The ability to tackle NP-hard problems has been greatly extended by the introduction of Metaheuristics (see Blum & Roli (2003)) for a summary of most Metaheuristics, general problem-independent optimisation algorithms extending the hill-climbing local search approach to escape local minima. One of these algorithms is Iterated Local Search (ILS) (Lourenco et al., 2002; Stützle, 1999a, p. 25ff), a recent easy to implement but powerful algorithm with results comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods for many combinatorial optimisation problems, among them the Traveling Salesman (TSP) and Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.

 The objective of this thesis is to examine the difference in workability in fresh concrete, when crushed fine aggregate replaces natural gravel. The shape of the fine aggregate,  packing and flow of six crushed material and three natural materials will be determined by easy studies, the results will be compared with a slump cone test..

They manufacture their products according to the assembling for costumer order principle.The purpose with this thesis is to map and analyze, the assembling process and the test process at Lasermax Roll Systems AB.

På Alfred Nobelmuseet i Karlskoga finns en avdelning som kallas Fiffiga huset. Där finns många experiment som besökare kan prova på, samt montrar som visar hur olika tekniska och maskinella apparater fungerar. Till utställningen och öppnandet sommaren 2009 ville de ha två nya demonstratorer. I rapporten kallas dem för reaktionstidsväggen och baklängesprataren. Reaktionstidsväggen skulle mäta besökarens reaktionstid genom att tryckknappar, med inbyggda dioder som slumpvis tänds, trycks ned i rätt ordning.

This bachelor thesis project has been executed at Outotec Sweden AB in Skellefteå. Outotecs main business focus is selling mineral and metal processing technologies. A rest product from the metal process is particle-polluted gas and cyclone designs are today the most commonly used abatement device for particle control. A cyclone provides a simple design with high efficiency particle percolation by using air streams.The purpose of this work is to reduce the time it takes create new cyclone designs in Outotecs projects. An extensive construction work is needed for every new cyclone order due to new designs.

Inledning: Gymnasieelever som upplever ett starkt socialt stöd från lärare och klasskamrater rapporterar i högre utsträckning en positiv psykisk hälsa. Under flera decennier har svenska skolungdomars psykiska hälsa försämrats och socialt stöd från lärare och klasskamrater är viktigt för att stävja den nedåtgående trenden. Metod: 243 gymnasielever mellan 17-20 år (M=17.91) besvarade en enkät om upplevt socialt stöd, emotionella symtom, generell stress, kamratproblem, psykosomatik och välmående i skolan. Svaren analyserades i SPSS genom Kruskal-Wallis H-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, det icke-parametriska post-hoc testet av Siegel och Castellan (1988) samt Rosenthals (1984), ekvation för effektstorlek. Resultat: De elever som upplevde ett högt socialt stöd rapporterade i högre utsträckning en positiv psykisk hälsa.Dessutom, beroende på om det var socialt stöd från lärare eller klasskamrater varierar kopplingens styrka till de fem aspekterna av psykisk hälsa.

SyfteSyftet med studien var att bedöma rörelseutförandet under testet enbensknäböj hos en grupp elit/subelit långdistanslöpare och om, och i så fall hur rörelseutförandet påverkas av uttröttning. Syftet var också att undersöka om det förelåg ett samband mellan subjektiv bedömning vid enbensknäböj och ledvinklar kalkylerade vid tredimensionell (3D) rörelseanalys.MetodTio löpare från löparklubb utförde enbensknäböj. Vid testet poängsattes rörelseutförandet enligt en bedömningsskala samtidigt som 3D kinematisk data inhämtades via datorbaserad 3D rörelseanalys. Tjugosex markörer placerades bilateralt på anatomiska landmärken på bäcken, lår, underben och fot. Därefter sprang försökspersonerna 15 minuter på ett löpband enligt ett utmattningsprotokoll.

With the growing amount of citizens with another mother tongue than Swedish, the need for assessment instruments in other languages than Swedish within the Swedish health care increases. To enable this, the knowledge of multilingualism and adequate assessments are required. The aim is to develop a modern Arabic version of a screening material that is comparable to what is used in the Swedish clinic in the assessment of people diagnosed with aphasia. In the present study, Short Aphasia Examination (Kortfattad Afasiprövning), which is one of the few screening material is available in Swedish and among the ten most frequently used assessment materials (Blom Johansson, Carlsson & Sonnander, 2011). Translation and adaptation was made to the Standard Arabic (KAPARABISKA) and Arabic dialect of Hadari (KAPHADARI).

The aim of my study is to investigate if and in that case how the writing process and texts written by students in the upper secondary school are affected by the writing tool; does it matter if they write their texts on a computer or by longhand? Another objective is to compare such an effect with the findings of previous studies performed on earlier generations of writers. The first part of my study was a survey. It showed that two thirds of the 67 students participating thought that they would have written better texts in the national writing test if they had been able to use computers. In the second part of the study each of the fourteen participants wrote one text on computer and another by hand.

Background: Phonemically balanced word lists are used when obtaining speech recognition scores in noise. These lists are designed for adults, but are still used for children. To properly obtain speech recognition scores in noise for children, normative data is needed to show what differences there are to be expected between children of different ages. Purpose: The main purpose is to obtain normative data for children in the ages of 7, 10 and 13 years for speech recognition scores in noise using words and to compare these with each other and with normative data of adults. A further purpose is to examine if there is any practice- or exhaustion effect to be seen when obtaining speech recognition scores in noise for children in the ages of 7, 10 and 13 years.Material: The participants were ten 7-year-olds, ten 10-year-olds and ten 13-year-olds.

Denna studie syftade till att undersöka om Typ A-beteende utvecklades och förstärktes i yrkeslivet eller om det utvecklades i ett tidigare skede före personen hade påbörjat sin utbildning och bara hade vaga föreställningar om vad som skulle krävas i yrkesrollen. Typ A-beteende förkortat TAB karakteriseras av ett antal olika personlighetsdrag ett av de mer framträdande är att personen är extremt tävlingsinriktad och högpresterande. Urvalsramen omfattade tre yrkeskategorier i Västra Götalands län. Deltagarna från de tre yrkeskategorierna var 21 polismän 14 lärare och 16 ingenjörer. Deltagarna fick genomföra ett av författaren egenkomponerat test för denna undersökning.
