The purpose of this study was to examine pedagogues? experience working with shy children and their opportunities for participation in preschool. An increasing number of children are registered in preschools today; this leading to larger groups of children and the chance for the individual child to practice its rights of having its voice heard are therefore becoming more difficult.The literature review will start with what the UNCRC and the pre-school curriculum, Lpfö 98, say about children?s participation and their right to have their voices heard. After that, shortly about the shy child, and then moving on to what is important in the work with children?s participation.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter med psykiatriska problem på en akutvårdsavdelning i södra Sverige. Tidigare forskning finns om sjuksköterskans attityder till att vårda patienter med psykiatriska problem, men kunskapen om sjuksköterskans faktiska upplevelse av att vårda denna patientgrupp är mindre studerad. I studien är det sjuksköterskans egen definition av vad som är ett psykiatriskt problem som ligger till grund för resultatet. Sex intervjuer har genomförts och transkriberats ordagrant. Materialet har analyserats med kvalitativ innehållsanalys inspirerad av Graneheim och Lundman (2004).

Matematiskproblemlösning blir en större och viktigare del av matematikundervisningen närtekniska hjälpmedel, som miniräknare och datorer, kan utföra många beräkningar.Undersökningens syfte är att se hur gymnasieelever löser matematiska problem. Vilka faktorer som påverkar vid problemlösning samt vilka moment eleverna har svårt för. Undersökningen genomfördes på en gymnasieskola I Halmstad där atta elever med varierande matematikkunskaper löste fyra problem och ingående redogjorde för hur de tänkte och gick tillväga. Teorikapitlet tar upp olika matematikdidaktikers syn på problemlösning, modeller för hur problemlösning går till och faktorer elever besitter som påverkar möjligheten att lösa problem. Jag har med hjälp av dessa modeller och påverkansfaktorer analyserat elevernalösningar enligt en modell bestående av tre delar: Identifiering, genomförande och kontroll av uppgiften.

This study is about different teacher?s ´conception of remedial classes and its function in Today´s School. ?A school for everyone? the utopia that all schools and teachers aspire for. All pupils, regardless of ethnic background, class, and religious affiliation should be able to go to school without being segregated and are seen as different.

The aim for my thesis has been to investigate how literature, or fiction, is used in management education. What books are used ? is there a literary leadership canon? What do the educators and the writers on this subject suggest that these books can teach the leaders? What are the philosophical foundations of this education? And ? last but not least ? does what the educators and writers offer respond to the needs of the businesses? My investigation shows that there is a canon in the area of management and fiction, where realistic 19th century novels, alongside with Shakespeare?s plays are dominant. Female writers and non-western writers are very underrepresented. The positive outcomes of reading and discussing these literary works that the educators and writers suggest do substantially correspond with the needs of the businesses, as presented by my sources.

The aim of this paper is to apply Robert N. Bellahs theory of civil religion, within a Swedish societal context. Bellahs theory was designed in, and influenced by American culture. Therefore, the ?translation? of Bellahs theory does not come without problems.

The purpose of my study is to gain insight into how the education system (particularly social studies) is morally-minded based on the governing documents, former students and a textbook. I wanted to find out what morally-minded means and if it has a big role in social studies. Through interviews with former high school students (when my thesis is aimed at high school) I wanted to find out how they felt their social studies were educational and which the values that they had taken on from the lessons. I also chose to analyze a textbook to get a broader understanding of how the morally-minded education is written in specific areas relating to social studies. My study is a qualitative study and what I came up with is that the former students consider their social studies teaching lacked to some degree when it came to the morally-minded education. My investigation concludes that the morally-minded education is important in social studies as the purpose of social studies is to promote active democratic citizens.

This thesis analyzes the media debates generated by the election of Omar Mustafa to the board of the social democratic party, and the appointment of the conservative Minister of Labour, Elisabeth Svantesson. More specifically, the aim is to analyze newspaper material through a discourse analyze, to see if and how religious affiliation effects the possibilities to act as a political representative. Theories of othering and intersectionality serve as theoretical points of departure. Further, chains of equivalence from Laclau and Mouffe?s discourse theory are used to study how categories as ?us? and ?the other? are constructed in the material, and how these processes of categorization relate to the intersection of religion, gender and ethnicity.

BAKGRUND:Det finns en stor mängd litteratur kring problemlösning. Den litteratur vi tagit upp anser vivara den mest relevanta för vår undersökning. Vi har med tre artiklar som belyser detaktuella forskningsläget.SYFTE:Syftet med studien är att undersöka elevers sätt att lösa och tolka en problemformuleradmatematisk text i år 3.METOD:Eleverna i undersökningen har löst ett öppet matematiskt problem, därefter har vi genomfört17 barnintervjuer i år 3.RESULTAT:Utifrån vår analys fann vi tre strategier i elevernas lösningsmetoder. Vi har kallat dem försymbolstrategi, bildstrategi samt text- och sifferstrategi. Vi har också funnit att eleverna haranvänt olika räknemetoder i sina lösningar, dessa är addition, multiplikation och i ett falldivision..

The bachelor thesis examines conceptions behind the Swedish public librarian?s opinions of the public library as a meeting place. The study uses the critical discourse analysis, developed by Ernest Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, to analyze a focus group interview. The discourse analysis identifies four themes in the empirical material: the imagined arena of the meeting place, the behaviour in the meeting place, the meeting place?s librarian and the polemic against the meeting place.

Many institutions currently work with visitor participation. Participatory culture is basically to invite visitors to participate and to give an opportunity to co-creation. In my research I have studied two projects. The first one is the exhibition Hej! produced by Postmuseum (the Swedish mail museum) and the second one is Present by Riksutställningar (a Swedish government).This development indicates that the museums are on their way towards a new definition. Earlier museums were defined as a source of knowledge which purpose was to spread lore to the people.

SAMMANFATTNINGSyfte: Uppsatsens syfte var att undersöka om det fanns några samband mellan ålder, iso-BMI, upplevt problem av övervikten och motivation till förändring hos barnen som behandlas på överviktsenheten för barn och ungdom. Metod: Designen var en tvärsnittstudie med kvantitativ ansats och materialet är delar av de anamnesformulär som barnen fyllt i inför nybesöket på överviktsenheten samt iso-BMI från sjukhusjournaler. Statistiska analyser gjordes i SPSS. I studien ingick 118 barn; 54 flickor och 64 pojkar.                                                                   Resultat: Studien visade att 94,4 % av flickorna och 76,6% av pojkarna upplevde att deras övervikt var ett problem.

The aim of this study was to describe how nurses cope with their daily stress at work. A literature review was made to answer the research question, data was gathered from two databases; Academic Search Elite and Medline (via Pubmed). The result which was based on 20 scientific articles showed that nurses used problem-focused and emotional-focused coping strategies to deal with the stress at work. Most of the nurses used emotional-focused coping strategies by practise some kind of physical activities, avoid and take distance from the problem. Using these strategies was negative correlated with burnout and psychological health.

This thesis has the purpose of developing a normative theoretical framework based on different political philosophers and scientists view on deliberative democratic theory, discourse ethics and a modified norm of citizenship. This framework is supposed to contain the ideal communicative situation for people seeking asylum. Hence, the thesis argues that political influence is best practised through communicative rights, and that people seeking asylum are in title to such rights. We conclude that the standards needed to be met in order to reach the ideal are: translators, translated information, arenas for- or channels of communication, language education, and deliberative education. Once the framework is established we focus our interest on the Swedish state.

From a historical perspective, Sweden is a classic example of a social democratic state in view ofits early development of labor movements, democracy and focus on the welfare state. Today, as amember state of the EU, Sweden has however come to be influenced by America?s neoliberalpolities, where companies need to deliver more and better products/services while the consumerawareness and sensitivity has increased about company?s way to invest. Research shows thatScandinavian companies, primarily in Denmark and Sweden, has a leading position when it comesto responsible corporate behavior which has been the reason to our choice of studying howSwedish companies do to achieve success in CSR. To carry out this study, we have usedqualitative analysis, using semi-structures to interview companies in different industry sectors.
