Detta examensarbete behandlar problemet med att testa inbyggda system i kontorsmiljö. För att göra detta och därigenom kunna göra anrop på det inbyggda systemets API, måste detta anrop skickas som ett seriellt datapaket över en seriell kommunikationslänk som TCP/IP.Detta möjliggjordes genom att först upprätta en kommunikationslänk med protokollet TCP/IP, där användningen av POSIX-sockets tillämpades. För att packa ner och packa upp funktionsanropen till seriell data implementerades ett protokoll som följdes när detta utfördes. Hantering av data i samband med överföring över TCP/IP sköttes av ett protokoll vid namn BGSFP, ett protokoll som bygger på det tidigare protokollet TSFP..

A field experiment was carried out in 2006 to investigate the effects of deep rotary cultivation on sugarbeet growth. The background to the experiment was a 2005 study showing potentially higher yield, higher cleanness and higher sugar content when primary tillage was carried out to 35 cm depth with a rotary cultivator. On four field sites in Skåne (L:a Isie, Ädelholm, Stävie and Vragerup), five different treatments were compared: mouldboard ploughing in the autumn to 20 cm; mouldboard ploughing in the autumn to 20 cm + rotary cultivation in the spring to 35 cm; rotary cultivation in the autumn to 35 cm; rotary cultivation in the spring to 35 cm; and mouldboard ploughing in the spring to 20 cm. The rotary cultivator used in the treatments is manufactured by a Dutch company, Imants. The implement cultivates the soil with spade tines fitted on arms that are mounted on a horizontal rotating PTO-driven axle. Beet plants were inspected and yield determined in the experiment, and three soil parameters were examined: penetration resistance, water infiltration and infiltration of blue dye. Root shape was also examined. The site at Stävie was not harvested due to poor beet establishment. At the other sites, the highest yield was found when the soil was rotary-cultivated in the autumn.

Monitors affärssystem MONITOR är under ständig utveckling och i och med detta ville man kolla upp huruvida PostgreSQL skulle kunna användas som DBMS istället för det nuvarande; Sybase SQL Anywhere. Examensarbete har därför bestått av en jämförelse hur PostgreSQL står sig jämte andra DBMS:er, en implementering utav en PostgreSQLdatabas som MONITOR arbetar mot samt ett prestandatest utav skapandet av databasen.I många avseenden verkar PostgreSQL vara ett alternativ till SQL Anywhere;Alla datatyper finns i båda dialekterna.Backup av data finns i olika utföranden och går att automatiseraEnkelt att installera och uppdatera.Ingen licensieringskostnad existerar.Support finns tillgänglig i olika former.Dock så är inte PostgreSQL ett bra DBMS att byta till i dagsläget då systemet inte fungerade på grund av att vissa uttryck inte översattes ordentligt samt att ingen motsvarighet till LIST existerar. Ännu större är dock problemet med tiden det tar att flytta data till en PostgreSQL-databas då det inte är intressant att lösa problem med funktioner i systemet om det ändå inte går att använda på grund utav att konvertering av data tar så lång tid som det gör..

The purpose with this study is to examine how the twelve-step program is described by the author J Keith Miller (2004) in his book Steg in i livet and by the author Olle Carlsson (2012) in his book 12steg för hopplösa. Genom vår undersökning ville vi ta reda på om SALSA, Vodafones data warehouse tillgodoser användarnas informationsbehov. Som stöd för vår analys jämförde vi befintliga teorier inom områdena information samt data warehouse, med tillämpning i verkligheten genom vårt referensföretag. Undersökningen har utförts genom skriftliga intervjuer samt enkäter, där två olika undersökningsgrupper ingått. Den ena gruppen har utgjorts av SALSAs utvecklare och den andra av SALSAs användare. Den hypotes som vi arbetat med är "SALSA tillgodoser användarnas informationsbehov" med underfrågorna "Vilka krav kan användarna rimligen ställa på SALSA?", "Vilken information saknar användarna att få fram från SALSA?", "Vilka förslag på förbättringar gällande SALSA har användarna?" samt "Räcker användarforum för att framföra användarnas synpunkter på SALSA?".

I dagsläget samlas data från tunneldrivning in manuellt och skrivs sedan in i ett dataprotokoll.Dessa protokoll används sedan som dokumentation och redovisning gentemot beställaren. Föratt effektivisera denna datahantering har här en ny systembeskrivning upprättats. Värdena som inhämtas från tunneldrivningsmaskinerna skall automatiskt skickas över till en databas, vilket innebär att all information kommer att vara digital. Syftet är att utveckla ett nätverk som är kopplat mellan maskinerna nere i tunneln och datorerna på kontoret.Alla viktiga värden som fås i samband med bergdrift ska samlas från olika tunnelprojekt och lagras i en databas. Med viktiga värden menas all tänkbar typ av data som ärtill nytta för kalkylering, uppföljning, ekonomi och KMA (kvalitet, miljö och arbetsmiljö) för projektet som t.ex.

This study examines regional integration in Africa with a focus on the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, COMESA. COMESA, with roots that go back to the beginning of the 1980?s, is one of the largest and most diverse areas for regional integration in Africa and has currently 19 member countries. The goal of the COMESA co-operation is to become a fully integrated area by the year 2025 that will merge into the African Union (AU). AU will then, in turn, create a fully integrated African continent in a not too far away future.

The main objective of this study is to divide a number of colorectal cancer cases into subgroups based on their molecular features using cluster analysis. The data used is supplied by a research group at Pathology, the Department of Medical Biosciences, Umeå University, and consists, after some preparation, of 455 observations which is a larger data set than many similar studies. The molecular variables that the clustering is based on are CIMP (CpG Island Methylator Phenotype), MSI (Micro Satellite Instability), BRAF- and KRAS-mutations. These are categorical variables and consequently the clustering method used is PAM (Partitioning Around Medoids) which is particularly useful with data on diverse variable level. The final analysis results in four subgroups that are represented by different combinations of attributes on the aforementioned variables.

Företaget vill utvidga sitt sortiment genom att marknadsföra motordrivna höj- och sänkbara TVstativ mot den offentliga sektorn. Stativet ska konstrueras efter samma tekniska lösningar och principer som företaget redan tillämpar. Uppdraget delades ut som ett examensarbete till Jönköpings Tekniska Högskola, JTH.Författarna har genom en tilldelad kravspecifikation och egna fältstudier på marknaden lagt grunden för utvecklingen av TV-stativet. Genom olika välkända arbetsmetoder har arbetet kartlagts, planerats i detalj och varit till hjälp vid beslut av större och mindre konceptval.
