Arbetets syfte är att undersöka hur takträdgårdar kan fungera och gestaltas vid äldreboenden. Framställningen tar särskilt fasta på kunskap om utevistelsens positiva hälsoeffekter i relation till äldreboendens allt viktigare roll i staden. Studien presenterar idén om takträdgårdar som utemiljö för de äldre, och exemplifierar kunskaper om detta genom visioner och gestaltningsförslag för Brahem vård- och omsorgsboende i Stockholm. Grönområden i anslutning till bostaden ökar tillgängligheten för de boende och erbjuder utevistelse med naturrelaterade upplevelser. Satsningar på takträdgårdar kan utnyttja byggda konstruktioner och på lång sikt ge sociala, miljömässiga, estetiska och ekonomiska fördelar.

Hemsidan ska även vara estetiskt tilltalande, där färgvalet visade sig ha påverkan för huruvida målgruppen etablerar förtroende eller inte. De nyanser som anses mest förtroendeingivande är blå och grön. Ljusstyrkan hos en färg som ger mest förtroende är mörka och ljusa färger.

Modeföretagens affärsidéer bygger idag på en hög konsumtion av plagg med korta livscykler och produkter skickas snabbt ut på marknaden. Detta är möjligt genom kapade ledtider och effektiviserade designprocesser, vilket i sin tur leder till låga priser. Denna effektiva verksamhet gör att delar i processerna måste prioriteras bort. En följd av detta är trendkänsliga plagg som är skapade för nuet. Plaggen är inte längre skapade att hålla en längre tid och fyller ett kortsiktigt behov hos kunden.

Målet med det här arbetet är att presentera ett förslag på en komponentbaserad design som skall användas för att lösa ett problem som finns hos företag som jobbar med flera affärssystems API-komponenter. Lösningen som uppnås är ett komponentbaserat gränssnitt som låter sig anpassas, underhållas och utökas av användare. Vår lösning beskriver hur en design ser ut som låter utvecklarna hos dessa företag arbeta mot ett komponentbaserat gränssnitt som programmatiskt ser identiskt ut oberoende mot vilket API-system utvecklaren arbetar mot eller med. Resultatet når vi genom att använda en blandad metodik, d.v.s. en metodik där både kvalitativa och kvantitativa metoder används.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the possible effects of an unstable ventilation system and its influence on energy use and thermal comfort. The report also explores how qualified personal working with HVAC view and handles system control.In order to meet the requirements in energy efficiency and a comfortable indoor climate control regulation is a prerequisite. With optimized increased complexity of the climate systems, it becomes more challenging to control the system and the risk of unstable control increases. No previous studies about what affect an unstable system can have on energy use and thermal comfort have been found.The report is based on several tests were the controlling variable has been increased until the system becomes unstable. Two different types of unstable systems have been investigated.

The report contains three parts. The first part is a summary and overall presentation of thermalcracks and preventing measures against such cracks. This is a theoretical part where theinterested designer can get acquainted with various alternatives, be guided to more detailedliterature, and receive some practical information regarding the design of the respectivemeasures.The second part deals with calculation of the risk for thermal cracks and design of water coolingas a limiting measure. The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

Denna rapport redovisar utvecklingen av en tjänst för att lättare kunna söka praktikplats och praktikanter. Tjänsten utvecklades som ett eget projekt att senare kunna visas upp som ett förslag för intressenter av verktyg som detta. Utvecklingen har följt dagens principer för användbarhetsdesign och upplevelsedesign. Målet har under hela utvecklingsperioden varit att skapa något som speglar denna tids trender och applikationer för möten. Resultatet av detta projekt har landat i en hifi prototyp, grafisk profil samt konceptbeskrivning för hur tjänsten ska fungera och användas.

Vår kandidatuppsats handlar om användning och utveckling av Kustpilens biljettautomat. Vi har, genom etnografiska metoder, studerat hur människor använder sig av biljettautomaten vid köp av en tågbiljett. För att generera designidéer och utveckla vårt designförslag har vi utgått från dessa studier. Vi har sett hur viktigt det är för användarna att få feedback på utförda handlingar. Reverse logistics is getting more and more attention both from companies and the public. It is an area with the possibility for companies to do good in the eyes of the public. This work focus on the return system of a one-way handling material called the loading ledge. The loading ledge is developed by IKEA as a substitute for the EUR-pallet in transports from suppliers with a long distance and even flow and in transports from suppliers with short distance and uneven flow. The loading ledge is made out of 100 % recyclable plastic.The purpose of this work is to find the most efficient set-up for recycling of loading ledges within IKEA on a European level from a transport and handling point of view considering aspects like cost, environment, time and, from an administrative point of view, user-friendliness.Who will the participants of the set-up be, where will they be located, which transports are needed and which income and costs does the set-up generate, are questions that will be answered.

Our thesis is conducted in collaboration with Draper Europe AB in Halmstad.The goal of the project has been to construct a baseline concept for the instaling of aprojector screen. Draper Europe AB, in the curent situation, have several kinds of fabrics and designs on their sceens and the cases they are in. Today if you select a screen you can´t chose the design and function of the sceens case.The arrangement of the components inside the cases was to be constructed so the assembler simply could move them to different cases. To make it even easier for the assembler and to save time, the desire of less component was mentioned. Another problem that needed to be solved was the mounting of the projectionscreen at the customer place.

They were the first search engine marketing agency in the world when the company started up 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts, and the first in Sweden to offer services in search marketing after establishing themselves on the Swedish market the following year. iProspect can be found in the södermalm office in south central Stockholm. They are a comprehensive agency within search and offer everything from search engine optimization and sponsored links to advertising on social media. They?re goal is to lead developments in search marketing and to keep ahead of competition.

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

Syftet med detta projekt var att utveckla en design åt projektet Meal Planner för att få barn mer engagerade i matvalet. Designen fokuserar även på att hjälpa föräldrar i kostvalet och motverka matneofobi hos barn. Matneofobi är en tveksamhet eller motvilja till att prova nya maträtter vilket kan hindra barn från att äta maträtter som är potentiellt nyttiga och näringsrika för barnet. Tre teorier hittades som kan användas för att motverka matneofobi. Dessa kallas i denna uppsats för exponering, association och presentation.
