This report summarize a simple and efficient way to convert 2D into 3D designs. It explains the benefits of a 3D design compared with 2D, and how those benefits may be used.It will also give the reader a presentation of the company Clean Air Technologies, which for the most part constructs cleaning facilities for power plants. How to create 3D-libraries for some of those facilities will be introduced in this composition.The collaboration with Clean Air Technologies has resulted in several 3D animated movies and rendered images. This has increased the quality of the companies offer presentations, which has made it easier for the prospective customer to get an improved overall image of the power plant design..

Rapporten är skriven på svenska. För att utveckla användarvänliga system finns ett flertal riktlinjer angående hur man ska designa systemet. Rapporten tar huvudsakligen upp de designprinciper som Professor Donald Norman utvecklade, och som behandlar varje område i ett informationssystem. Det finns även andra riktlinjer som beskriver användarprinciper och universal design, och som med fördel kan följas vid design av ett informationssystem. En grupp på North Carolina State University i USA är en av många som har utvecklat sju principer för att behandla användarvänlighet[1].

I denna uppsats har jag undersökt metoder för förvaltande av kunskap samt lärande på arbetsplatsen genom att utgå ifrån personalens expertkunskaper inom sitt arbete och hur företag kan ta tillvara dessa. Den samlade kunskapen som finns på företag är ett värdefullt verktyg. Om den skulle varit möjligt att ta tillvara den på ett effektivt sätt skulle både medarbetare och företagets utveckling kunna dra stor nytta av det. Jag har undersökt hur denna kunskap skulle kunna förvaltas för att de anställda ska kunna få mer ansvar och möjlighet att förbättra sin arbetsplats med hjälp av olika metoder. Detta har jag gjort i samarbete med företaget Jidoka Innovation och deras metoder under samlingsnamnet HelpMe.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect and potential of a non-styled home reportage, and how they influence and inspire to promote individual creativity.Method: I have used a qualitative analysis to be able to create a deep understanding. This is based on three interviews with women in age 22-27, which have a dedicated interest in interior design. I have also sent questionnaires to two persons who run interior design blogs.Conclusions: My analysis shows that the non-styled home reportage is the start of an inspirational process that is beyond consumption and status objects. It promotes individual creativity and willingness to create, based on personnel taste. The essay highlights the importance that the individual critically examines the aesthetics of interior design as presented in diverse media.

A description and analysis of the sales process of ERP systems is presented; also the consequences for the parties involved are discussed. The chosen methodological basis is an inductive research design consisting of a case study based on interviews. The analysis of the empirical data is done with a proposed analytical framework. Based on the agency theory, the analysis is tightly knitted together with opportunism. There are three controlling factors: relationships (relationship marketing), contracts (principal-agent theory), and competition.

Eco-design is all about improving products environmental performances throughout the products lifecycle by including the environmental aspect into the product development process. There are a large number of different tools that can be used for this, but there are several factors that can affect which one will be the best to use. Some tools for eco-design takes comprehensive studies and can only be performed by experts, while some tools can be used more time- and cost efficient and with basic knowledge. The choice of tool should be based on the company?s situation.This report describes the research of how the design and furniture company Blå Station could include a tool for eco-design in their product development process.

I've been studying the entrance to Iittala Outlet in Vingåker with the purpose of finding a way to make the entrance more distinct and also increase the accessibility, the orientation and the availability. With interviews and notations as a method I've determined the extent of the problem and the motions of the visitors at the outlet area. With further support from previous research and litterature I've made a design proposal. The design proposal contains a relocation of the parkinglots that opens up visible walkways to Iittala Outlet..

Sociala digitala spel har ökat i popularitet sedan genren etablerades år 2007. Sociala spel är en vardag för många människor och återfinns på- eller runtomkring sociala nätverk, exempelvis Facebook. För att skapa kvalitativa sociala spel kan tydliga direktiv användas för hur design och utvärdering ska genomföras. En brist uppmärksammades av denna typ av direktiv i form av färdigutvecklade heuristiker för att designa och utvärdera sociala spel. För att undersöka hur sociala spel kan designas och utvärderas användes initiala heuristiker som kompletterades via en litteraturstudie.

Utredning av vuxna med förmodad neuropsykiatrisk funktions-nedsättning har blivit allmänt förekommande först på 2000-talet. Trots att utredningen är omfattande finns endast lite forskning kring hur utredningen påverkar patienten. Effekter, mestadels symtomlindrande, har påvisats vid andra utredningsformer men mycket skiljer dessa utredningar från de neuropsykiatriska. Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att undersöka symtomförändringar och hälsofrämjande effekter för patienten vid neuropsykiatrisk utredning. Single case-design har använts, deltagarna var sex patienter remitterade för neuropsykiatrisk utredning i två olika landsting, och har mätts gällande variablerna ångest, depression och känsla av sammanhang.

A large proportion of businesses around the world is today ISO 9001 certified and is consequently conducting internal audits on a regular basis. It has however not been possible to conclude that internal audits always add value to the organisation, despite the large utilisation of this tool. Some authors, e.g. Alic & Rusjan (2010) and Wealleans (2000), mean that there are possibilities that internal audits may be used as a value-adding improvement tool. This has led to the emergence of this master?s thesis.The purpose of the case study was therefore formulated to examine how internal quality audits can be made more effective and used as an improvement tool.

In the present case, the conception of policy hitchhiking gets evaluated in terms of its implications for democracy. This task is executed through the accomplishment of a case study of the use of social- and environmental clauses in the Swedish competitive tendering.A useful definition of policy hitchhiking, including different types of actors, is created.Through the defining of democracy and policy hitchhiking, the author comes to the conclusion that policy hitchhiking in some respects does meet democracy values.The thesis? result can in some sense be regarded as a contribution to the pursuit of knowledge of how power is distributed in the society and how the current distribution can be explained and understood..

This graduation thesis is about baths and beach like places in city centers. It focuses on recreation and the creation and development of public, social spaces in the city containing water as a visual and useable element. The thesis is divided into three parts; background, inspiration and application. The background examines four factors which we consider important for the occurrence of inner city baths; water, the history of bathing, inner city recreation and social life in public places. A discussion of the (future) importance of inner city baths and beach like places' is then presented. The inspirational part is divided into examples of existing places and examples of types of places. The first is used in an attempt to examine the function and importance of inner city baths and beach like places as well as the opportunities and challenges associated with them. The latter contains a presentation of six categories developed by us to facilitate the planning of inner city baths and beach like places.

Access to correct and updated intelligence about our environment is in an increasingly degree considered important in the private as well as in the public sector. At Mälardalens University, competitive intelligence as an area of research is closely related to Information Design - a multidisciplinary consideration which goal is to improve the receiver´s understanding of intended messages. This study was conducted in order to find out how Information Design was representedin different kinds of literature regarding Competitive Intelligence. Also, it describes the main focus areas concerning Competitive Intelligence in the same literature. Through an explorative "pearl-growing" method combined with searches through referrals, 60 different sources provide a broad basis for analysis.

I det västerländska samhället idag lever vi allt längre, samtidigt blir de äldre allt fler. Det finns idag en uppsjö av olika hjälpmedel till den äldre generationen, ett av de mest använda är rollatorn. Med hjälp av en rollator kan en människa uppleva en större känsla av oberoende, frihet och ett ökad socialt liv. Rollatorn är idag ett väl använt och för vissa ett oumbärligt hjälpmedel. En rollator användare behöver ibland röra sig ute i mörker, vi lever i ett land där vi upplever perioder med mycket mörker, norra delen av Sverige har ett stort antal mörkertimmar på året och för att förbättra ett redan bra hjälpmedel kommer denna rapport ta fram en belysning till rollatorn.Vad är det som händer med oss när vi åldras, vad sker med kroppen fysiskt och psykiskt? Vilka kognitiva förändringar kan vi förväntas erhålla när vi åldras? Rapporten tar upp vad som händer med kroppen när vi blir äldre och vilka olika former av nedsättningar som erhålls psykiskt och fysiskt.För att besvara forskningsfrågan "Vad innebär användarnytta samt användarvänlighet för design mot äldre?" tar rapporten även upp begreppen design och användarvänlighet och tittar närmare på delar som användbarhet, användarupplevelse, användarnytta, design och olika designprinciper, samt så har intervjuer utförts.Studiens forskningsresultat beskrivs i en tabell där sammanställda designprinciper har ställts mot olika regressioner som man erhåller vid en stigande ålder och visar på vilka delar av en design som behöver förtydligas vid vilken form av regression.
