AbstractKryssningsturismen ökar i Östersjön, och har sedan Ă„r 2000 vuxit med mer Ă€n 3 miljoner resenĂ€rer. Medan marknaden expanderar har utvecklingen för destinationen Visby pĂ„ Gotland varit nedĂ„tgĂ„ende sedan Ă„r 2005. Avsaknaden av en kryssningskaj i Visby har resulterat i att fartyg inte vĂ€ljer att stanna till vid destinationen. Fartygen Ă€r hĂ€nvisade till att ankra upp utanför och transportera in kryssningsturisterna med mindre transportbĂ„tar. Detta Ă€r tidskrĂ€vande och omöjligt att genomföra vid dĂ„ligt vĂ€der.Region Gotland har dĂ€rför tillsammans med Copenhagen Malmö Port gjort en överenskommelse om att bygga en kryssningskaj i Visby till Ă„r 2018.

The interest in providing a post 9/11 image of Islam to contrast the media?s frequent focus on its practitioners? alleged tendencies toward hostility and violence has in Sweden manifested itself (among other things) in an increased range of courses on Islam given by denominational Muslim organizations. In this paper I examine the construction of Islam by two Muslim organizations that offer education in Islam to non-Muslims in the context of the management?s stated goals of the education. My aim is to illustrate how discourses within these organizations are a result of the combination of local and global conditions..

New dwellings and commercial buildings in coastal regions has for some time now been a focal point. Old industrial harbours are regenerated into modern living areas with a recreational purpose. In Sweden the marina has not taken part in this development, thus remained in the monotony and large-scale structures of modernism. This graduation thesis looks upon the marina from a landscape architects point of view, where the marina foremost is a social venue. By revealing and discussing the development of the marina, its design and environmental consequence theories of the marinas future is presented. These theories are later tested upon the costal village of RydebÀck, south of Helsingborg. The thesis is structured in three parts: marina knowledge, proposal and resources. In the first part the historical development of the marina from prehistory time to now is discussed.

This master thesis was written in the purpose to study how the location and access to computers in the physical realm of the public library reflects the undergoing changes in the public libraries role in Swedish society. This study is done in a form of a case study of three small public libraries. All of them were in the process of transforming both their physical and virtual space. The thesis focuses on where in the library the computers are placed and how their location interacts with the libraries main tasks. It also focuses on the analysis of the relationship between these two elements and how that relationship reflects the alteration of the public libraries place in society.

Uppsatsen handlar bÄde om en komplex urvalsprocess och intressanta aspekter kring hur besöksmÄlen vÀljer att skildra sitt kulturarv för att locka besökare samt hur kulturarvet pÄverkas av att det utvecklas till en kommersiell produkt. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att undersöka hur kulturarv anvÀnds som resurs för att skapa attraktiva besöksmÄl pÄ en destination. Genom att kulturarv anvÀnds som resurs för att skapa attraktiva besöksmÄl anser vi att det sker ett aktivt urval kring kulturarv utifrÄn tre nivÄer.

My purpose with this essay is to examine the relationship between esthetic learning processes and language development to find good practices in my work with multilingual children. In my report, I describe a few activities from my work as a preschool pedagogue in a multicultural area, with a large group of children where age and knowledge of Swedish varies. The background to this essay is the problems I experienced in my work with childrenÂŽs language development in an organization that, in my opinion, is limited by economic factors. The questions I poses are about the way esthetic learning processes can help children develop their language skills as well as their participation in preschool activities. I also pose the question whether there is a connection between the musical ear and childrenÂŽs development of language.

A recent trend in the technological evolution has been to increase the mobility of the end-user. A contributing factor is the fast rate of improvement in the smartphone area. This, in turn, has changed the expectations end-users have on the availability of services, which has allowed mobile applications, apps, to find their place in everyday life.This study has been conducted at Scania?s Fleet Management department that offers a web-based service where haulage contractors can administer, monitor and follow up on their vehicle fleets. The purpose of this study was to investigate if Scania?s existing web service should be extended into the mobile area, and if so, what organizational and technical challenges app development imposes.

The purpose of this thesis has been to examine preventing child sexual abuse in four elementary schools in Stockholm, Sweden. The study is based on qualitative interviews with school counselors. The aim of this thesis was to find out how and if elementary schools in Sweden work with preventing child sexual abuse. The aim was also to examine how the school counselors reason about the schools efforts to prevent child sexual abuse. Their statements was analysed with Foucault?s theory about sexual history to get a deeper understanding for why people reason the way they do when it comes to issues like this.
