGebra, kan tänkas fungera för nionedklassare. Studien är en tredelad fallstudie med 1) ett undervisningstillfälle; 2) ett uppgiftslösningstillfälle; och 3) ett intervjutillfälle.

Det samhälls- och yrkesliv eleverna utbildas för ställer allt högre krav på styrkor i att definiera och lösa problem i ett förändringsarbete, ofta i grupp. Regeringen betonar att entreprenörskap och entreprenöriella kompetenser är viktiga förmågor för framtidens samhällsmedborgare.Traditionellt har lärare utvecklat sin kompetens och undervisning självständigt. Att delta i arbetslag ställer nya krav på ett fungerande utvecklingsarbete.

Den här studien kommer belysa om kulturjournalistiken i tre svenska dagstidningar har förändrats till följd av deras digitala publicering och i så fall hur. Denna utveckling bör ses i en större kontext med en utmanande ekonomisk situation för dagspressen, färre prenumeranter och därför även vikande annonsintäkter, utöver ökad konkurrens från Internet, sociala medier och webbtidningar. Webbpublicering har gjort det möjligt att ständigt mäta hur läsare tar till sig artiklar, om texter blir klickade och om de blir lästa. Genom kvalitativa intervjuer med tre kulturredaktörer på tre olika dagstidningar kommer denna studie belysa kulturredaktörens publicistiska ställningstaganden. Analysen tar upp en rad frågeställningar som gäller det journalistiska innehållet, språk, typ av textgenres som publiceras, sätt att skriva, förhållningssätt hos kulturredaktören samt olika sätt att arbeta journalistiskt, och undersöker om det var något av detta som framstår som en extra tydlig utveckling i relation till digital publicering.

AbstractIn this text the attitudes towards and using of blogs in teaching Swedish toteenagers will be explored. The results are based on a survey made amongst 17teachers and 58 students from all over Sweden. The end results show that theusage of blog still hasn?t found a permanent way into the classrooms, but has anappeal to and is being used by predominantly younger teachers both, male andfemale, with a positive response from students regardless of gender.
