The following study examined whether similarities in motor speech deficits in Parkinson?s disease and in developmental stuttering could be observed. Furthermore, intelligibility was examined. Assessments of 16 people with Parkinson?s disease, 35 people with developmental stuttering and 49 matched controls were performed with the tests Dysartribedömningen and the Swedish Test of Intelligibility.

Aim. The aim of this study is to analyze the living conditions of physically disabled people from the viewpoint of sexuality issues with regards to personal assistance services, identity and attitudes in society on disability and sexuality. Background. Not much research is done on sexuality issues for physically disabled people. Even though we live in a society where sexuality takes up a lot of space in the media, the culture and is acknowledged to be of great importance for every person?s wellbeing, the sexuality of disabled people is often not recognized and discussed.

Ashtanga är en kraftfull yogaform där förbestämda positioner knyts samman med hjälp av en återkommande rörelsesekvens, vinyasan. Yoga har visat ha effekt på psykiska förmågor såsom ökad koncentrationsförmåga, samt fysiska förmågor som ökad syreupptagningsförmåga och ledrörlighet. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur ashtangayoga fyra dagar i veckan under åtta veckor påverkade koncentrationsförmåga, syreupptagningsförmåga och rörlighet hos två friska individer. Metod: Två kvinnor, 25 och 29 år gamla tränade under åtta veckor ashtangayoga fyra dagar i veckan.

The purpose of this study is to get an idea of how active teachers in various stages are defining and working with values in their activities, and to highlight the similarities and differences in the way that they are working on this in the various stages. Qualitative interviews with teachers in preschool, primary education and recreational centres are the basis of the results.The study provides an overview of previous research in the area, and has a theoretical basis in Vygotskys sociocultural theory. The results show that respondents believe that the definition of values lays in relational values, which show us how to behave against fellow human beings. The way to work with value education proves to be different among educators, and we can divide them into different camps based on their attitude to value education. These attitudes are shown to be of importance for how the value education is designed..

AbstractThe overall aim of this study is to show how phonological awareness develops during the first school year and how this can be affected by different teaching materials and working methods. Two classes are compared in the study. One of the classes has digital teaching material and the other class has traditional teaching material. The study seeks to show to what extent there are differences between the groups? phonological awareness.

Könsskillnader i kognitiva förmågor antas vanligtvis bero på en kombination av evolutionära, sociala och biologiska orsaker. En kompletterande förklaring presenteras i denna undersökning, nämligen betydelsen av ohälsa. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hälsans betydelse för könsskillnader i prestation på test av verbalt flöde och visuospatial förmåga, två kognitiva funktioner där forskningen har dokumenterat könsskillnader. 32 kvinnliga och 21 manliga psykologistudenter som i genomsnitt var 29 år deltog. De kontaktades genom ett anslag vid Psykologiska institutionen i Stockholm.

AbstractIn this study you are going to meet the Nordic Good Thor. I will present a short historic presentation of the Nordic mythology, about the Ragnarok and also I will give a short presentation on several other Gods. I have done three film analyses on movies about Thor. The movies are Thor, The Avengers and Thor- the Dark World. I have compared these three movies about Thor with the Thor that is presented in the literature. I have seen closely on the appearance of Thor, his character and his family situations.

The purpose of this study was to examine psychosomaticsymptomsissuesamongst children and adolescents between the ages of 0-18 years and to clarify the underlying factors.Method: Literature study based on 10 scientific articles.Results: Psychosomatic issues amongst children and adolescents, due to stress, were common in Europe and Scandinavia. The symptoms varied between gender and age. The underlying factors were mainly school environmental issues, home conditions, socio-economic situations and disputes with teachers and peers. The symptoms varied from headache, gastro intestinal problems and insomnia to eating disorders, depression and pounding heart.               Conclusion: The future of children?s psychosomatic health depends on interventions on all levels of society since they are affected by everything from school environment and home conditions to unemployment and recession..

   Kroppens syreupptagningskinetik innebär hur snabbt syreupptagningsmekanismerna i kroppen ökar mängden upptaget syre (O2) vid ett påbörjat arbete. Detta påverkar oss dagligen genom att en snabbare reaktion leder till en mindre syreskuld efter arbetet. Syftet med studien var att jämföra VO2-kinetiken mellan ett arm- och benarbete och ett rent benarbete och försöka hitta skillnader mellan dessa. Åtta måttligt tränade försökspersoner (sex män och två kvinnor) rekryterades och fick genomgå tre tester på en specialbyggd arm- och bencykelergometer. Testerna bestod av ett VO2-maxtest (kombinerad arm- och benarbete), ett submaximalt arm- och bentest (AB) och ett submaximal bentest (B) på samma absolut arbetsintensitet (65 % av VO2max) där VO2-kinetik mättes under fyra minuters arbete.

This paper intends to examine how parents think and reflect on gender issues when they borrow books for their children at the library. The theory applied is Yvonne Hirdman?s theory of a gender system. A questionnaire was made available at the Children's department of Uppsala City Library in February, 2010. The material was compiled and analyzed with the intention to try to detect trends, patterns and themes, rather than statistics and hard data.Parents in the study perceive themselves as gender-conscious.

SammanfattningInom den kommunala rehabiliteringen möter arbetsterapeuten personer med vitt skilda slag av sjukdomar och funktionsnedsättningar. En av de vanligare grupperna är personer, som av olika skäl drabbas av kognitiva nedsättningar. Arbetsterapeuten bedömer personer med kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar bl.a. med hjälp av olika bedömningsinstrument. Screening -instrumentet Mini Mental Test (MMT) är ett av de mest använda.

Baled silage has become one of the most important conservation methods in Sweden. Because we take our grass as silage we get the quality and the good hygenic that we would like to have. Silage has become a big buisiness also in the horse feeding where many of the breeders have changed from the hay to the hay-silage. The difference between regular silage and haysilage is that the hay silage is dryer (60-70%DM). The hay-silage has also put higher demands on machinery and wrapping material since the grass gets sharper and harder to press together real hard. The main reason for the test was to compare two different systems for wrapping, the new Cross Pac and conventional.

During the past few years an increased attention has been paid to environmental issues in the construction and property sector in Sweden. In order to simplify the work with these issues a Swedish environmental certification system for buildings called Miljöbyggnad has been developed. This thesis aims to investigate the opinion of a selected number of selected property owners of Miljöbyggnad. From that basis recommendations and actions for the future work with the system will be presented.The investigation has been conducted through personal interviews with five property owners. The main issues that the interviews have been based on are their purpose, experiences, perceived complications and future prospects in terms of certification using Miljöbyggnad.The system intends to be cost-effective, simple and to offer a relevant environmental assessment of buildings and the result from the report indicates that this is largely fulfilled.

According to the National Agency for Education 06-06-2010 are approximately 115 000 students graduating from Secondary School in the year of 2010.Out of these students, we know that thousands of them are hampered by reading and writing disabilities in various degrees. Have these students been given the best support needed when it comes to writing and reading?Compensation may be perceived as a goal for the pupil to catch up with the rest of the educational group or as a vehicle to go round the difficulties. In Sweden, diagnosed dyslexics are not allowed to use speech synthesis, a compensatory technical aid, during the 9th degree national tests.This study?s purpose is to discover if the usage of speech synthesis during the national test of Swedish and reading comprehension might work as a motivation booster for the students and consequently increase their test scores.This is a quantitative study including study including 15 pupils with diagnosed reading and writing disabilities.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det finns skillnad i rörelsekontroll av ländryggen mellan personer med ospecifik ländryggssmärta och friska.Metod: Två sjukgymnaster bedömde hur 36 videofilmade försökspersoner (18 personer med ospecifik ländryggssmärta och 18 friska) klarade att utföra de tre testen; stående knälyft, statiskt och dynamiskt utfallssteg. Bedömarna, som var vana att bedöma rörelsekontrolltest, granskade videofilmerna och antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment av testen antecknades på ett standardiserat protokoll. Analys av skillnader i rörelsekontroll mellan grupperna avseende antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment beräknades med Mann-Whitney U test. För analys av skillnader mellan grupperna avseende antalet personer med helt korrekt utförda test användes Chi 2-test. Signifikansnivån sattes till p<0.05.Resultat: Ingen signifikant skillnad i rörelsekontroll mellan grupperna påvisades för antalet icke korrekt utförda delmoment för alla test sammantaget (p= 0.15) eller för de tre testen var för sig (stående knälyft p= 0.39, statiskt utfallssteg p= 0.13, dynamiskt utfallssteg p= 0.06).
