The purpose of this project was to evaluate how energy efficiently some of JM?s residential buildings can become in standard production. What kind of measures are needed to achieve the level of energy Demand that is included in BBR12 (Boverkets Byggregler)? What measures are needed for achieving a lower Demand so that the buildings could be classified as passive houses? The investigation has included a single family house and two different types of apartment blocks.The simulation programs Enorm and VIP+ have been used to calculate the energy Demand of the buildings. The results from the programs have been compared with the measured energy Demand for the three buildings.

Detta examensarbete har varit att ta fram ett koncept för ett second-screenlager till företaget Headwebs filmuthyrningstjänst. Denna rapport visar på hur tre second-screenfunktioner kan appliceras i en video on Demand-tjänst. De tre funktionerna som applicerades var att som användare via sin second-screen välja på vilken enhet man vill se sin film, kontrollera filmens playbackkontroller och välja ut små filmklipp från filmen och dela dessa på sociala medier.Resultatet blev ett lo-fi-prototyp som visar hur de tre funktionerna kan appliceras på Headwebs iPadtjänst och listar för- och nackdelar med de olika konceptet..

The study examines the price elasticity of Demand for cigarettes in the short- and long run in Sweden. The time period for the study is 17 years and covers the years 1996-2012. The results of the study shows that the price elasticity of Demand for cigarettes in the long run is higher than in the short run for the Swedish consumers, which is in line with previous studies in the area. The fact that the price elasticity of Demand for cigarettes is higher in the long run, indicates that the substitution effect has a significant impact on the price elasticity of Demand for cigarettes in the long run. The study was conducted in two parts where the authors investigated the effect of cigarette tax on cigarette prices and in addition the cigarette prices impact on the Demand for cigarettes in Sweden.

An organization must manage its resource consumption and material flows in order to satisfy the Demand of its products as efficiently as possible. Managing of the aforementioned requires a balance between the organizations resources (such as the capability of distribution and production) and the market Demand. According to Gardner (1990), an estimation of future Demand is a necessity for maintaining the balance. An instrument that is used frequently to estimate future Demand is Demand forecasting. The Demand forecasting practice has been thoroughly studied and a plethora of academic contributions exist on the topic.

Our purpose with this qualitative study is to investigate how teachers experience their work situation, using Karasek and Theorell?s Demand-, control- and support model. The study is based upon ten semi-structured interviews with gymnasium teachers. The interviews were transcribed and coded with three different themes; Demand, control and support. We analyzed the results with Karasek and Theorell?s mentioned model.

This thesis deals with the concept of how price affects Demand for a good by estimating various price elasticities of Demand for snu sold in Sweden. Information was gathered on price development for snus and cigarettes as well as sales data from Swedish Match, the largest supplier of snus in Sweden. Income-, price- and cross-price elasticities were estimated based on log-log regression. Results show that snus is an inelastic good since the coefficient for price of snus was -0.536. This proved that a 1% increase in price causes a 0.536% decrease in quantity Demanded.

Intelligent IT-based solutions, often called Smart Grids, are considered to be the future balancers of renewable energy sources. One area within the Smart Grid concept is called Demand response, which is focused on making customers more consumption flexible by making them more active in their consumption. In this thesis the aim is to analyze a business model by investigating the income potential for a Demand response solution as well as its market potential. This has been done through literature studies, interviews and development of a computational model.The use of 5000 households with flexible consumption can provide a cost reduction of 17.2% or 2.4 million SEK for a balance responsible party during an average year. If the solution is used to make strategic bids on the regulation markets the study indicates that the largest potential for revenues lies within this strategy.

How the Eucharist?s motive of communion in combination with Lögstrup?s ethics could motivate a non-alcoholic sacramental wine in the Church of Sweden.The purpose of this essay is to illuminate the meeting between the person who gives out bread and wine in the Eucharist and the person who receives the wine, from tree perspectives: the communion in the Eucharist, the ethical Demand of K.E. Lögstrup, and today?s knowledge of alcohol and it?s negative effects on the human being. I want to study how these three perspectives can affect the interpersonal meeting in the Eucharist when it comes to giving out alcoholic wine, and to investigate if Lögstrups ethical Demand could be used by the Church of Sweden when to decide about a sacramental wine with or without alcohol.I have started to study K.E Lögstrup and his theory about the ethical Demand, and then researched the Eucharist in the Church of Sweden and the results of recent sociological and medical research of alcohol?s effect on the individual and on society.

This thesis is about pricing of ice hockey tickets in Swedish ice hockey. Ice hockey is a large sport in Sweden, with clubs that more and more are acting like companies. These clubs tend to build new arenas that in many ways change basic variables.The thesis is an analytic thesis based on information about the clubs and interviews. The purpose is to study the basic variables for pricing of tickets in Swedish ice hockey. Furthermore the pricing itself and its connection to the new arenas are studied.The focus of the thesis is on the three clubs HV 71, Färjestads BK and Linköpings HC.

AbstractThe customer Demand for ecological products has increased in recent years, within the garden industry this mainly concerns herbs and other edible plants. The organic trend is increasing and more people are aware of the environment and want to take responsibility for it through their purchases for their garden as well.In this essay the aim is to investigate customer Demand and the possibility of selling organicperennial plants in eight garden centres on the Åland islands and in Gävle/Sandviken. I include two garden centres with an organic profile to get a wider point of view. I investigate the global market for organic perennials and look further into existing certification standards on the Swedish market today.The methods I have been using are interviews and a literature study.The study shows that the experienced Demand for organic perennials is small in both of myinvestigated groups. The biggest motivation for starting to sell organic perennials would be to find a supplier of these plants and that more customer would ask for them.

In 2003 the libraries of ten municipalities in the northern part of Sweden were each given 10 000 (SEK) by the BIN-project to purchase books on Demand instead of making inter-library loans. This attempt was called Köpa på efterfrågan (Purchasing on Demand). The purpose of this master thesis is to evalutate Köpa på efterfrågan. The results of the evaluation show that the books purchased on Demand were quite popular. Almost all the purchased books were non-fictional with most books being bought within the field of medicin.

The subordinate data were collected before the interview occasion, this because to develop the interview questions.Conclusion: The authors has come to a conclusion that larger the closed company is, the more of them will keep audit.

Electricity production from renewable energy resources such as wind energy and photovoltaics is variable. Integration of these intermittent resources into the electricity system leads to new challenges in how to manage imbalance between supply and Demand on the grid.One way to meet these challenges is to develop so-called smart grid solutions. One idea, called Demand response, is to adjust the amount or timing of energy consumption, e.g. by control of household appliances, to provide flexibility that could be used to balance the grid. In aggregate, when applied to many units across the system, large volumes of energy could be made available when needed and this grid flexibility can be used as a product on the electricity regulation market.Despite the potential benefits, the number of Demand response bids is currently low.

The purpose of this essey is through empirical methods investigate usability factors on Video On Demand applications for the Internet. More specificly we will focus on a application called Voddler. The purpose is to identify usability problems that exist in Voddler, and present the reader with suggestions on possible solutions. This could be used as guidelines to how to design for usability in this kind of system. We will use an online survey to investigate Voddler usability and use this data as a basis for our analysis.

This paper examines what affects the Demand for five Swedish ethical funds between the years 1997-2007. The purpose of this study is to examine if there is a relation between fund value and other values than just financial. This study examines if the number of conflicts in the world and the media?s coverage of the climate change debate could have an impact on the Demand for ethical fund. A multiple linear regression shows that we don?t have a significant result from the examined variables except for household wealth.
