Vårt mål är att förhöja deltagarnas upplevelse i levande rollspel (även kallat lajv). Idag finns det inga möjligheter att visualisera övernaturliga förmågor. I den här rapporten visar vi ett exempel på hur detta kan realiseras med hjälp av teknik. Vi har inriktat oss på att simulera alvers övernaturliga hörsel. Levande rollspel är mycket känsligt för störningar från ?världen utanför?, exempelvis modern teknik och språk.

Denna kandidatuppsats behandlar säkerhet inom molnet. Med hjälp av en litteraturstudie inom ämnet kombinerat med intervjuer av företag som både använder och erbjuder molntjänster undersöker vi vad företagen har för kunskap om säkerhetsbrister inom molnet. Utöver säkerhetsfrågor har vi även belyst en rad generella frågor kring molnet; varför företag använder molnet och vad de upplever som för- och nackdelar med tjänsterna. Vidare argumenterar vi för införandet av en standard som kommer att klargöra vilka säkerhetsrutiner som molnföretagen erbjuder. Uppsatsens resultat är av intresse för den som står inför ett beslut att införa molntjänster, eller den som redan använder molnet men har funderingar kring dess säkerhetsaspekter..

In this Bachelor thesis I explore sound and room as elements in design of user interfaces, both theoretical and practical in a specific application domain, to identify some of the advantages and disadvantage associated with these elements. As application domain I studied email clients and their usage at home amongst students at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In the study I found an activity, which seems to be highly distributed in the physical room where the user is located. The activity was notification of email and could take place in an arbitrary location of the home. I then augmented this activity with ideas from my theoretical assumption about room and sound.

This is a study of how emotional engagement can be measured and be taken into account in the development of websites. We believe that emotions become relevant only when viewed in correlation to how users experiencing a webpage. In this study, we developed a tool for use together with user tests where the information about the user's emotional engagement can add new value to the evaluation. The tool allows the user to mark, on the website, his/her emotions and level of engagement represented by colored circles, generating quantiative data on how users feel about the website. The tool is part of a method for evaluating the emotional engagement that we have developed which consists of user testing supported by the tool and accompanied by interviews..

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) är ett koncept för just det, och ett av de system som finns på marknaden är utvecklat av VMware och har fått namnet View. Frågeställningen som har legat till grund för denna utredning var om prestandan och användarupplevelsen hos en virtuell maskin i ett VDI-system idag är tillräckligt bra för att kunna ersätta en fysisk dator som arbetsdator. För att utreda detta skapades en View-miljö med två olika virtuella maskiner som sedan användes och utvärderades. Därtill användes även prestandatestmjukvaran PassMark PerformanceTest för att utvärdera datorernas prestanda och för att kunna jämföra resultaten med de hos två vanliga laptops.

In my study, I have chosen to examine how the user interface and content must conform to design guidelines for responsive design makes it suitable for diverse desktop environment and for varied mobile platforms. The purpose of this study is to examine the extent recommended design guidelines based on scientific research has a positive impact on user performance and perception when using this study delivered hi-fi prototype. The goal of this study is to provide a Hi-Fi prototype with high usability that will introduce and inform the public about BrasilCine according specifications. Denna uppsats har sin utgångspunkt i den tekniska evolution som har skett i affärssystemens värld. Syftet var att undersöka och beskriva implementat-ionsfasen av ett Enterprise Resource Planning System som tillhandahålls som en tjänst via internet. Processindustrin har möjligheten att ta steget in i en ny utvecklingsfas där teknik kommer att spela stor roll. I och med att teknik allt mer stödjer mobilitet öppnas möjligheten för processoperatörer att på valfri plats kunna övervaka och styra tillverkningsprocessen. Med denna rapport presenterar författaren sin empiriska studie på en högteknologisk fabrik. Studiens fokus ligger i betydelsen av processoperatörernas mobilitet och hur den framträder i deras arbete. Studien visar att mobilitet för operatörerna på fabriken är en del av deras yrkesutövande och väsentlig för att kunna styra tillverkningsprocessen.

I den här rapporten redogör jag för framställandet av en 3d-visualiserad interaktiv monteringsanvisning till företaget Leine & Linde i Strängnäs (här efter 3d-anvisning). Företaget tillverkar pulsgivare som används till att mäta rotationshastighet och vinklar på axlar i rörelse.Tidigare var det möjligt för företaget att ge direktsupport till kunderna via telefon, men eftersom företaget expanderar så ökar även antalet supportärenden. Därför var behovet stort av tydliga monteringsanvisningar för att avlasta de ingenjörer som stod för supporten.Jag har med hjälp av intervjuer undersökt vilka moment i monteringen som är kritiska för produktens funktion samt har hög felprocent hos företagets kunder. Därefter har jag tillverkat en 3d visualiserad interaktiv monteringsanvisning som utprovats i jämförelse med företagets befintliga pappersmanual.Arbetet ska inte ses som en generell undersökning av 3d-anvisningar, utan som specifik för montering av Leine & Lindes pulsgivare.Resultatet pekar på en viss tidsvinst samt en ökad formförståelse och positiv upplevelse för målgruppen..

Applikationer och system flyttar i allt större utsträckning från lokala installationer på den enskilda datorn, ut i ?molnet? där data skickas och hanteras via Internet. Traditionella ?Desktop applikationer? blir webbapplikationer för att centralisera drift och öka tillgänglighet. Detta skifte medför ett ökande antal träffytor för personer som av en eller annan orsak vill åsamka skada eller tillskansa sig, alternativt manipulera eller förstöra, känslig eller hemlig information.
