The aim of this study is to describe how nature is portrayed in swedish poet and critic Aase Berg?s two earliest poetry collections, Hos rådjur (1997) and Mörk materia (1999), and how it relates to notions of humanity, culture and civilisation. The concept of ?nature? is problematized in a short survey of how it has been used by and critizised in ecocritical literary theory, which is used as the main theoretical framework for this survey, with an emphasis on selected theoretical concepts by Donna Haraway. As a methodological starting point, ?nature? is tentatively defined as ?that which does not let itself be subsumed under the human, culture or civilisation?, and this definition is contrasted with how the concepts are handled in the texts.The investigation shows that the relationship of nature to the human is a fundamental theme that provides a structure for both poetry collections.

WesDyne TRC AB is a fully owned subsidiary of the global WestinghouseElectric Corporation. WesDyne is a world leader in non-invasive methods for theinspection of nuclear power plants. One of the inspection platforms used to scanfor defects in and around the welds in the reactor vessel is called the T-crawler.The T-crawler operates under water in a radioactive environment by stepping onthe vessel (reactor tank) inner wall using suction cups. The environment is harshand many traditional positioning sensors are not suitable for implementation. Thisthesis investigates the possibility to use a gyroscope and a pressure sensor tocreate an alternative and independent positioning system.

The purpose of this essay is to study two film adaptations of the original Planet of the Apes novel and see what kind of relationship the two adaptations have with each other. The main question is if the secondary film adaptation is restricted by the primary and if the relationships between these two are as two separate adaptations or as a remake of an adaptation. What the results of the study show is that the secondary adaptation can not be seen as a remake even though it gets some of its inspiration from both the original story as well as the primary adaptation. The secondary adaptation is, however, restricted in what it can adapt due to the primary adaptation having the first pick, at least if the secondary adaptation wishes to be a whole new adaptation and not a remake of the primary. The study shows also that the fidelity in the secondary adaptation is not necessarily to either the original or the primary but to the knowledge the audience has about the Planet of the Apes universe which they have gathered from all of the important versions of the story.

The aim of this master´s thesis is to analyse what factors have an impact on the quality of school libraries. The research questions are: How do some school principals, school librarians and school inspectors view quality in school libraries and what has an impact on quality?How do they view some existing quality criteria?How important do they think the integration of the school library into the curriculum is?The theoretical approach is derived from research about school libraries by David Loertscher and by Sharon Markless and David Streatfield. The empirical material has been collected through half structured qualitative interviews. The informants chosen are principals and school librarians from three Swedish primary schools (6-15 years).

Jag avser i den här studien undersöka och diskutera hur man kan stimulera personer med hörselskada att utveckla ett framgångsrikt sätt att kommunicera med sin omgivning. Jag har studerat studenter med hörselskada som i en handledarutbildning använt sig av Berg & Borgs fyrfältsmodell, som beskriver förhållningssättet hos människor med hörselskada i olika kommunikationssituationer med sin omgivning. Genom att placera motpolerna agera ? reagera respektive offensivt ? defensivt i ett fyrfältsdiagram kan den hörselskadade själv analysera sitt eget agerande.  De strategier, redskap och processer som används av människor med hörselskador för att hantera kommunikationen har jag valt ett samlingsnamn för - hörselskadepraktikens område. Syftet med studien är att undersöka och diskutera om Berg & Borgs fyrfältsmodell kan användas som modell i handledarutbildningen för att stimulera till reflektion och medvetandegöra tyst kunskap inom hörselskadepraktikens område. Jag ska också undersöka och diskutera om deltagarna utvecklar ett handledarpedagogiskt förhållningssätt gentemot sin omgivning.

Med hjälp av teorier och slutsatser från filmteoretiker så som Michel Chion, David Sonnenschein och Klas Dykhoff, har vi till kortfilmen Alla ljuger skapat en ljudläggning med fokus på narrativa ljud utanför den rörliga bilden. Vårt resultat syftar till att skapa grunden till en svensk standardisering av de existerande teorier och metoder för gestaltning av akusmatiska ljud i film. Den blivande pappan genomgår en transition när den gravida kvinnan väntar barn. Det sker en rollförändring från att vara partner till att även bli pappa. En annan syn på faderskapet har växt fram och många föreställningar förekommer om hur en bra pappa ska vara idag. Syftet med studien var att belysa graviditeten och vägen mot föräldraskapet ur blivande förstagångspappors perspektiv genom att analysera deras bloggar. Som forskningsmetod har kvalitativ ansats med innehållsanalys använts.

The theologian Sarah Coakley has developed a theological method, which she calls théologie totale.This essay examines the methodological criteria for this method. To understand how its anthropology, epistemology and theology are shaped, the criteria are analyzed within a theoretical framework, in which mainly David F. Ford's theological typology and Stephen Bevans models of contextual theology play parts. The material consists of Coakleys texts, essentially the first part of Coakley?s projected systematic theological work.

The aim of this master's degree dissertation is to compile examples of different ways of planning, implementing and following up the organisation of two integrated libraries, which serve both the general public and the school. In order to respond to this, we formulated the all-embracing question: How best can the integration of libraries for schools and the general public be planned, implemented and followed up? This formulation gave rise to four further questions. In order to answer these questions, the problem formulated and our basic aim, we have studied the relevant literature on school libraries, libraries for the general public, and integrated libraries. These sources comprise official reports on this theme, dissertations, and more topical articles.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera filmen Waking Life (Richard Linklater, 2001) utifrån David Bordwells narratologiska perceptionsteorier för att tydliggöra filmens narrativa konstruktion på ett kognitivt plan.På senare år har det kommit allt fler filmer som utmanar åskådaren med ett experimentellt berättelseformat. Waking Life tillhör den gruppen men lämnar också extra rum för åskådarens egna tolkningar.Genom ett fokus på filmens protagonist och dennes öde så riktar uppsatsens näranalys in sig på filmens underliggande berättelse, som i filmen döljer sig och samtidigt blandas med filmens filosofiskt inriktade innehåll.Näranalysen anknyter ständigt till Bordwells teorier som också visar sig vara väl användbara för en grundläggande linjär analys, men uppmärksammar samtidigt vissa av teorins brister. Sammanfattningsvis förtydligar uppsatsen detta genom att peka på vikten av åskådarens medvetenhet om vem eller vilka det är som egentligen berättar en film. This master thesis deals with the differences in the design of the environmental scanning between different kinds of organisations, as well as the demands and regulations etc. in the respective environments that influence the environmental scanning. The content of the environmental scanning and the organisation of the function are outside the scope of this study. Two organisations that do not have an organised function but are scanning their environment were chosen for the investigation. A model for conducting the environmental scanning developed by Frankelius is used to analyse the practice of environmental scanning.
