Organizational democracy has been a popular research area in recent decades but the implementation in real organizations is slow (Kokkinidis, 2012; Verdorfer, Weber, Unter Rainer & Seyr, 2013). Several researchers (Schön Jansson, 2012; Falkheimer, Heide & Johansson, 2013) argue that communication practitioners have a key role in democratic processes and that because their job role is under constant change there are only a few modern studies regarding the subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how communication practitioners in private and public organizations experience their role in the process of internal communication and to what extent they are aware of, and work with internal organizational democracy.The practitioners we interviewed had a strong feeling that they were a support function for the business and the organizational management. As a result of the study it is clear that communication practitioners are very loyal to their employers and to the organization they work for. They are, therefore, not neutral in their professional role and argue that their task is to represent the management's interests.

Background: Pervious research indicates that communication between patient and nurse has shortcomings. For the nurse, difficulties in care giving may emerge when the nurse and patient cannot understand each other. Research also shows that patients? participation in their care become more difficult by lack of communication. The care giving of patients who speak a different language is seen as a challenge by the nurse.

The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject.    I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

Magasin i nya medier - Konkurrent eller komplement till pappersversionen?

Det papperslösa samhället har varit ett begrepp i över trettio år, men än läser vi tidskrifter och magasin i pappersform. Vi konsumerar dock dagligen allt mer information och mycket av denna är i digital form. Tidskriften är en produkt som liksom CD-skivan är möjlig att helt och hållet digitalisera. Kanske är det en anledning till att upplagorna minskar för många tidskrifter i Sverige? Denna rapport syftar till att nå en fördjupad förståelse för hur svenska tidskrifter möter den digitala utvecklingen i fyra kanaler; webbplats, Twitter, Facebook och applikation för iPad (digital utgåva).

Hur kommunicerar fackförbundet Unionen med sina medlemmar? : Påverkas kommunikationen av det minskade antalet lokala klubbar?

The purpose of this study is to investigate differences of how the Swedishemployees union ?Unionen? communicates with its members, on one hand thosewho are members of local union clubs and on the other non-club members. Thenumber of non-club members has increased due to labour market changes implyingthat workplaces have been fragmented and hence affect the possibility to form localunion clubs.The questions posed in the study are: How does Unionen communicate with itsmembers? How does the communication differ between club members and non-clubmembers? What are the preferences of Unionen´s members as far as communicationwith the central organization? What kind of information do the members seek andhow do they find it? What values does Unionen represent? Are there differencesbetween the messages that Unionen is sends out and how members and non-clubmembers, respectively, perceive them?A case study method has been used applying both quantitative and qualitativeanalyses. Quantitative methods have been used in illustrating the number ofdiscussion subjects at Unionen´s website, the members needs for receivingcommunication and channel usage while qualitative methodologies have been usedin interviews with Unionen´s members, club chairmen and union representatives aswell as semiotic picture analyses and analyses based on methods of Uses andgratifications theory.One conclusion of the study is that two significant differences of communicationhave been found between members and non-club members.

Fritidspedagogers ochgrundskollärares föräldrakontakt : Likheter eller skillnader i den verbala kommunikationen

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are any similarities or differences between leisure-time pedagogs and primary school teachers' verbal communication with parents. Questions we ask ourselves is how the verbal contact looks like today, the desire for how it should be and the importance of verbal communication has.We chose to make a qualitative questionnaire study in the form of open questions to three leisure-time pedagogs, three primary school teachers and eleven parents were asked to answer.The results show that leisure-time pedagogs, primary school teachers and parents believe that verbal communication is important and significant. They believe that it is working well today, whether is via face to face, telephone or email. The verbal communication should be honest and straight between all parties. Parents believe it is important to know leisure-time pedagogs who take care of their children, in order to create a sense of security among parents.

Att bygga kundrelationer med hjälp av communities

The advancements in digital technology and its availability contribute to the transfer of companycentricproduct development and value creation to networks or communities. It also changes the basisfor creation of customer relationships as described in previous research on Customer relationshipmanagement (CRM). The purpose of this case study was to gain an understanding of how companieslike our case study object Memoto who developed a physical product which gets added-value fromdigital product-related services looks upon product-centered communities as a way of buildingcustomer relationships. How Memoto looks upon incentives for participation in product-centeredcommunities was also examined.Our research indicated that firms in the start-up phase (which Memoto was when this study wasconducted) initially want to have more control over the process of innovation and hence have directcontact with end-customers. The reason for this is because they see a need to define the basis forfurther innovation work.

OAIS i praktiken - En studie av OAIS-användning vid skapandet av ett digitalt arkiv

OAIS (Open Archival Information System) är ett uttryck som blir allt vanligare inom digital långtidsbevaring, och är en standard som kan vara till hjälp vid skapande och drivande av digitala arkiv. I denna uppsats har vi undersökt praktisk användning av OAIS i ett samarbe mellan sex arkiv i Lund, som i ett projekt ska implementera ett framtida digitalt arkiv. Vi har följt det inledande arbetet med att skapa en egen modell för ett regionalt digitalt arkiv där man har tagit OAIS-standarden som utgångspunkt. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hantering och omfattning av OAIS för att sedan kunna presentera ett resultat som kan vara till användning för framtida projekt inom digital långtidsbevaring som ska använda OAIS. Insamling av empiriska data har huvudsakligen gjorts med hjälp av observationer av arbetet och semistrukturerade intervjuer med projektmedlemmar.

Outnyttjad kreativitet och kompetens inom produktion : - Ett arbete som fokuserar på att fånga upp och ta tillvara på medarbetares kreativitet och kompetens

AbstractResource efficient manufacturing is a term that has been increasingly applied within manufacturing, where one of the key points is to reduce waste of such forms that do not add value for the end customer. By the Lean principles, there are seven plus one types of waste, in which the definition of the eighth point varies among sources. In this study, the eighth type of waste has been interpreted as the untapped creativity and competence among employees that has not been put to use. From this, our question was incubated; How can you make the most of the employees? untapped creativity and potential within manufacturing? The case study will be developed with empirical data obtained from Dometic Group by conducting interviews.From the gathered literature, it was concluded that the communication between employees contributed to an increased understanding of one another as well as it allowed for improvement in work.

Digital dynamisk geometrisäkring : En kartläggning av dagens arbetssätt

Detta examensarbete innehåller en kartläggning av Scanias arbete med digital dynamisk geometrisäkring samt ett förslag på hur arbetet kan utvecklas.Kartläggningen skapar en översiktlig bild av hur dagens arbete utförs och beskriver de ingående delmomenten. Observationer av hur arbetet utförs har gjorts och dokumenterats och samtal med berörda personer på Scania har skapat förståelse för behovet av ett bättre och mer utvecklat arbetssätt.Scania vill bli bättre på digital dynamisk geometrisäkring för att kunna minska den idag relativt stora verksamheten med fysisk provning av prototypartiklar och färdiga bilar. Ett förslag till ett nytt arbetssätt har tagits fram och förutsättningar för detta har undersökts på företaget. Förslaget bygger på ett ökat samarbete mellan grupper med olika ansvarsområden kopplade till vilka krav som ställs på lastbilen. Utöver den rent organisatoriska delen innefattar det även mer handgripliga förslag på fortsatt arbete som bland annat behöver ett underlag i form av trovärdiga simuleringsmodeller.En jämförelse mellan resultaten från dagens simulering och fysisk provning har genomförts och resultatet visar att vidare arbete med förbättring av de digitala modellerna krävs innan det nya arbetssättet kan anammas tillfullo..


Samspel i ensemble : En musikpedagogisk studie om gymnasieungdomars interagerande i ensembleundervisning

The purpose of the study is to observe how the participants of the study interacted musically through verbal, non-verbal and musically resonant expressions. Verbal communication was expressed in discussion of the music's tempo and to clarify for ensemble participants from where they we?re going to play and sing. Non-verbal communication could be used to gesticulate an instrument or a melody. For example, the movement of a hand could symbolize notes on a musical stave to indicate the notes placements.

Möjligheter med begränsningar : Några lärares erfarenheter av IKT i undervisningen

Denna studie undersöker vad några lärare på en skola har för positiva och negativa erfarenheter av att integrera IKT i sin undervisning. Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i några olika teorier som förklarar olika aspekter av undervisningspraktiken. Det är en kvalitativ, induktiv studie, som använder sig av intervjuer. Resultatet visar att lärarna ser IKT som något positivt, framförallt eftersom det möjliggör en mer varierad undervisning, och ökar elevernas motivation. De möter dock samtidigt många problem som gör att de inte kan utnyttja dess fulla potential, framförallt tekniska problem, samt bristande digital kompetens, både hos elever och lärare.
