This paper deals with the use of Internet at Swedish public libraries. The author asks whether public libraries should or should not limit access to information available on the Internet. Starting from the American discussion, concerning Internet at public libraries, the author shows the Swedish attitudes. The paper demonstrates that many Swedish public libraries have adopted rules forbidding retrieval of certain kinds of information, such as hard-core pornography and racist propaganda. The persons in charge of such actions claim that public libraries should provide high-quality educational literature and should not spread mass-produced, provocative information.

Purpose: To analyze and clarify differences between indie and major labels in the use of and attitude towards the Internet as a marketing and distribution channel.Method: In this study, we use mostly qualitative but also quantitative methods. Representatives from four record labels, two indie and two major labels have been interviewed, and we have also examined the companies? activities on the Internet.Conclusions: This study points to a number of differences between indie and major labels. Indie labels are generally more open to business development and innovation. As for marketing, indie labels make use of web services such as Myspace and Facebook to a greater extent than major labels.

This essay is written at the university of Linköping and is a part of the teachers education. The intire essay is available on CD-rom. Its content is directed towards teachers who entirely or partly works, or want to work, in computereducation. The CD-rom contains both textmaterial and presentations, with teacherinstructions, wich are directly appliable in teaching computers. The teachingmaterial on the CD-rom is based on an empiric survey with different computerteachers.

Att handla på Internet har blivit mycket populärt. Allt fler företag öppnar handelsportaler på Internet där konsumenten kan köpa företagets produkter. I och med att kunden inte kan se produkten i verkligenheten, utan bara som en bild på Internet, händer det att kunden blir missnöjd med produkten och väljer att returnera den. Produkter som säljs på Internet har en tendens att returneras i högre grad än andra produkter som säljs på traditionellt sätt. När det gäller betalningen av produkterna har konsumenterna många olika betalningssätt att välja bland.

The purpose of my study is to examine why five primary school teachers chose to start using the method ?Learning reading by writing on computer? in their teaching. How do they perceive that the method works in their classroom and do they perceive that the method affect the children?s literacy?The study consists of a qualitative method in form of interviews with five primary school teachers and also some observations made by me in the classrooms. I will use the findings I made during the interviews and observations and contrast these to relevant literature and research that I have collected.The result of my study shows that all of the interviewed teachers had a self-interest in working with the method ?Learning reading by writing on computers? and that they also worked closely with colleagues.

Theories about exposure and risk-taking in an everyday environment show a connection between parental strategies, parent-child relationship and exposure on the Internet. In the present study, the Internet is presented as an everyday activity. Negative exposure is seen as an outcome of risk-taking. The purpose of the study was to examine in what way parental strategies together with the parent-child relationship were related to the teenagers? negative experiences on the Internet, which consisted of three categories: 1) Exposure to pornographic sites, 2) Exposure to upsetting and violent material, 3) Digital bullying.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to study librarians? views on children and young people as Internet users in Swedish libraries. It examines what types of problems and possibilities the librarians see with children?s and young people?s use of the Internet, how these problems might be solved, and what they think about regulations and filters. Qualitative interviews were conducted with nine librarians, and their statements were analysed with David Buckingham?s After the death of childhood as a theoretical foundation.

Skolan är en arbetsplats där lärare ska lära elever för framtiden med olika hjälpmedel. I studien lyfts lärares uppfattningar till datoranvändning som ett hjälpmedel till läs- och skrivinlärning i skolan. Tolkningen är att datoranvändningen speglar samhällsutvecklingen och avsikten är att ta reda på om datorer används i ett didaktiskt syfte i undervisningen. Fokus läggs på att få kunskap om vilka olika uppfattningar det finns bland lärare i årskurs 1-3 gällande datoranvändning som hjälpmedel vid läs- och skrivinlärning. Studien är kvalitativ och bygger på fem intervjuer, vilka är genomförda på fyra olika skolor.

I detta examensarbete har 31 enkäter delats ut till privatpersoner. Syftet med detta arbete är att belysa några faktorer vilka kan tänkas påverka en person att känna osäkerhet vid hantering av transaktioner via Internet som vid e-handel och bankärenden. De faktorer som tagits upp är kön, ålder, utbildning och yrkesområde.De slutsatser som framkommit är endast baserade på respondenternas egna erfarenheter och åsikter och de respondenter som besvarat enkäterna anses inte som representanter för exempelvis alla personer inom ett yrkesområde. Enligt de slutsatser som framkommit känner personer en osäkerhet i att handla varor och tjänster via Internet när ingen fysisk person finns närvarande..

The questions posed are: - How did the communication between SAS, media and citizens function during the crisis? - How did senders, intermediaries and beneficiaries experience the information and communication during the crisis? - How important was the internet communication for SAS, media and citizens during the crisis?The collected material consists of interviews and desktop research of material from Internet.The study shows that the communication between SAS, the media and citizens worked well on the social medias but was weaker in all other mediachannels. SAS was also weak in following up information received by media and travelers, and they therefore they had a different picture of the situation during the crisis. SAS thought that the communication worked fine between the parties involved.

Syftet med studien var att få en ökad kunskap om 15-åringars uppfattningar om kränkningar och trakassering på internet och vad de menar kan ha en motverkande effekt på att problemet uppstår. Datainsamling blev genomförd genom fyra fokusgruppintervjuer med 15-åringar från en skola i Sydsverige. Grounded theory användes för analys av intervjuerna. Resultaten teoretiserades ut i från ett genusperspektiv.Resultaten visade att Internet är en given del av ungdomarnas vardag och att kränkningar är vanliga. Både sändaren och mottagaren av en kommentar måste uppfatta den som illa menad för att det skulle vara en kränkning.

I media har det uppmärksammats en rad olika fall beträffande mobbning. Ofta uppmärksammas de barn som begått självmord på grund av den mobbning som pågått i skolan. Studiens syfte är att utifrån den mobbades perspektiv undersöka mobbning med dess konsekvenser både under och efter mobbningsperioden, vilken pågått i grundskolan. Genom en kvalitativ undersökning med utgångspunkt från en narrativ och tematisk analys har vi studerat tolv stycken berättelser vilka är skrivna av personer som tidigare varit mobbade. Dessa berättelser är tagna från två öppna forum på Internet.

Bakgrunden till uppsatsen bygger på reflektioner, som är gjorda under några års tid, av elever som ständigt kommer för sent till morgonlektion och är allmänt trötta. Vad beror denna trötthet på? När det vad tid för uppsatsskrivande i Idrott och Hälsa, kändes det som ett bra tillfälle att fördjupa sig närmare inom området sömn, då sömn är en viktig del av den personliga hälsan. Huvudsyftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att utifrån gymnasieelevers deltagande i undersökningen bilda sig en uppfattning om det finns ett problem med ungdomars sömnvanor och om det är relaterat till hög datoranvändning. Vad det gäller sömn så är undersökningen mest inriktad på att samla information kring hur många timmar eleverna sover och vad de själva anser om sitt sömnbehov.
