ABSTRACTUniversity: Växjö University, school of social science, department of political scienceLevel: Bachelor?s thesis in political scienceTitle: SHIFTING BALANCE OF POWER? ? an analyze of the new EU-treaty?s consequences for the EC-court.Academic adviser: Associate professor Stefan HöjelidAuthor: Magnus NordahlThis study focuses on the increased role of the European Court of Justice through the establishment of a Constitution for Europe and its impact on the balance of power, both horizontal and vertical.To do this, the study takes its aims from the research problem, formulated as follows:Does the establishment of a constitution for Europe contribute to an increased role for the European Court of Justice and does it create a more legible horizontal and vertical division of power?To reach the relevant analyses and conclusions two precise questions are presented as well as an analytical model. The precise questions are:? Which are the relevant contributions for the balance of power from a perspective of juridification in the new EU-treaty?? What impacts do those contributions have on the so called ?European federalism??The theoretical perspective of this study is rooted in the concept of federalism with special emphasizes on constitution and sovereignty as well as a part about the process of juridification. Along with the presented analytical model consisting of a horizontal and vertical division of power, the empirical material is presented with focus on the new EU-treaty about a constitution for Europe and the European Court of Justice.

The topic of this master thesis in legal science is state law and constitutional law, or more specific judicalization, with the division of power and thus increased individual legal rights in various forms. Sweden has traditionally had a weak constitutional protection for the individual?s legal rights. The public power has been concentrated to the government and the courts have only played a marginal role. Since the implementation of the European convention of legal rights and with the ever-increasing importance of the legal system of the European Union, the Swedish legal system gone through changes of historical dimensions.This master thesis is based on the legal dogmatic method where laws, preparatory work, case law and doctrines have been systemized.

Bakgrund: Cirka 25 procent av Sveriges bostäder utgörs av bostadsrätter.  Förvaltningen sker av bostadsrättsföreningarnas styrelser som i många fall består av lekmän. Styrelserna förvaltar stora belopp. Medlemmarna ska ta ställning till hur förvaltningen har skötts samt fastställa årsredovisningens resultat- och balansräkning och fastställa styrelsen förslag till resultatdisposition. Utgångspunkten för studien är att medlemmar upplevs ha låg förståelse av årsredovisningen. Syfte: Syftet är attbeskriva och förklara hur medlemmarna förstår innehållet i årsredovisningen och med utgångspunkt i resultaten diskutera hur man skulle kunna göra så att fler förstår årsredovisningen bättre. Metod: Arbetet består av en kvantitativ studie i form av en enkät till alla medlemmar i två bostadsrättsföreningar, kompletterad med en kvalitativ studie i form av intervjuer med sakkunniga. Resultat, slutsatser: Studiens resultat visar:-         att förståelsen för årsredovisningen är låg samt vilka begrepp i årsredovisningen                  som är svårare att förstå.-         att förvaltningsberättelsen, följd av resultaträkning och noterna är lättare att för-                 stå och att balansräkningen är svårast att förstå.-         att förståelsen ökar med engagemang samt ju längre tid medlemmen bott i för-                    eningen men även med deltagande i kursverksamhet för bostadsrättskunskap.-         att kön eller utbildningsnivå inte påverkar förståelsen.Med utgångspunkt i studiens resultat ges förslag på hur årsredovisningen kan bli en bättre informationsbärare på kort och lång sikt..

Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur elever tänker när de löser matematiska problem inom området division. Eleverna går i årskurs två och de ska lösa två olika divisionsuppgifter med hjälp av laborativt material. I vår undersökning har vi inspirerats av forskningsmetoden fenomenografi och sammanlagt har vi genomfört 16 kvalitativa intervjuer. Av analysen framgår det att elever har många olika tankar kring division och vi har totalt kunnat urskilja sju olika tillvägagångssätt i de båda divisionsuppgifterna. Det framkom även att det laborativa materialet har en stor betydelse för eleverna när de löser uppgifterna.?.

The integration policy in Sweden has received criticism for being disintegrating due to the structure of division between those that integrate and those who are to be integrated, a division between ?us? and ?them?. In 2010 the reform Act on introduction activities for certain newly arrived immigrants (2010:197), was carried out to facilitate the integration of newly arrived immigrants on the labor market. The purpose of this thesis is to study power and discrimination structures within the reform by applying an intersectional theoretical framework. Intersectionality is based on the notion that different forms of discrimination such as gender, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation etc.

 When a couple divorce or when couples move apart a division of property can be done. A married couple's property constitutes of joint property and private property. In a division of property between spouses is only the value of the joint property included, not the value of the private property. In a division of property between couples that live together but not a married their joint property that are bought to be used by them together will be included. Division med bråk är ett av de områden av skolans matematiska innehåll som både elever och lärare har svå-righeter med. I flera internationella studier har man funnit att lärares svårigheter delvis grundas i ett proce-durellt förhållningssätt till de lösningsmetoder som används vid division med bråk. Detta, i kombination med att lärare har svårt att konstruera realistiska förklaringsmodeller till sådana typer av uppgifter, påverkar även lärares undervisning.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka svenska högstadielärares ämneskunskaper och pedagogiska äm-neskunskaper om division med bråk. De frågeställningar studien ämnar besvara är vilka vanliga ämneskun-skaper och specialiserade ämneskunskaper lärare visar samt vilka pedagogiska ämneskunskaper om under-visning och pedagogiska ämneskunskaper om elever lärare visar om division med bråk.Fem matematiklärare i årskurs 7-9 utvaldes för kvalitativ intervju, där de både fick beräkna uppgifter med division med bråk samt beskriva hur de själva resonerar kring sin undervisning, elevers svårigheter och in-troduktion av division med bråk. I intervjuerna framkom att lärarna generellt visade prov på både goda äm-neskunskaper och goda pedagogiska ämneskunskaper..

This Master Thesis discusses the development of bids for regulation power with consideration of change of discharge. The study was initiated by Vattenfall PD and is a limited part of a substantial development project at the same division. The background of the project is the new demands from SvK, which among other things includes more detailed regulation bids. As from the 1st of November 2008, the regulation bids are supposed to be calculated regarding each specific regulation object, something that is defined by SvK. These new demands changes Vattenfall?s conditions and will increase the need for detailed knowledge about available regulation power and costs for regulation.In this study a strategy for regulation bids was developed.

Syftet med den här studien har varit att beskriva hur lärarens presentation av division i undervisningen för årskurs 3 påverkar elevernas val av strategier när de räknar division. Undersökningen genomfördes genom kvalitativa intervjuer med en lärare samt åtta elever. Vid intervjuerna fick eleverna räkna några tal och samtidigt förklara hur de tänker. Resultatet visar att eleverna till stor del använder sig av de strategier som läraren har presenterat i undervisningen. Dock var strategierna inte alltid effektiva.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur fotbollsdomare med varierad bakgrund presterade på ett mer specifikt uthållighetstest framtaget för fotbollsdomare baserat på deras rörelsemönster på planen. Undersökningen genomfördes på 17 stycken fotbollsdomare från 5 olika divisio-ner. I undersökningen användes två stycken undersökningsmetoder. För att mäta testresultatet användes ett nytt uthållighetstest specifikt för fotbollsdomare och för att få in data över do-marhistorik användes ett mindre frågeformulär. Resultaten visade på signifikanta skillnader i löpsträcka för division 2-domarna mot domarna i division 5 och division 7, det visade också på signifikanta skillnader i löpsträcka för domarna i division 3 mot domarna i division 5, divi-sion 6 och division 7.

Denna uppsats avhandlar 1st Marine Division och deras väg in i Irak under operation Iraqi Freedom. Syftet med uppsatsen är att verifiera om det var konceptet manöverkrigföring som 1st Marine Division använde sig av under invasionen? Det har sagts att amerikanerna använde sig av manöverkrigföring i denna operation. Jag ställer mig mer frågande om det verkligen var det konceptet som de använde sig av.För att svara på frågeställningen har jag först beskrivit vad manöverkrigföring är, därefter har jag gjort en fallstudie på 1st Marine Division och deras agerande under invasionen av Irak 2003. Vi följer divisionen från utgångsgrupperingen i Kuwait tills divisionen är inne i Bagdad.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka vilka lösningsstrategier som finns vid division, vilka som används vid av eleverna samt vilka lösningsstrategier som lärarna undervisar om i årskurs 5. För att ta reda på detta samlades data in genom enkäter där 77 elever deltog samt intervjuer med tre lärare och sju elever. Resultatet visar på att lärarnas lösningsstrategier inte stämmer helt överens med elevernas val av metod. Vid intervjuer med lärarna framkom det att lång division var den metod som användes mest frekvent. Multiplikation var det enda räknesätt som var inblandat vid utlärningen av division.

The purpose of the essay is to discuss from the theory about the established and the Outsiders if the Culture Centre Blå Stället can serve as a meeting point between the majority of the people and the minority of the people in Gothenburg. The idea of Blå Stället is that it shall work as a house available for everyone and as a cultural meeting point between people in and outside Angered. I argue if Blå Stället really is a place where people from Gothenburg as a whole go or if there are some hindrances for their visions. My study is comprised of interviews with three of the staff at Blå Stället. With the theory about the established and the outsiders I want to show that the division in the city between ?them? and ?us? has to do with differences of power.

We have studied how power is portrayed in Swedish journals by analyzing eight portraits of Swedish persons with economic or political power. We have studied how they and their power are described by the journalist in text and picture. We wanted to see which picture the journalist shows of people with power, what properties they are given by the journalist and how this picture is shown by the texts and the pictures. We have also looked if there are any differences between people with political power and people with economic power. We have under our studies noticed that the persons with power are described as very successful and special and this picture are shown in a very clear and unproblematic way..

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to examine what actually makes Russia an incomplete democracy, despite of all the formal democratic institutions and legal democratic rights.The research method used for this essay has been qualitative case study, which strives to answer two research questions: Which democratic principles are not respected in Russia? How does the executive power control the political arena? The theoretical framework used for this study consists of a model based on Dahls Polyarchy theory and the Rule of Law concept. The conclusions points out that very little have formally changed in Russia regarding democratic rights and the constitution. The democratic decline is due to political manoeuvres and undue political influence. There is no proper division of power and the executive powers are not controlled by a system of checks and balances.
