Respiratorisk sinusarytmi under påverkan av emotionell stimuli: en studie av emotionell påverkan från biologiska och ickebiologiska hotrelaterade bilder.
In this paper respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) was examined in relation to two kinds of threatening pictures, biological and nonbiological. Based on the results of prior research the hypothesis was claimed to note a difference between the two types of pictures regarding RSA and gender differences regarding cardiac activity due to the emotional stimulus. ECG and respiration were collected from 36 adults, 17 women and 19 men. There were no significant relationship between the different types of threatening pictorial stimuli, and no significant effects of gender were found. The results support some of the prior research on the topic but are in conflict with other.

The purpose of this study is to compare social media's role in the proactive crisis communication planning in two administrations, two companies and two non-profit organizations. A qualitative comparative study method has been used and people familiar with social media and crisis communications work from each business has been interviewed. The interviews have been transcribed and analyzed to discover the opinions and reasoning about how businesses work with proactive crisis communication and the role they give social media. The interviews were analyzed based on selected theories and previous research in strategic crisis communications, where issues management and crisis communication plans have a significant role. Also research on the pros and cons of social media and crisis communications channels have been used.
?Hjärtat känns inte svart längre? : En kvalitativ studie om hur den kriminella bakgrunden kan påverka ungdomars identitet
The aim of the study is to gain a deeper understanding of how young people's current identity is affected by their criminal background. We also want to understand the impact of resources in these young people?s social networks (that is their social capital) on their life course and formation and reformation of their identity. The theoretical frameworks used (as a tool to be able to analyze the empirical data) are theories of stigma, identity and social capital. The empirical study was conducted using semi-structured interviews that focused on questions about the life-story of informants.

In this paper we investigate how the possibility of mobility affects the frequency of blogposts andthe use of pictures in blogs and the content of the pictures. The purpose of this paper is toinvestigate what bloggers do with the possibility of mobility and how it effects the blog. Here weonly focus on smartphones. This qualitative study examines how emergency people are framed in Swedish evening-, and local newspapers during the forest fire in Va?stmanland, Sweden 2014. The study also includes if there is any difference between the framing due to the location of the newspaper. The study is based on qualitative text analysis. The theoretical basis is representation, framing theory, media image, media logic and a few conceptions from crisis communication theory.
Utan dig och mig är det ingenting : En kvalitativ studie om projektet Vimmerbymodellens betydelse för ensamkommande ungdomar
The aim of this study has been to investigate the significance of the newly started project Vimmerbymodellen for unaccompanied young refugees. This regarding to how the unaccompanied young refugees are participating in creating networks and meeting points in the local community. Vimmerbymodellen is described as an integration project where the nonprofit sector collaborates with the municipality. The empirical material has been collected through semi-structured qualitative interviews where five unaccompanied young refugees and four involved adults have been interviewed. The empirical material from these interviews has thereafter been analyzed through the concept of social capital, identity and empowerment.The main result of this study shows that participation in the project is expected to contribute to the creation of networks and meeting points which has significance for unaccompanied young refugees.
Äldre personers sociala interaktioner omkring Facebook®
Den ökade tillgången till datorer samt den ökade enkelheten att använda datorer och internet har ökat mängden personer över 65 år som använder sociala nätverk. Tidigare forskning visar bland annat att personer över 65 känner sig i större utsträckning mer ensamma och isolerade. Annan tidigare forskning menar att internetanvändarna som är över 55 år ökar avsevärt och att detta beror på den ökade tillgängligheten samt kunskaperna rörande datorer och internet. I studien genomfördes 15 kvalitativa intervjuer, med respondenter som rekryterades genom en kombination av ett kriteriebaserat urval samt snöbollsurval. Resultatet visade att Facebook bland annat har bidragit till ett ökat kontaktnät samt ett förbättrat informationsflöde när det gäller familj och vänner.

With the expansion of the internet, the conditions for the online journalists have changed. Feedback is faster and more blatant than offline. The online abilities of anonymity and dispersion attracts people to both use and misuse. During 2013, the online expressions of hate towards women has been brought to attention in the media more than ever before. Nevertheless, the phenomenon is far from new.Our qualitative research including interviews intends to find out how the afflicted women journalists are affected in their exercise of their profession.

I detta arbete undersöks vilka juridiska konsekvenser som uppstår då kommuneranvänder sig av det sociala nätverket Facebook. Arbetet är riktat ur ettkommunalrättsligt perspektiv med syftet att komplettera de riktlinjer som förnärvarande finns på ämnet. Arbetet ställer Facebooks funktioner mot lagstiftning somberör offentlighet och sekretess, grundläggande rättsprinciper och den kommunalakompetensen. The rise of social media has put a focus on the division of owned, paid and earned media, where earned media has recently been hyped at the expense of owned and paid media. Due to a novel area we examine the differences and effects of using owned and paid media, specifically for packaging versus newspapers. Owned and paid media showed no significant differences regarding credibility, persuasion and perceived commerciality, which restored owned media?s status, especially since owned media is more cost efficient. The effects of allowing ads for external brands on the owned medium were also studied.
Mortalitet hos Newfoundland : med fokus på dilaterad kardiomyopati
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is the second most common heart disease in dogs. Since the disease is seen more frequently in certain breeds, among them Newfoundland dogs, a genetic factor is suspected. This study was partly undertaken to investigate whether there is a significant sex predilection regarding DCM. Moreover, the difference in mean age of death between male dogs and females with DCM was investigated, as well as males and females dying from DCM compared to dying from other reasons (i.e. without DCM).

Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in podcast listening in Sweden. As a result, podcasts has become attractive in marketing purposes among enterprises and organizations. It has also been revealed that the messages about products advertised in podcasts not only spread among the listeners, but also among their friends when publishing on social media. Research in this area has shown that messages spread on social media is a process which not only involve the transmitter and the receiver but also a third party, that is other individuals in the receivers network. This study reveals possible reasons to how and why listeners of the podcast spread commercial messages on social media.In order to identify general trends and to acquire an understanding of the phenomenon about podcasts a case study on Fredagspodden, produced by Hannah Widell and Amanda Schulman, was done.

Uppkomsten av personliga varumärken har gett varje person möjligheten attutforma sitt eget varumärke för att differentiera sig från andra aktörer i branschen. Inommusikindustrin används personliga varumärken frekvent för att differentiera sig. Genom attanvända sociala nätverk kan artister kommunicera sina personliga varumärken i en ny kanal.Med sociala nätverk kan man ta del av kända artisters kommunikation oberoende av tid ochrum. Forskning kring kombinationen av personal branding och sociala nätverk, är idagbristfällig.
Sociala relationer på Facebook : En studie om Facebook som ett socialt rum
Facebookanvändandet ökar i alla åldrar i Sverige. 2010 var hälften av alla svenskar med i ett eller flera sociala nätverk (Findal, 2010). Användarna skickar meddelanden, skriver statusuppdateringar, laddar upp bilder, planerar evenemang och chattar med sina Facebookvänner som ofta består av en blandning av familj, släkt, vänner och ytligt bekanta. Med tanke på blandningen av Facebookvänner uppstår frågan om hur de sociala relationerna ser ut och fungerar på Facebook. Skiljer de sig från fysiska sociala relationer och i sådant fall på vilka sätt? Tidigare forskning i ämnet visar att på Facebook kommunicerar vi ofta med personer som vi är ytligt bekanta med.
