This is a report written for an examination project C-level, on the subject of energy. The examination project is a product of the FVB Sweden AB (district heating bureau). It started with a meeting with Stefan Jonsson FVB Sweden AB, were he explained the content of the project, and from this a presentation of the problem was made. The problem that needed to be solved was how they could control the valves in the system to provide heating to everyone in the system. The valves are often oversized so the pump in the heating plant would have to be enormous to be able to provide enough flow to be sufficient, if everyone in the system had there valves fully opened. I came up with two solutions to the problem, one was a wireless network that could keep track of the valves and the other solution was an extra sensor that was placed on the radiator.

To this day, battery of women is a global problem. The aim of this paper is to examine this problem in the country that is considered to be one of the most equal countries in the world, namely Sweden. How big a problem is it, what is the social outlook of the victim and how does the Swedish justice system respond to this issue? These are some of the questions that will help to form an answer to the question if Sweden is a sanctuary for femalebatterers.Due to the resistance of implementing the entire penalty scale and the use of judicial methods, such as restraining orders and its effect on the women, the conclusion drawn from the answers is yes - Sweden is that sanctuary. The Swedish justice system is not tough enough when it comes to the abuse of women.

The purpose of this thesis is to attain a deepened understanding concerning views on videogames at four Swedish public libraries, especially in relation to library practice and how videogames fit within this context. It also aims to provide insight as to why these libraries have included videogames in their collections and what thoughts were behind it. To fulfill this aim we conducted a qualitative hermeneutic study, using interviews as the main source of research material, but also written materials and a lecture on the city library of Malmö and how they work with videogames. The theoretical framework of the study is founded on Dorte Skot-Hansen?s and Douglas Raber?s theories on the values, roles and functions of public libraries.

Bullying is a widespread problem that currently exists in many places and in different age groups. In our paper we intend to focus on bullying in adult life. As many as 340,000 adult persons are subjected to victimization in the form of bullying, which is about 9 % of the working population. Between 100 and 300 cases of all suicides committed in Sweden can be linked to bullying. Bullying is a social problem that should be taken more seriously than it does.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa de problem som har uppstått då indiansk andlighet har blivit en vara som produceras och konsumeras inom New Age rörelsen. Studien har genom-förts genom att tillämpa kvalitativ textanalys på insamlat material mestadels från Internet. Det insamlade materialet består av annonser där man säljer olika former av indiansk andlig-het. Material som berör indianernas motstånd mot försäljningen av deras andlighet har också insamlats från Internet. Analysen av texterna visar att det framkommer stereotyper i annonse-ringen inom New Age, vilket blir ett problem för indianerna i form av tillskriven identitet.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vad gymnasielärare i ämnet matematik anser vara de största svårigheterna med undervisningen i sitt ämne. Jag har också undersökt vad matematiklärarna anser att de gör och kan göra utifrån nuvarande förutsättningar för att komma till rätta med eller minska de angivna svårigheterna och vilka andra förändringar de anser skulle behövas. Undersökningen baseras på telefonintervjuer med 7 matematiklärare som arbetar inom gymnasieskolan under vårterminen 2011. Resultatet har kategoriserats utifrån tre nivåer, individnivå, gruppnivå och organisationsnivå. Det kategoriserade materialet har sedan jämförts med kommande förändringar på skolområdet i och med att nya styrdokument införs från förskola till gymnasieskolan.

In this study, I have examined the previous Social Democratic government?s communication with the voters, focusing on its promises during election campaigns, and the presentation of achieved results. The theories used are the mandate- and sanction theory; the first focuses on voters comparing manifestos to find the most agreeable, whilst the latter concentrates on voters evaluation the work of the previous government, to either discharge or support it. For the sanction theory to work, voters must have the necessary information to evaluate the government in progress. The question is; did the previous government provide the voters with such information?This has been done through scrutinizing the Social Democrats? election manifestos that was used between 1994 and 2006, to examine what the party promised to achieve in economics and the labor market.

Introduktion: Val av läkemedelsform och lämplig administrationsmetod är mycket viktig för patienter med enteral sond. Administrering av orala läkemedel via sond kan leda till komplikationer som obstruktion av sond eller minskad läkemedelseffekt, varför noggrant val och iordningställande av beredningsformen behövs för att minska komplikationerna vid läkemedelsadministrationen. Syfte: Att genom en litteraturstudie svara på vilka problem som kan uppstå när läkemedel ska administreras via sond samt hur man kan lösa dessa problem. Metod: Litteratursökning i Pubmed/Medline, Cinahl, Ovid och Cochrane som resulterade i 14 artiklar, som behandlade administration av läkemedel i sond och olika problem som detta kan leda till. Resultat: Resultatet visar att det vanligaste förekommande problemet vid administration av läkemedel i sond är obstruktion och detta orsakas av olämpliga administrationsmetoder och okunskap om vilka läkemedel och beredningsformer som kan administreras via sonden.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva hur personer med stroke uppfattar den fysiska boendemiljöns användbarhet i dagliga aktiviteter. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 32 personer i åldern 48 till 83 år. Medelåldern var 69 år. De var bosatta i Västerbottens och Västernorrlands län. Studien genomfördes med en kvantitativ ansats med ett självskattningsinstrument, "Användbarheten i min bostad", som besvarades skriftligt.

I den svenska skolan idag har ca 15 % av eleverna utländsk bakgrund. Enligt Skolverketsstatistik så klarar de utländska eleverna sig sämre i de nationella proven i matematik än svenska elever. Syftet med studien är att se hur fyra elever med invandrarbakgrund klarar av problemlösning i en gruppdiskussion i matematik på gymnasienivå. Eleverna i studien är allafödda i Sverige med invandrade föräldrar.Den empiriska datan består av observation av en gruppdiskussion, när eleverna löser ett matematiskt problem, samt efterföljande enskilda intervjuer. Observationen analyserades utifrån problemlösningsprocessens fyra ingående delar: Förstå, Planera, Genomföra och Värdera.

Vi har i vårt samhälle idag en hög skilsmässostatistik. Individerna i parrelationer har problem att fungera tillsammans på ett tillfredställande sätt. Denna studie baseras på intervjuer med familjerådgivare som hanterar par som har problem i relationen. I undersökningen har jag valt att försöka svara på vad som familjerådgivaren anser kunna skapa höga förväntningar på relationen samt hur dessa förväntningar påverkar relationen. Den belyser även de aspekter som är viktiga för att en relation skall fungera och vad familjerådgivaren kan göra för par som har problem i relationen.

ABB Surge Arrestors in Ludvika have for a long time had a problem to keep the moisture at a steady state in the production of their ZnO-powder, that is used to produce varistors.Some black-box models of the spray drying process have been designed and evaluated to find a solution for the problem. After evaluating the collected data it has been found that variations in the supply voltage causes control difficulties for the operator. A cascade control system was designed, consisting of three PI control loops designed with lambda tuning. The disturbance in the supply voltagewas used as a feed forward in the control system.At the end of the project the control system was installed, and tests were made to verify the functionality of the regulator. It was shown that most of the variations in the moisture of the powder could be eliminated using small resources, through purchase of a process controller and four power meters.

SammanfattningI dagens krympande värld så tvingas allt fler företag ut på den internationella marknaden. Detta kan vara problematiskt för många små och medelstora företag då de saknar de resurser de behöver för att skaffa sig information om de nya marknaderna och deras kultur. Kulturen kan vara det som gör att företagen misslyckas, den kan även vara skälet till att de inte ens vågar försöka. Hofstedes modell om nationalkultur används som huvudteori i denna studie, men även fler teorier har studerats och jämförts med det empiriska materialet. De områden som studeras i huvudsak är kultur och globalisering och i uppsatsen dras paralleller mellan dessa två.   Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på vilka problem små och medelstora företag ser med kultur vid internationalisering samt hur dessa problem kan lösas.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine ideas used to legitimate Swedish digital libraries, with a focus on the cultural heritage, their relation to cultural policy and an eventual crisis within the latter. Which ideas are linked to digitalisation? How do the arguments for creating digital libraries differ between central actors? How do the digital libraries relate to cultural policy and an eventual legitimacy crisis? These are the questions this thesis seeks to answer. The theoretical starting-point consists of a legitimacy discussion and its connection to Swedish cultural policy. The method used is idea analysis.

This essay examines the historical development of group rights for cultural minorities in Sweden between the years 1970 and 2010. The purpose of the study is to analyze the development of political measures taken at government level for different minority groups, foremost explaining the division that have arisen between measures aimed at the five national minorities, the Sámi, the Swedish Finns, the Roma, the Jews and the Tornedalians, and measures directed at other ethnic groups.My conclusions are that the division in Swedish public policy between one the one hand national minorities, and on the other hand immigrant groups, is in no way self-evident. The division has arisen from an international standard on how democratic states, such as Sweden, should treat their cultural minorities. Further, this division has had an immense impact in shaping public policy as well as determining the type of group rights introduced for minority groups in Sweden.A difference has also been found in how the minorities are perceived by state actors. Immigrant groups are currently perceived as less entitled to group rights due to their short presence in Sweden, whereas national minorities are seen as more entitled to group rights due to their long historic presence in the country.
