The final stage of a designers work is always a bit tricky. Design is an abstract phenomenon and no one can tell when a design is really finished. The design process that designers work within has been thoroughly studied but cannot be truly mapped with strict constraints which the designer can follow to succeed. Therefore, in this paper we take a look at the final stage in the design process. The main goal is to get more knowledge and highlight key factors about what designers face when they are about finish their design or what forces them to leave a project that can stay in development for eternity.

I denna uppsats presenteras bakgrundsfakta om kvinnan i det muslimska samhället, jämställdheten, Islam och demokrati och slöjan i världen. Vad gäller slöjan så är det i grund och botten en sedvänja som inte direkt har med islam att göra. Trots det så väljer många kvinnor att bära den som en symbol för sin religion.

I work on a lighting design for a dance performance to be on tour. A lighting design adapted for
three different conditions was made:
- One comprehensive where I allow myself a great deal of creative freedom, adapted for the
stages with major technical conditions.
- One smaller version for stages with less equipment and with less time for preparation on
site.
- One design for very simple conditions.
I also examine the specific differences between typical theatrical lighting design and typical dance
lighting design, and the best way to prepare for the hands-on stage design phase..
Demokratibegrepp i två läroplaner - - en diskursanalytisk studie av Lgr 69 och Lpo 94
Den här studien är baserad på diskursteorin av Laclau och Mouffe. Teorin utgår ifrån det faktum att språk är föränderligt över tid och att alla begrepp i sig är tomma och behöver andra begrepp för att få sin betydelse. Genom att använda denna teori försöker vi få fram innebörden av begreppet demokrati och synen på hur en demokratisk människa skall vara i två läroplaner; Lgr 69 och Lpo 94. Genom analysen skall en dominerande diskurs komma fram som representerar olika tidsperioder, dessa jämförs och diskuteras senare. I Lgr 69 får begreppet demokrati sin betydelse genom att ställas i relation med samhället medan det i Lpo 94 är genom individuella värden.
Synchronous Latency Insensitive Design in FPGA
A design methodology to mitigate timing problems due to long wire delays is proposed. The timing problems are taking care of at architecture level instead of layout level in this design method so that no change is needed when the whole design goes to backend design. Hence design iterations are avoided by using this design methodology. The proposed design method is based on STARI architecture, and a novel initialization mechanism is proposed in this paper. Low frequency global clock is used to synchronize the communication and PLLs are used to provide high frequency working clocks.
Activate Nyhamnen : a design proposal after Kongjian Yu's design approch
This thesis introduces Kongjian Yu?s design approach in terms of industrial heritage conservation in connection to transformation and urban design. The approach is examined respectively on two cases from China and USA. The thesis give a brief introduction to current achievement in conservation research and general profile of industrial conservation practice. Based on case and theory study, Yu?s design approach is carefully applied to an industrial area Nyhamnen in Malmö and a design proposal is produced.

Service Design is a relatively new, unexplored and exciting phenomenon that through an interdisciplinary work methodology designs services. A discussion has been going on for a long time regarding whether there is a difference between products and services. Services are often classified as immaterial, heterogeneous, non-storable and inseparable in relation to products. A question that arises is if something specific characterises the work methodology used regarding service design. The aim with this paper is thus to explain the work methodology when working with service design.

A current issue today is to try to implement creative design as a way to solve wicked problems in scientific contexts such as HCI. Since the problems are wicked, they have no given solution which makes the traditional methods inadequate. In these cases, creative design can be an alternative. Creative design is not used in scientific contexts because it is viewed as something unaccountable.In this essay we argue that creative design not necessarily have to be unaccounted. We discuss various views of creative design and translate theory to a practical context.

Enligt skollag och läroplan ska skolan vara demokratisk både till sin form och funktion. Jag har valt att studera hur eleverna själva upplever sin vardag när det gäller möjligheter till inflytande och ansvarstagande. Examensarbetet Auktoritär-, demokratisk- eller låt-gå? En studie av tre gymnasielärares ledarroller behandlar lärares ledarroller. Vi har utgått från ett centralt begrepp, ledarroller. I vår studie valde vi metoderna observation och intervju, då vi valde att observera ledarrollen i klassrummet samt göra en kompletterad intervju med tre gymnasielärare. De två metoderna visar tillsammans lärarnas synsätt och vårt synsätt på hur ledarrollen tar form i klassrummet.
Gamers and Game Design: Incorporating Users in the Design Process
This paper deals with the difficulties of applying user-centered design practices as an independent developer, based on the visualization of a game concept in the form of a prototype. The aim is to evaluate the usability of user-centered design practices, specifically in the field of games development. Throughout this paper, I will give an account of the methods used for testing, as well as a review of previous research done in this field of study. Uppsatsen handlar om möjligheten till demokratisk bildindexering. Den traditionella intellektuella indexeringens representation av tolkande bildattribut och av aboutness brister. Hur skulle då användares egna bildbeskrivningar konstrueras och vilka aspekter av bilden skulle beskrivas? En experimentell metod har valts där 22 deltagare instruerats att skriva en bildtext, en innehållsbeskrivning och en beskrivning av upplevelsen av tre fotografier. Deltagarna beskrev bilderna med viss likhet i konstruktion oavsett bild.
Attityder till design : samt studie- och yrkesvägledare
The background to this study is the government’s investment in design and the increase of design education around the country. As a future design teacher (industrialdesign) at high school/college, it is of great interest for me to look closer at student’s attitude towards design and design educations at high school.Questions that have been investigated are student´s attitude towards design; design as a concept but also as a phenomenon. How does the student counselor inform the students of the differentchoices before choosing high school?Does the students view on design correspond to what the student counselor say?What opinion does the student counselor have to the concept design as well as design in highschool? Is design just a craze or here to stay?To get answers I have made interviews with student counselors at two different schools, I have also been in contact with a student counselor on the internet. Their thoughts will clarify thesituation that the students might be in.
Minimalist design for children?s games
The aim of this report is to see whether the graphic design of a game influences children?s will to play games. I am especially looking at minimalist graphic design and how well it works for a game aimed at children age 7-9. Does the style of the game design have any impact at all concerning the children?s wish to play the game or is the game mechanic all that matters.
