The gap between rich and poor is increasing. Economic inequality is widening on a global level but also in individual countries like the USA and Sweden. The consequences for individuals are great considering life chance, health, educational level and standard of living. The curriculum for social studies from 1994 as well as the curriculum coming in effect 2011 emphasize the importance of teaching social class as a tool to interpret development in Sweden as well as the world. Earlier studies have looked at how much and in what way textbooks discuss gender, sexuality and ethnicity but social class has been overlooked. This study examines if social class is described in textbooks written for high school. The study also analyzes in which way social class is described.

Människor med autism lever i ett ständigt kaos. Därför är den viktigaste pedagogiska principen när man arbetar med människor med autism att strukturera och ordna omvärlden, att strukturera kaoset.Syfte: Syftet med rådande undersökning är att utifrån löpande aktiviteter i daglig verksamhet för personer med autism lyfta fram och analysera de olika specialpedagogiska metoderna man använder.Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ ansats för att uppnå sitt syfte. De empiriska undersökningarna, vilka bestod av intervjuer och observationer, har utförts i daglig verksamhet för personer med autism.Resultat och diskussion: Denna studie visar att man i den aktuella dagliga verksamheten använder sig av specialpedagogiska metoder för att underlätta de problem som människor med autism har med social interaktion, kommunikation och fantasi.Studien visar också att de specialpedagogiska metoderna i vissa sammanhang brister. Detta gör det då personalen genomför aktiviteter som bland annat går ut på social interaktion, vilket inte gynnar personer med autism då de har stora svårigheter med social interaktion. Därtill visar studien att personalen har en oerhört stor roll i arbetet med människor med autism.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att analysera hur samspelet såg ut mellan speldesigners och spelprogrammerare samt att analysera hur konflikter hanterades.Denna uppsats var av kvalitativ art och baserades på fyra intervjuer med två designers och två programmerare.Det visade sig att det rådde bra kommunikation på företaget mellan designers och programmerare, men att det är vissa konflikter som ändå fanns kvar. En bidragande orsak till en försämring av samspelet var att designers och programmerare inte kan beskriva varandras arbete.En konflikt som togs upp i arbetet var att designers och programmerare pratar två helt skilda språk. Detta har inneburit att yrket teknikartist har vuxit fram för att länka samman parterna. Teknikartistens intåg i dataspelsbranschen visade sig vara relativt nytt och det kan bli betydelsefullt framöver för att stärka samspelet..

The object of this study is to describe and analyze from a theoretical point of view which conditions, in what fields, by which division of responsibility and finally through what decisions these social enterprises are allocated a place in the market for social welfare services. In the study a triangulation of qualitative methods has been used: studies of literature on the subject, recurrent interviews and observations and also reviews of documents. Our purpose was to investigate if Swedish University educated social workers, living as active Christians, in any way might be influenced by Christian values. The main questions; Can Christian values be a factor in the choice of career to become a social worker? How does a personal belief in Christ impact the relationship towards the clients? Is Christian belief a support in the work? In this paper we used a qualitative method and interviewed eight persons, with a background as above, four of them employed by a church organisation and the other four working in the social sector. The result we present is that the eight Christian social workers Christian belief influenced their work very individually. How much this supported them was a choice about how official and open they wanted Christian values to be.

Title: This is not Africa - West African teaching methods in Sweden. This is a work of "translation". The study started with a musical journey to Guinea, West Africa. It was a field study where I had the opportunity to open my senses towards another culture and another kind of music. I found another learning tradition and decided to try to bring it with me back to Sweden, into the Swedish school system.

The aim of this study was to examine former criminals? experiences of help and support of importance to leave a criminal life style. The study consists of six interviews with former criminals and earlier studies on the subject. These studies show that relapse in crime are most common among those who are socially excluded from society. They also show that important factors to end a life in criminality are for example a supportive social network.

This paper describes how files and information can be shared in organisations and workplaces. We studied and compared the traditional file sharing in Microsoft Active Directory and the Social file sharing that comes with Microsoft SharePoint Sites. We used qualitative studies based on interviews with system administrators, management and by our own observations to acquire the necessary data. Using independent research, we were able to analyze the data and show the general difference between the traditional and the social file sharing systems. Social file sharing enables the user to easily store and share files in a flexible online environment.

AbstractThis degree project focuses on the questions how teachers´ within the four socially oriented subjects? history, geography, religion and social science use the textbook, and their attitudes towards textbooks. The method used in this project was interviews with teachers. Previous research shows that teachers use the textbook to a great extent. Studies also show that teachers? way of educating depends upon their individual educational attitudes.

Title: Violin technique in folk music education. The purpose of this research has been to examine how violin teachers who are folk musicians teach violin playing techniques. Through litterature studies and qualitative interviews I have studied the relationship between teaching methods regarding violin playing techniques of the two genres folk music and classical music and how the teachers in the study relate to this. Introduction: The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test is a widely used test for measuring aspects of social cognition. The aim of the present study was to provide results from a group of typically developing Swedish children (age 9-12) and to compare these results with children and adults in other Swedish and English studies, as well as results from a group of children with Asperger syndrome. Method: A Swedish version of the child version of the test was completed by 83 controls and by six children with Asperger syndrome. Results were compared between the two groups and with data from other studies. Results: The children in the current study did not differ on scores compared to children in the same age group in other studies.

This study explores the different effects on attitude and behaviour three frequently used advertising techniques have. The techniques compared are social influence and egoistic and altruistic benefit-appeals. The results showed that ads featuring social influence had statistically significant higher mean values regarding attitude towards the ad compared to both the other ads, and significantly higher mean values regarding brand attitude compared to the ad appealing to egoistic motivations. Though, all advertising effectiveness measures used in this study - that is, attitude and intention variables - indicated that social influence was more effective than the other advertising messages. Thus, in accord with earlier studies, it can be stated with confidence that social influence is an effective tool to use in marketing communications..
